  • Full detail on lowering the front end. This is a 4inch drop. Highly recommend only going 3inch for daily riding.

      Really appreciate that! I was afraid I wasn’t giving enough explanation or detail by not talking in the videos.

    Great videos , what is the purpose of cutting the coil and adding the spacer with a cushion rod? Lenght or performance?

      Sorry for late response
      It’s mostly for looks. Wanted the bike as low as I could get it for research purposes mostly. It handled well but definitely not a long touring bike anymore. Was more of a around town short trip bike

    Did you consider moving the forks up 1-1.5 inches at the triple tree?

    • @rev7garage
      @rev7garage  3 роки тому +1

      Yes I’ve done that. I feel like it looks kinda cheap in my opinion. So I learned as much as I could about lowering forks... wether it’s pulling through the triple, cut springs/dampener spacer, or ordering a kit and I found the best results were the way I taped this video. Kits are expensive and pulling through the trees just didn’t give me the clean look I wanted but definitely budget friendly if your wanting a quick way to get back on the road

      @@rev7garage I dig what you did but it was only 3 inches, 1.75 worked for me, save me the trouble and I spent money other places. Don't get me wrong , I appreciate your build. I learned a lot from it and thought your videos were awesome. You customized it to how YOU wanted it and it was greatness to me cause YOU did it all! I am proud of you for your build young man and wish you the best in many more builds! God Speed! Keep us posted on all your next builds! I will be watching.

      Thanks man! Yea what I did also made the rear end a lot stiffer. I’m not a huge dude but it took a lot of sag out of the stock front end. For the little bit your lowering it, I’d think pulling through is fine. It shouldn’t bottom out
      Been slacking taping new content. Just been pounding out custom work. Have 2 more bikes almost built

    Are those the stock forks?

    • @rev7garage
      @rev7garage  2 роки тому +2

      They are stock forks that have been lowered 4inches. Given the chance I’d never go that low again lol. It was maxed out on bumpy roads. 2.5 inches seems to be the sweet spot
