The new super food which are being used in tablets, the saijan or moringa leaves, or the drum sticks. Never eat it in Guyana but now I love it, just got some fresh leaved from my super market in Canada and following the recipe but no shrimps.
Honestly speaking, I never knew that this even existed until I saw this video!!!! woow!! That definitely looks good! I see, u guys did the old school way with the coconut milk.....
This was really great and simple! My husband loves this and we just found some at the supermarket, so I'll make it for him. This was a great guide! Thank you again for another great recipe!
I grew some from the sprout of the eddo, the eddo bulb did not grow in this temperate region but the leaves look good. Thanks for the video. Ill try it.
I dont kn which last i eat that. My mouth is watering here looking at this video. I love to eat it with rice n lots of pepper n by hand. Who dont kn about this may want to kn what u guys r cooking (lol). Take care.
It looks very delicious. I never tried this dish nor saw anyone clean the eddoe leaves this way. I always thought that eddoe leaves will scratch my mouth lol. But then when I heard you said it's called taro also, then I lied I did tried it in sahina and yes it's very yummy.
Every poor family had this in Guyana sometime or the other Beauty, and it is delicious, I can remember we used to pick this in our yard in Guyana..Although this Eddoe leaf and the Tanya Leaf ( the one that scatches your mouth😖) looks alike and grows besides each other, we were good at distinguishing them in a split second. The Eddoe Leaf has a faint purple color at the tip of the stem just where it meets the leaf, whereas the Tanya does not, also the Tanya Leaf is a bit more elongated. This is only called Eddoe Leaf in Guyana, but in other countries it's called Taro.🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Growing taro now. Going to use it to make lau laus. Question. I thought you would need to cook it longer to get rid of the Acidic or classy grainy feeling you get when it’s not cooked too long. Was I wrong? Well apparently but I cook the lau laus for hours.
Yep ate this on a regular basis and ate eddoe leaf cook up too it is very delicious indeed.
Well all my life i growing up as a child i never saw it prepared like that the way how you stred it from the stem
