    There just nothing like a monsters N/A big block making big power for the street. Everything from starting it up at the gas station to giving it the spurs, it shakes the ground and most people think the world coming to an end. Thank you for another great video

    @TheHorsepowerMonster you should have mentioned in the video that with a cam swap, it COULD BE run on 91-93. Look how many people are disappointed it doesn't. It's a great build and video, but it should have been mentioned, not everyone knows you can run "high compression" on pump gas with proper cam timing.

      With that long rod in there it's going to be tough to make much of a dish in the piston....might be better to go with an open combustion chamber to get the CR down.

      this just isn't plausible for most people who drive their stuff on the street with any regularity... not every gas station has e85 or race gas. you could get those same power numbers much more reliably and be able to run it on pump 93 if you just added boost to a lower CR engine .... not for nothing but i'm calling this engine the youtuber special because that's the only person this engine makes sense for

    Fit nicely in the engine compartment of 67 to 72 GMC or Chevy truck I'd say, especially since not that many trucks of those year models are built compared to all the cars out there.
    Plus the rear suspension is built for whatever you want to throw at it if you have the right differential ratio, and a locker for getting things motivated.

      @@Sir.VicsMasher LOL, you mean one of those that you have to lean over to see around the corner to know there's no one in the lane.
      Truck wouldn't need cowl hood, unless you had one of those huge filters stuck on top of the throttle body, just one of the 80's type huge air cleaner housings, with couple 6" hoses run under the headlights cut into radiator support with screens attached to filter the bugs out.
      Old skool ram air is how it was done on Chevy trucks, GMC, just pull out the high beam headlights and go with hi/lo on outside bulbs.
      Redneck as, but works dam well.

    Nice build - looks like maybe a bit too much camshaft if it's going to be limited to 6k5? If the usual dummy build checking had included checking V2P clearances with the cam' swung 4-5 degrees, it may have been worth playing with it's timing a little, as 4-5⁰ either way can make a BIG difference, and may have filled the mid range even more while holding the top end?

      I'm planning something similar with my 73 k10. Shooting for a 598 based off a 502 block (unfortunately not as good as rod ratio std deck), MBE 18° heads, ported tunnel ram, very agressive (for bbc journal) solid roller, maybe something like the low shock drag race undecided, but on a tighter lobe separation than here, probably more rocker ratio. About 11.3 or so cr - gotta be able to pull a trailer up a long hill on 91, also probably add a little water meth for that. Wanna see north of 1000 hp with a lotta meat in the curve. Peak power rpm 7,200-7,500 and not go above 8,000 but hold on well (4.5 stroke but just scat crank, notta bryant or anything and okay rods not some dance 3k+ rods). "Budget" hope to keep it in the neighborhood of 15k but will probably cost more. Idk if I'm going 18° maybe I should spend the money on copper beryllium seats and xceldyne titanium valves and psi springs.
      Dyno software puts it at 1048 hp and 880 lb ft but it's old software. Can be close on # but usually off on rpm. Need to pick up pipemax newest, hear that's real good if you have all the inputs.

      @sc358. Рік тому

      @@caesar1295 well it's a long out project. Bought a running driving, fairly rusted body for 800 😆. It just has 44s, 350 and np205.
      But I think I'll go with dana 60 front (everyone wants a grip for them) and 14 bolt rear. TH400, gear vendors. Probably go with the offroad designs 7" custom springs and daystar air bag setup in the rear. Something like 37x14.50s. Would like to find a good wide tire that size that'll let me run just enough rim to run good brakes. Like the way 15s look but that limits brakes. Don't really like anything over 17 for a 37 (unless a 2wd hot rod then 18-22 can look good).
      I'd like to go with long travel coil over and have gear works build me trophy truck style axles (similar to ford 9" but more beefy 10", axles are like the size of a small red bull can, just a thing of beauty) but that's way outta my budget.

I e built both motors throughout the years and have been able to surpass 450HP to the tire with boost. I just did the trans in my 2018 Silverado, and I'll continue from there, Top End Kit, heads intake man, cams, and headers, programming and tuning and she'll be a fun driver. Prestige doesn't recommend revving extra long-stroke engines too high.

      @@TheHorsepowerMonster A lot of guys run 4.5-4.75 stroke engines to 7200+ but I understand your point. Perhaps a smaller camshaft would best fit the engine to make peak power at 6200?

    Both racegas and E85 wil eliminate detonation, so why would the E85 make so much more hp and torque? I wish that you'd displayed the actual #'s of the two fuels together as a comparison.
