As a LONG TIME MEMBER of the Illawarra Light Railway Museum Society (joined in 1972) I am SUPER excited about Wallaby and seeing her in her many liveries as displayed in Albion Park ILRMS park was such a joy...Preorder placed for two of her...
OO Scale for this small locomotive will work similarly to the Peckett from Hornby an few years ago which looks small enough to work with my industrial, tight curved urban industrial layout.
Thank you for continuing to keep us updated
Great stuff Nicolai! Should be a great little model!
Great news video Will. I recently picked up some of the trees you sell and they are awesome! Looking forward to picking up more at the AMRA exhibition at the Melbourne showgrounds! I'll hopefully be attending the Waverly model railway exhibition this month. Looking forward to it. - Nicholas.
Thanks Nicholas!
Will, another great news video.
Thank you for taking the time to collate all of the news, I really appreciate it, as I am sure everyone who watches does.
Cheers, and keep the good videos coming. Michael
Thank you so much Michael!
Another thorough news session. Great work assembling all the info, Will!
Thank you mate!
Great update Will. So many good things on the horizon. I picked up two Auscision n scale NR's, one dcc/sound and one dc which I will put a decoder in. I will be keeping an eye on Lyndons and Badger bits websites for their releases. On the brightside modelling Aussie prototypes has never been better but on the downside my wallet is taking a beating. Even though I now model N scale I still buy the odd Ho scale loco as well because I can't help it :)
Outstanding info and video again Will, Will be going to the Perth show this weekend and see the ABR stall there
Thanks Andrew! I hope to see you there in 2024!
Thanks Will, anothet great video. Looks like I'll be making a visit to Auscision to check out the new N gauge engines and some of their rolling stock. Once again great job.
Thanks Allan! Some good stuff there!
Awesome Video Will!
Thanks Gabe
Thank you for another great video, I have mentioned before how much this channel has helped me get in to the hobby
Thank you Scott!
Thanks for adding the 3 Foot 6 Models QR1400 project to your video Will! There are two versions under development- in OO scale and HO scale. The OO is designed to use a Frateschi A-1-A chassis and HOn3.5 a Northyard chassis. I will post updates on the test prints once they're completed in the next fortnight
Not a problem, it’s a great thing to see!
Be sure to email me the photos and details and I’ll make sure it’s in next month!
Thank you Will for another excellent presentation
Thanks John
Thanks Will l just want to thank you for all your hard work as l really enjoy and look forward to the informative programs that you produce keep up the good work !!!
Thank you very much Mal!
Good round up. There are some tempting items on the way!
Thanks Daniel
Thank you very much Will for all the hard work you put in every time. Hope you find time to sleep btw!
Thank you!
I sure don’t! Haha
Hi will I’m so happy that your going to the AMRE I hope I get to have a photo with you😊
I'm pretty keen to be coming over for it! I've never been!
V/Line stuff in the background................................................. that's a yes from me.🤜
great video once again, seeing more and more improvements in the videos! I got to ask where did you here about the Eureka Models, i pre ordered a c38 last year and havnt heard anything since, with emails not getting replied to or phone calls. Was hoping on ordering a AD60 Garratt as well
Thank you Jordan!
I’m sorry to hear that, personally I wouldn’t order from them especially with their track record or non delivery and communication. The 38 re run has been coming out for years and keeps getting the date changed.
At this point I’d be surprised if it ever comes unless someone else takes over the project. That’s my opinion and nothing more.
@@WillJamesRailways yes I was wanrned haha thankfully only put $100. Glad I didn't order the Garratt now haha. I got a question for you what are you buying out of the auscision re run?
Yeah still, pretty bad service.
I got three steel wagon packs and the one VHQF pack. Was a bit let down they didn’t do a couple more number options for them to make a 9 wagon apex! But at least my steel train is pretty much complete!
@@WillJamesRailways ooh you better do a video on your steel train now haha
The 'other' N Scale models from Auscision are the C44aci locos and the NHFF-type coal/grain wagons
Thank you for that!
Hi Will. I've been a subscriber to your channel for a while. I belong to the BRMA. We will be exhibiting one of our member's (Gavin Thrum) layouts - "Porthminster" at the Adelaide show. It's great that you are coming along. Unfortunately, I'll only be operating the layout there on the Monday so I might miss you. Anyway, make sure you don't miss the layout. I'm sure all the guys there would love to meet you.
Thanks Richard!
I’m excited to see it! Well you never know I might be around! We’ll see in a week and a bit! Thanks again for watching!
It's a pleasure Will. You make great quality videos. I always enjoy watching them.
Brilliant video Will James
Thank you
The shot at 2:21 is an absolute ripper! I love the layout! Are you coming to AMRE?!
I say it at least twice in the video that I’ll be there!
Hey Will another great news session. Any chance you can do a video about Model Rail Australian back scenes/drops. Such as manufactures, whats available etc. Thanks
Thanks! They’ve been featured before hopefully if they have new products they let us know!
I love your news and videos usually as there are not many Australian youtube channels that do this.
That said, I found the "ramble" at the start a little off putting. I guess I will get shot down for this, but it almost felt a little condescending, like we were being talked down to a bit and told off for not watching videos to the end, which is not something I usually feel about your videos. Normally I find you quite down to earth and easy going, making really great videos. I do usually watch your videos all the way to the end, and I appreciate the hard work you put in.
