I've been trying to catch them around the Syracuse area for awhile so im just wondering do you know roughly around the time they come into Syracuse and do you have any spot you recommend I go to see them?
Good video. The platform at Ridgefield Park is a good spot. Been there many times as I live in Rutherford. First went there in the mid 90's during the Conrail era. Going to start visiting again in a couple of weeks. Are you a model railroader as well? If you are, those large NSC 6400 cubic foot trash gondolas that were in the consist of the last train are being made in HO scale by OVR Trains. They have them in AIMX, CDEX, IWXX, WINX, DEAX, Cardella & Oak Ridge just to name a few. The level of detail on these models is on par with Athearn Genesis, ScaleTrains, etc. I'm hoping someone will produce the NJ Transit GP40PH-2 in model form.
What were these other locomotives called that were hooked up to this sd70m those don't look like SD40s they look a lot bigger than that my guess they look like they're upgraded SD 60s possibly can you let me know what these two units are better hooked up to the new painted locomotive????

What is the scanner frequency they use
when does trains leave the yard? I want to go up there this month and am completely clueless what to expect.
What’d the conductor say to you on the way by?
Not sure
The NYSW is NOT a north/south RR.
