Possible scenarios
Pope Francis cannot take back his decision out of following reason:
1. his decisions in the world church will have a negative impact, in case if he would take back the warning given to the priests of Ekm Archdiocese: therefore possible outcomes would be:
A. Suspension to the majority of priests in the archdiocese of Ekm. in order to revoke the suspension, priests will apologise which then will lead to Eventual reconciliation under specific conditions: synod mass has to be then said by these priests.
B. Suspension; willful actions of the clerics of Ekm against popes warning , they will continue celebrating the same masses: (nissahakarana prasthaanam) eventual excommunication and a division for the time being in the church.
To those who quote canon law: when there is division in the local parish and if the local parish governing bodies stand against the pope, the law of the land will prevail.
C. Rom will keep the issue lagging until the next pope comes😂
D. People are fed up, they turn against the clergy and force them to accept the decisions of the pope.
I personally feel
Pope is almost unable to take back his warning due to two reasons
1. he must then always review his decisions
2. majority of syro Malabar church will be against him
I really feel bad for Ekm since they are bullied in the name of obedience and liturgical unity.
