Carl Got to say what a fantastic layout, this is what this sort of scale railway modelling is all about, non of this rivet counting its the wrong colour green fuss pots who deter people from entering railway modelling. Really inspiring layout Carl and after seeing your layout it has inspired me to create my own (though in 009 scratch). I sourced a copy of Emetts Early Morning Milk Trains yesterday and there is plenty to model. I look forward to seeing your updates as the layout progresses and make no apologies for the brilliant ideas I will steal from you! As Stephen says below, it is a breath of fresh air to see a totally indulgent layout like this and great for getting my mojo back after becoming disillusioned with the way the modelling hobby is moving. Looking forward to the progress updates. Thanks
Thats the main reason I built this one, to entertain the grandkids , well thats what I told the wife, I have finally been talked into taking it on the road to a few exhibitions, ones in York or Harrogate , can't remember which but its next year, might see you there 😃

I've built many different layouts in lots of scales over the years and never felt or wanted to take them to exhibitions, I just enjoy building them and then sell them on, but after finding a copy of Emetts punch books and seeing how this layout is progressing, I think it's one I'd like to keep and do something I've never done before and exhibit it. It would be lovely to see the reaction and to see if there's people out there like yourselves who enjoy a different kind of layout. Many thanks again, you really do make my day.
