Hey Gabrielle! It also took me quite a lot of practice to improve on getting to hip lock! I am actually editing one of the next upcoming ones, where I will share some drills and exercises to help working on this trick! Hope to share with you next week!
These vids are the best I’ve found! I love how you break everything down! I’ll admit, I’m having trouble at the 2nd move, I have a ways to go with conditioning, I think ❤️
Thank you Genevieve for your kind words! I am guessing is the pain from wrapping? You are right!!! Conditioning, conditioning, conditioning! Strong and beautiful legs for aerial, and health!
I am super super new to silks but just ordered a figure 8 to hang my silks up. Probably will share some basic basic tips that I will be working on too!
I loved this so much. I cannot find alot of ariel hammock dance videos and thid gave me a beatiful flow tank you. You are inspiring! I would love more videos and sequences.
Thank you Clara! You are right it is difficult to find good aerial dance videos, so I decided to make it even though I still have loads to improve. There are lots I have in the back so I am kind of prioritizing the release schedule based on feedback! Your feedback will definitely encourage me to speed things up on aerial dance side, as it is my main interest and should be the channel main focus. Hope it helps and look forward sharing to the next flow with you
Yess. Dont wait for feedback! I think people watch more than they comment! Your flow is amazing and dont wait anymore to show it! I would love videos cuz u know were all stuck at home. I liked the hip key pose, but i struggled with it. Can you do a tuturial on it specificially? Thank you! I reccomened u do a series of videos for these times, cuz there is literall y no ariel dance tutorials on utube, and everyone is stuck at home! Im sure it qould be fun and beneficial! I appreciate your efforts Enjoy! ❤️🌱
@@claradeeba4747 you are right! I have always wanted to make one just to focus on hip lock. It was challenging for me at the beginning too as you can see in my 1 year transformation video haah! I am going to share next week 1 on hip lock and another easy beginning flow to try! Stay safe and stay tuned.
Thank you for your kind comment! I will for sure keep sharing more flows and exercises =). I want to share that it is possible for anyone to get into Aerial arts without a background in circus. Feel free to share with friends who might be interested =)! Thanks again.
@@Priscilla21342 That's so awesome!! I am big on practicing basics and fundamental, over drops or complex tricks. I love all your videos. I have never done Hammock dance before but will try for the first time. Please keep doing it. I just ordered Aerial silk from your channel and can’t wait to start practicing.
You should start doing routines to popular songs that would be really cool to watch 🙂 maybe something like idk maybe some Disney songs for younger kids doing silks or anything you want
Woah so cool! I really want to try this but I don't think it's safe for me to do it at home and I don't know if there are any gyms or studios near me that have this. I have numerous mats at home for safety but nowhere to hang a silk for this. I'm an absolute beginner but I have dance and color guard background experience. This looks like a fun way to get even stronger! I would love to get my dancer abs back! I had them in 8th grade, but now as a sophomore, I kinda miss them after switching to a more arm-heavy sport. I can feel them, sure, but I like the external physical reminder of all my hard work! Love the way you break stuff down and wish I could try it myself!
thank you so much!! this is so fun and a good challenge for a beginner like me. thank you for inspiring me to start aerial, i got my first hammock yesterday and i love it!
oh FUN! So excited for you Audrey! Hope you had lessons before? Aerial is dangerous especially for beginners. I am looking forward to get back to training soon!

Happy you like it! I saw Cristina doing this flow on instagram couple days ago, it made me so happy to see it! I am still new to hoop but am excited to share the first basic tutoriall
Engage the legs more and practice practice practice! Give your body time to adjust as well. For instance the first practice just do it quick, dont stay in each position too long. Hope it helps!
My apartment is about 2.8M height, the hammock is 5M long! When you tie the knots, you will need to test it to see if the hammock is at the height you want. I usually put it around my waist, but sometimes higher or lower, depending on what I am working on. Hope this helps!
That means the legs need work! If i were you I would spend 10-20 minutes strengthen before getting on the hammock. If your legs hurt a lot, then I would spend more time strengthening the legs, you can try out the aerial fitness leg routine as well as the top10stretch routines also have a lot of strengthen exercises. Before you get on the hammock, imagine your legs are straight and strong - as much as possible. Keep a lot of energy throughout the legs to keep them straight. You will see a difference in a couple of practice!
Hello! Its hard to tell whether you are doing it right or wrong. Everyone has a different background and starting point. I was physically weak when I started so the beginning was hard and at times painful too. The stronger I get, the tougher my body is and the more free I feel! Have you tried taking at least a few lessons with a in-person instructor? Improving forms to get into right position helps, but also strengthening and keeping the muscles engage in certain position also help. Hope this helps!
aerialpractice thank you this helped so much. It still hurts but I think it’s just that I’m honestly scared of the pain and I just need to push through
Hi, what is the distance between each mount on your ceiling? I’m thinking to install but I’m confused as I have people telling me it’s 50cm, while some said to measure the length of your shoulder plus 5cm. Thanks.
Hi Catherine! I followed the instruction to do 50cm apart, but I think its really up to your personal preference. Now to think of it, i would have more space if the mount is farther apart, but then my fabric would be shorter.
aerialpractice Hello Eunice, thanks for your reply and perspective, you have been most helpful. I will do a comparison between those 2 measurements and come to a decision. Thanks again :)
I was just talking about plucking eyebrows with my boyfriend yesterday! While he says it hurts like hell, i dont feel a thing anymore. In aerial case, our bodies adopt quick by getting stronger!
Hello Macy, if you are new to aerial hammock then it might hurt a bit to have it wrapped around your legs, especially if the muscles aren't engaged. After a few practice, my legs got stronger and I forgot how much it used to hurt. hope this helps!
Hi Jaida, its not that tall. Just a standard apartment (I believe around 3m). I would love to have more space but hard to find a tall apartment with strong structure that can carry the load, so more low ceiling flow will be coming =)!
