- 15 cichlid tanks in one fish room! In episode 2 from Washington, D.C., Mike shows us his incredible cichlid tank setups, including a military room with 4 aquariums, and then a full fish room in his basement with 11 more tanks.
We loved seeing all of the different cichlid tanks, but even more - we enjoyed getting to know Mike and sharing his inspiring story. In our previous video, we discussed, how the aquarium hobby changed his life. Like many other first responders or service members, Mike dealt with combat issues, PTSD, and trauma, and his fish room and aquariums gave him a valuable outlet and positive hobby to improve his well being and mental health. Deff not a trimac….Vieja for sure! I’d keep them together but upgrade the tank, they will need a very large tank and I’d say take a page out of the African Cichlid book, crowding the tank will help out with any aggression.

Those red terrors need a black sand, they’re washed out because of the white sand. Nice Set up fella 👍☹️
They’re also young so I don’t think the sand matters at this point
