I hope there's enough copopods you can have a mandarin dragonette ... are we really gonna mix Santa Maria endlers in with common endlers?! Seems like a waste of a good bloodline of fish. J/S Puffer tank needs 200 glow light tetras!!! Oooh giant danios with rainbow fish??!?!?!?!??
If I can speak for your followers, we are so happy for you both as you live out OUR fishkeeping dreams😁 I'm blessed to be able to witness all these amazing tanks coming together as your studio grows and evolves. 2024 will be amazing!
I third that for sure. MD influenced me back into the hobby. He and Mat are my fave dynamic duo on UA-cam. I high five myself when a see a new video posted haaaaa! Peace
I really like the "new concept" going on lately, more focus on fish and (how to) keeping a scape, and more diversity. I think you found a nice balance between the "natural" and the more aquascape sort of stuff. Keep doing both and doing even more elaborate scapes. And look at you knowing the plants name and stuff :). And great idea with adding the saltwater too. Big thumbs up here.
@christopher_scott The things you *( TWO , U2 ) * 😻🕑🕝 There is no I in TEMU ? Wait , MD and Matt are doing Aquariums like BILLIONAIRES TEMU TEMU TEMU Sorry boys , they made me an offer WE couldn't refuse !!!
Hi MD, my first job was working in a tropical fish shop many years ago and I loved it. I wanted to say that your channel reminded me how much I enjoyed the hobby and my wife and I now have 3 aquascaped, heavily planted and low hassle tanks filled with fish and shrimp that we love. We watch your channel on our television and love your videos. I'm from the South-West of the UK and it's amazing to see your channel thrive (and of course Fish Shop Matt's!) Your enthusiasm and your talent is so impressive, and we both wish you all the best for the year ahead!
As a little girl, my father kept a 150 gallon saltwater tank absolutely filled to the brim with all sorts of corals, anemones, and a small number of fish my brother and I were allowed to name. I’m in my 30s now, and just happened to stumble upon your incredible channel which unlocked so many fond childhood memories. I’m so thrilled to see such friendly enthusiasts sharing their passion with the world. Looking forward to seeing more of your content in the future! ❤️
Love the edit about the saying I instead we. That speaks for the kind of person you are. Thanks for enabling me to enjoy and relax after a days work with all great aquarium stuff!
Today is the day I can finally put water in my tank It’s been months of prep time slowly gathering materials and equipment but now I just gotta grab a few more things and then I can finally start Thank you MattD fish tanks
Fully inspired over here in the US! I started my aquarium journey just a couple of months ago thanks to this channel, and things are coming along beautifully! Keep up the good work!
I appreciate the detail you guys go into when building your tanks. I’ve watched nearly every video on your channel and I still learn something new each time because you’re talking through what you do and why. This video was a lot of fun to watch. Thanks so much guys!
8:40 I remember Great African Lakes tanks in ZOO which had so much rock I wouldn't trust to load it in my car trunk at once. So true, it's about load distribution.
Guys these tanks are beautiful. The salt water is growing well. Let's do something a little different. Sunken city or black beards ship Atlantis. I know that's saltwater but it will be fun. I didn't think I'd like the red carpet tank but I really do. Lol the Acarras think it's feeding time. The back wall is perfect. Use one as a hospital tank. Okay off to Matt's channel.🎉🎉🎉
Its so great to see how far you have come! I remember I came across your channel back when you first got started in the shed at only a few thousand subs. Now your almost to 1 million! congrats man you deserve it!
Been watching your channel since the early days of the shed. Watching your channel grow, and you getting to do what you love, has been awesome to watch🙌🏽
Sehr schöne Galerie! Im Aquarium mit den Regenbogenfischen solltest du man ordentlich gärtnern, denn die Fische lieben freien Schwimmraum und die Corydoras freie Flächen am Boden zum gründeln! 😉
I gotta say I love the longer videos! You guys post alot of 20 minute plus videos and I think it's great. Alot of subs I watch might do 10 to 20 and it seems like it's over in a minute. Keep up the great work and channel!
Love the tour seeing all the tanks and updates on some of the newer different styles you have made. It was your channel that made me want to get a tank again last year and I am about to setup at scape my 40 gallon breeder I built into an all in one. Looking forward to more this year, love having Matt along for the ride as well.
