Got to say, I much preferred your video on the Targa. I liked the way you set the scene by talking about the origins of the Targa and how this is carried on and improved in the new car. The Turbo has an amazing origin story that would have been a perfect intro to the rest of the video.
From the back, the slope and volume of the glass makes it look special to me. I can't see it being used at speed with the roof open, but then this is a car for the show-off - and I'd love to have one! Another great video chap!!
@@74aamer Basalt Black is perfect for that Bad Boys retro feel, and if you want to not attract any attention from jealous car owners who don't have 650 hp to play with.
Very well done video explaining the turbo s , curious to know what the interior color is graphite blue with chalk stitching or black with chalk stitching
Great review! 👍 I feel like the difference in ride quality with the 992 is with coupe and cabriolet weight difference. The car does feel more bumpy in the cabriolet version.
Did you know that when it's sunny outside those things on your head that hold your wavy blond hair in place can be used to protect your eyes from said sun. They're called sunglasses and are very useful especially when driving 😎
The 992 is so much bigger than I expected. Side by side I actually prefer the 997.2. Porsche's are actually getting bigger or are people just getting bigger lol 😂
Clearly you don’t have kangaroos, wallaby’s or wombats in the UK. We have them in Australia and driving fast down narrow roads like you have been here could result in a road kill and spoil a beautiful car.
The 992 is the worse looking model in the history of the 911. The dashboard is nice, but the car is now the size of a boat. It looks so incredibly bland, vanilla and way too large. The Cayman has a far superior design language.
Agreed there are aspects of the 992 design which doesn't sit well with me. I like what the Turbo has done at the back though, moving the rear licence plate up to fill that weird void that the Carreras have.
I like how the length of this video is 9:11

Great review mate. Definitely not my 911 of choice but the performance figures are unreal. 0-60 in 2.7s with the roof down, wowza!
Thanks Simon. Agreed, not my go-to 911 but hard to argue with the performance figures, especially with the roof down!
So which one do you like
The non convertible 911 turbo s??
Another great review and video Lee - you got great weather to enjoy that new Turbo ‘S’ Cabriolet as well!
Thanks Paul! I can confirm the aftersun was needed that evening!

That Gentian Blue is certainly the way to spec the 992 for sure.
Agreed, an absolutely stunning colour.
I would not have that seat colour though but agreed exterior is a great colour
What about black
@@74aamer Basalt Black is perfect for that Bad Boys retro feel, and if you want to not attract any attention from jealous car owners who don't have 650 hp to play with.
@@iceberg4736 Night Blue is also an excellent choice. Very beautiful yet a bit more subtle than the Gentian.
You and MRJWW first to get there drive on you tube very nice
did he do a nice douche pose next to the car for the thumbnail?
2:50 that shape and lines, how retro n modern is this 992. Brilliant ! and btw the non opf Carreras sound good. unlucky EU.
Good, detailed review with fair observations both pro and con 👍.
Thanks Terry!

Thanks! The Cab is a much better ride in 992 form over 991, but I feel the Turbo Cab is just too much weight.
991 was pretty good, but I think we can safely call the 992 the best looking "soft top" ever
Agreed!
What is the front spoiler made up of? Is it a soft flexible material? Doesn't it get caught on speed bumps?
It can be flapped in and the car can be raised electroniclly
If the turbo/turbo S actually wider at the front and rear than the 992 carreras?
yes
Brilliant review. I have driven the 996 997 Turbos and loved them. A bit more analog than these I would imagine?
I'd take a 997.2 over any 992. They're just to big now.
How is 0-62 in 2.7a all around? Shouldn't the Carrera s be all around?

A beautiful work of Art , again Porsche never cease to amaze .
Some great tech specs there Lee .. I’ve made Notes 📝 #quiz 😉
Ahahaha!! You're wise to do so!
Great review, glad you went into some technical detail. Yes it’s just too big for UK B roads which is a shame !
Would most of you go for the coupe or this cabriolet
Aamer Habib Going for the cab. It’s sexier
That’s a powerful car!
Another 9m:11s video. Brilliant!!
Thank you Rashed!
If you feel the car is too heavy, you’d be better off driving the coupe version specd with the CF roof.
still waiting for your 991.1 GT3 RS video
Yes I need to get that sorted soon don't I!
Great review Lee, as always. 992 just too big, heavy and tech laden for my liking though. I’ll stick with the earlier water cooled stuff.
Enjoyed that, lovely car but £178k is serious money. Loving my 991.2 GT3, best 911 ever
Yes it's huge money, but less than others in its sector.
Traded my GT3 for a TTS...no regrets....more versatile for my daily use...
Think it’s a great car, and particularly like the convertible. Sounds like there may be a targa version which would be tempted
It seemed inevitable that the 911 turbo would be turbocharged at some stage.
Don’t think this model either is going to make me get out of my Carrera T. Any news on a 992 Carrera T?
No news on 992 T, we'll have a 992 GTS first.
Porsche are really pushing the 911 towards a daily and an awesome GT car. I'm.not a hater of the new models but i prefer a moe analogue 911.
Wait 20 years and buy a 992. There was a time when the 996 was considered too advanced
I'm with ya!
Beautiful car, but as you say it’s a big old bus to hustle down a country B road.
A mighty big bus!
The 992 is so much bigger than I expected. Side by side I actually prefer the 997.2. Porsche's are actually getting bigger or are people just getting bigger lol 😂

Yes we're lucky not to have that sort of wildlife here!
The kid voice and shorts lost me by 1:30....
Too much to go wrong and too fat. Cayman GT4 🙏
cookie cutters are back

I like 991.2 TTS more refined looks better
tesla is better
And Teslas have poor quality interior