Sorry Brendan, I never meant to come across like that.
It’s been an ongoing thing I’ve seen, even this month I’ve already received emails that had requests for information, that where covered in this video. It’s becoming slightly disheartening and makes me wonder if I should continue if people are only really watching the start then complaining about me ‘not including something’
I’ll have a good think some more on going forward with the channel, once again I am sorry if I came off rude or condescending.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING GREAT SHUPER DETAILED VIDEO
Thanks Robert
Cool video mate ill be at amre running trains hopefully
Nice one Bradley!
Great work again mate!🤘😠
Thanks Joseph!
I am think about how to make and what to get on my layout mines gonna be about Ballarat this video gonna help me!
I’m not sure how much the news will help! But there might be somethings in there that apply to modelling Ballarat! Good luck with that huge undertaking
It’s helps to show what’s going on in the model world :)
I like the dig about online pre-orders 🙂
These companies need to move into 2023! Not 2003.
Another sensational news broadcast Will! The major networks could learn a lot from you 🫶
Thanks mate!
Have you heard anything about whether the amra nsw Sydney model train exhibition that is usually held over the October long weekend will be on this year? Their Facebook and website have not been updated in over a year so I’m assuming it’s not happening this year. Thanks
Hey! So I spoke to them earlier on the year and was it will not be happening. I’m not sure if they’ll do it in 2024 either
@@WillJamesRailways That is a shame. COVID must have done a real number on them. Most other groups seem to have recovered and are back into it.
I hope somebody distributes the Yamorc DCC products in Australia, by the same designer of the Digikeijs gear.
Wouldn’t be affected by the company going into receivership?
Deleted my last reply since I've done a little more reading on the subject.
Guess i'm going to try and get a YD9401 chip to upgrade my Dr5000 to the new standard.
Would be nice to see CLF1 and 3 in SSR livery with the correct whistles…
I guess we’ll see what happens when they’re released. These weren’t production samples
Hi Will, I am thinking of getting into Model Railroading. I'm based in Bathurst NSW and was contemplating going to the Rails@Rosehill exhibition. From my understanding it would cost $290 just to walk in the door, is this correct?. Is this the usual cost of these events? (I don't need accommodation or canapes or morning tea.. just want to look and ask some questions) . . cheers
Hey!
Fantastic to hear!
That’s correct it’s $290 for the weekend. This is a rather unique event.
A normal Model railway exhibition is usually $10-$20 for entry depending on size.
Rails@Rosehill is a convention which is specially clinics and other things.
I’d say that you are much better off going to a normal exhibition or visiting a local club if you can!
My wallet is shivering over the prospect of the SDS stone wagons!
Auscision just cleared me out with the steel wagons
The 41 Class re-run is all I want right now. 😅 I've got 5 so only another 5 to go...
Excellent to hear! I wouldn’t mind one in the collection, a very interesting looking locomotive! Thanks for watching Jack
Might want to update the links in your description so that they are clickable.
Far out I was up all night fixing them! Looks like I’ll be in for another all nighter. I’m very sorry about that. I will try harder in future. Sorry again.
I’m currently at work and can’t fix them. I’ll try again tonight. I am so sorry again. I’ve been trying to improve the videos but here we are.
I’ll have to ask that you copy and paste them until I can hopefully fix them tonight.
I am once again very sorry for this and I can only keep trying. But yeah I’m actually pretty upset I’ve messed this up. Sorry
@@WillJamesRailways all good, I just started watching your videos about 1 week ago as I just started to get interested in model trains. I am very keen to see an exhibition and I had not found a good source of information. When you mentioned you had a site I wanted to click it straight away.
From a quick look online all you need to do is include the full url.
Hi Will, have 2 "N" and 1 "X" that need a service. Do you know of someone? Mike HO. Thanks for the May episode. Mike HO
Hey Mike!
If they’re not brass, I’d give Trainworld in Melbourne a ring!
Thanks, Will
I am no genius by any stretch of the imagination, but it looks like you've had a little incident on your layout behind you :P
Ah I tried to sage something but it just looks a mess. Very sorry about it. It’ll be fixed hopefully this month to something neater!
@@WillJamesRailways are you trying to hide something 🤔 🤣🤣
I hope the incident was reported to ONSRR before they see this video 🤣
19:31 - 8300 not 830 class van?
Ive probably made a mistake! Sorry
Will, why do model train sellers insist on using old world tech for pre-orders? A week ago I lodged a pre-order and was told I could NOT pay by direct debit and that, despite having PayPal, it was AGAINST PayPal policy to use it for pre-orders, even though I could have sworn I had purchased a 3D printer that way, The model rail company's intransigence ended up costing an extra $15 for a bank cheque and $5 for registered mail and I am still waiting for an acknowledgement. But, imagine if I had filled out the form's credit card details and it was intercepted by a baddie. Noooo!
Far out how antiquated. This is one of the reasons I will not preorder via these outdated methods and frankly I can only encourage others to do so until it’s modernized. If the smaller manufacturers can do it, then the big ones certainly can.
@@WillJamesRailways Spot on . Chers
PLEASE rerail that loco before it falls onto the floor.
Pete
It’s fine! Lol
@@WillJamesRailways Tis good; seeing it had me reaching for the Minties. I hate the possibility of damage. Today I saw some scratchbuilt models from the mid sixties and late 50s. Real modelling culture.
Cheers: Pete