Seeing all this knowing how you started with that shed in your backyard. I even remember some tanks you made for on the kitchen counter. You came from far, content keeps improving everyday. Very nice to see you learn more day in day out. Id love to see your boys reaction on some scapes from time to time tho. Keep up the good work. You really work hard and it is amazing that you are able to make a living from your hobby.
Remember? You don't need expensive lights and tanks, look at this shop light and this found wood and rock and gravel and this cheap tank i bought. now its bling bling bling
Beautiful tour as always and nice shout out to Matt there 👍 and completely understandable to say “I” out of habit after so many years creating MD fish tanks on your own!
Love to see how well you've planned everything! That's a business where it's rewarding to work. And you don't forget about resting. That's just some great management❤ not all people understand how important it is.
Listen i used to keep fish and had a MASSIVE phase of making planted betta tanks and spending a weeks wages at my local MHA... but ive since realised fiah keeping isnt for me lol. That said i LOVE fish and wish i could keep a planted tank alive for more than a month. Now i use your energy and the inspiration i get, to look after *my* passion which is my planted reptile vivariums! I keep dozens of reptiles and honestly the inspiration for good vivs/tanks is the same!
Your tanks are so beautiful it would be great if you could just do an 8 hour video of just the tanks to music as an addition to all that you do. Truly beautiful
Thank you for sharing your ideas. I love the tank wall and can't wait to try it with 20 gallon tanks in my family room. I can't wait to see the amazing things you and Matt will do in 2024.
The red carpet tank is really beautiful in its simplicity, and the red makes it because it’s so striking and interesting even in its simplicity. The darkness of red plants makes them easier to look at, more restful than bright greens. I also really enjoyed the variation in texture of the ‘algae carpet’ tank, and if the creatures enjoy it then it’s not too bad
I love watching your videos. 2023 was definitely a great year for you. Looking forward to watching this new yr. MD and Matt you two are like a little sitcom. So enjoyable. Thank You for the entertainment, and the fish scapes. I always smile while watching. :-)
Thank MD and Matt for being an inspiration to many including me. I'd like to think my level of scaping abilities have grown because of you both and the videos. Cheers from Naples FL. 🍻 👍🏼 Oh and what an amazing fishroom/gallery/studio/heaven lol
MD, Matt love the tour. You guys have done awesome work in the studio! Up until this point I've been itching to see that rainbow fish tank trimmed back way more. Idk what it is I've just had this feeling they need more swim room. I am super happy to hear they will be getting more swim room but kindve disappointed at the same time. It's easily my favourite tank so I will be sad when u break it down but super happy we will get to see the rainbows busy swimming laps very soon! 2023 was full of great entertainment and inspiration I ended up making a shrimp vase based on your vase it's doing great and I scaped a 4ft angel tank too for my dad he loves it. Cheers 🍻
I've been subscribed to your channel for about 8 months now. I haven't had a fish tank in over 15 years. The one I had never did well, I had a severe lack of knowledge. I sold it. Watching your channel has inspired me! I want a tank again. I'm in the market for a new tank and stand. Once I find one that I like I will need to find a good light and filter. Once I have the tank I will start collecting hardscape items here and there from local fish shops. I cant order plants still spring, I'm in the US and temps today are -12F. Anyway what I am getting at is your channel is giving me hope and excitement! I wondered if you could do a maintenance video on one of your heavy planted tanks. Show us what you do to keep them so clean and beautiful. The process of cleaning the glass, changing the water, trimming the plants and replanting the stems, cleaning out the filter, etc.). Maybe call it planted tank maintenance 101? Just a suggestion.
Free video idea:the first try scape! Meaning you don't get to rearrange the hardscape, once a piece is placed, it stays that way no moving around. Purpose of the video you ask? Test your skills, have a contest with Matt :))
As a HAVAC technician I wouldn’t recommend having any aquariums directly underneath your AC unit, for future maintenance or troubleshooting reasons, other wise you would have to move them out of the way or if something like a water leak were to occur you wouldn’t that water to get into your aquariums. 🤙🏾
Love the vid and y'alls styles of scaping. Would love to see a vid where you go around the studio and spot issues or problems with fish or plants and tell us how you would fix them. Whether it's more or less feedings or fertilizers, more or less light, what prompts you to test the water parameters. It would be great to see what it takes to maintain them beyond just regular trimmings. Can't wait to see what all you do this coming year.
