余少能视鬼，尝于雪夜野寺逢一提傀儡翁，鹤发褴褛，唯持一木偶制作极精，宛如娇女，绘珠泪盈睫，惹人见怜。 时云彤雪狂，二人比肩向火，翁自述曰：少时好观牵丝戏，耽于盘铃傀儡之技，既年长，其志愈坚，遂以此为业，以物象人自得其乐。奈何漂泊终生，居无所行无侣，所伴唯一傀儡木偶。 翁且言且泣，余温言释之，恳其奏盘铃乐，作牵丝傀儡戏，演剧于三尺红绵之上，度曲咿嘤，木偶顾盼神飞，虽妆绘悲容而婉媚绝伦。曲终，翁抱持木偶，稍作欢容，俄顷恨怒，曰：平生落魄，皆傀儡误之，天寒，冬衣难置，一贫至此，不如焚。遂忿然投偶入火。吾止而未及，跌足叹惋。忽见火中木偶婉转而起，肃拜揖别，姿若生人，绘面泪痕宛然，一笑迸散，没于篝焰。 火至天明方熄。 翁顿悟，掩面嚎啕，曰：暖矣，孤矣。
【Background Story】
When I was young, I could see ghosts. On a snowy night, I met a dishevelled white-haired old man in an abandoned temple. In his hand was a beautiful string puppet with tears in her eyes, charming everyone who saw her.
It was snowing harder and harder outside. We sat by the fire, and the old man started telling his story, "I loved puppet shows when I was young and started learning the art of puppetry, making me more determined to pursue this path as I grew older, and so I did. Yet I ended up a wanderer, with no place to call home, and only this puppet as company."
As he spoke, he cried. I consoled him and asked if he would perform for me. On a small stage made up of red cloth, he started his show. The puppet came alive under his hands, looking absolutely beautiful despite the sorrowful countenance that was drawn on her face.
At the end of the performance, the old man held the puppet in his embrace, seeming to have calmed down. Yet he suddenly became angry.
"You are the reason I became thus, so poor I cannot even buy winter clothes in this cold weather. Since that is the case, I might as well have you destroyed!" So saying, he threw the puppet into the fire.
It happened so fast that I could not stop him in time. Standing by the fire, I sighed at the loss of the puppet, only to suddenly see the puppet rise gracefully in the midst of the fire, and sadly bow farewell to the old man, much like a living person. With a smile on her tearful face, she disappeared into the fire.
The fire burnt until the next morning. The old man came to his senses and buried his face in his hands, crying, "I was indeed warmed, but now I am truly alone!"

I'm still a little misunderstood on this story after seeing the PV for the song. The opera singer/puppeteer is the one that sings after that puppet. The puppet has feelings for this old man, (though in the PV, they're a literal child, or a life sized doll/is seen in the pv). The old man, when seen jeered from the older people, seems to be protecting the doll, and seems to cry at it. As if it were a real, person. Though not only that, the doll had a spirit of that resembled the child/person, who had a tearful smile at their caretaker. In the end, the old man, I presumed, killed himself to follow the spirit in the afterlife (In the PV), but in this one without the PV, the old man seemed to give up what it was dear to him, only to understand that he was truly alone.

@@bakemonowolf4419 Do not follow the pv. Its not official , just a recreation of the scenes from the background story. The song is sang by the spirit within the puppet, telling her version of the story from her pov and how she feels about the puppeteer.

The puppet is a representation of a person who love someone so much without any objections. He or she just follow and obey every command from his/her lover without considering that this love may bring disaster for one or both of them.