All the tanks are beautiful guys. The first Angel tank is pure art!. I Would love to see a long shallow river tank with really fast flow in the studio, sort of like the sloped shiner tank in the shop.
time for the quarterly review like a corporation, and you two have exceeded expectations. as a reward you wont have to clean out my snake and tarantula enclosures. hahaha
I need advice. We will be adding an addition to our house, which includes a 15’x20’ sun room for my wife’s plants. I want to get back into aquariums but never had this much space to dedicate to the hobby. I’ve kept a 55-gallon tank before, and on another occasion I had a few 10-gallons at one time. If you could build a 20’ long wall of tanks (and I can stack them)… would you put in just a few 75-gallon tanks? Or would you put in several 55-gallon tanks? I have a wood shop so I can build a wall unit that accommodates whatever I want. I’m leaning towards filling the lower row with 75-gallon tanks and then the upper row being 20-gallon tanks.
Thanks, MD! I enjoy this way more then 3+ hours of old content patched together! When will you move to a bigger studio? You could open an Aquarium, like London Aquarium. Many would come to visit, I believe!
I discovered your channel last october 2023! It has been an inspiration for my fish keeping and designs. Started with an 8x6x8 betta tank. Now with a 20 gallon upgrade (5th upgrade, got a lot of little tanks now lol). Thank you for creating a step by step videos for your designs! Plan to create a studio too in the future. I just need the cash hahahahahaha!!!!!
Yeah, our definitions of affordable are definitely different. 😅 It's amazing what y'all have done with the studio, though, and I absolutely love every single one of your tanks. Lifetime goals. Good stuff!
I wonder if your smaller fish would like the tiny baby meal worms, it’s stupid easy to get them to breed, I accidentally have a strong colony in my cresty vivarium 😅

The puffer tank is unbelievable. 12/10!!
The puffers either want to get fed or they are stressed because there seemed to be some glass surfing going on! Sick video again, loved it!
The longer, the better! Love watching you two together.
Even though I have had tropical fish for 40 years now, I have learnt so much watching your videos. Legend.
Right on time, I just sat down!
When do we get an update of Martin's pond?😊
Great to see all the tanks, love the tour.
I feed my puffers freeze dried krill, mainly--supplemented with frozen goodies, live snails, and also pellets (they will eat vibra bites).
I think the storage tank wall is great, but it also has meant fewer videos involving trips to the fish store, and I kind of miss those. :)
It was nice to see all the tanks at once
So happy listening to your talks
Guys these tanks are beautiful. The salt water is growing well. Let's do something a little different. Sunken city or black beards ship Atlantis. I know that's saltwater but it will be fun.
I didn't think I'd like the red carpet tank but I really do. Lol the Acarras think it's feeding time. The back wall is perfect. Use one as a hospital tank.

I like seeing the progression of the tanks and how they have maturedd, good vid
Absolutely love this channel
time for the quarterly review like a corporation, and you two have exceeded expectations. as a reward you wont have to clean out my snake and tarantula enclosures. hahaha
Yey! for the long video 🎉 Loved it!
I love what you do. You both inspire me! Thank you.❤
Such beautiful tanks. You inspired me into this hobby and I have not regretted it, even with all of the fails! Cannot wait to see what 2024 brings.
Thankyou for sharing tanks are beautiful ❤ looking forward to more in 2024
I need advice.
Just love that Mbuna tank… I want one 😝 would love to see a big cichlid fish tank with Jack Dempsey or an Oscar….
13:34 what’s the name to this fish?
I discovered your channel last october 2023! It has been an inspiration for my fish keeping and designs. Started with an 8x6x8 betta tank. Now with a 20 gallon upgrade (5th upgrade, got a lot of little tanks now lol). Thank you for creating a step by step videos for your designs!
Plan to create a studio too in the future. I just need the cash hahahahahaha!!!!!
I started fish and aquascaping in july 2023 lol. Not that anyone is asking
matt my man
What would you do if there is an Eartquake or it gets no electricity? i really need the answer
Thanks so much to both of you for your hard work! Do you think you could ever do a uk native tank please? Either freshwater or rockpool?
Yeah, our definitions of affordable are definitely different. 😅 It's amazing what y'all have done with the studio, though, and I absolutely love every single one of your tanks. Lifetime goals. Good stuff!
When is the 8ft arriving? I'm looking forward to seeing that.
I wonder if your smaller fish would like the tiny baby meal worms, it’s stupid easy to get them to breed, I accidentally have a strong colony in my cresty vivarium 😅
Hi dude.. Started binge-watching your channel videos, man! Awesome videos 👌
