yes! I usually would use compression bags and put them IN them, but the ones I had were torn up so I had to deal with it this time! In my case I needed that extra room so I had to unzip!
@@thebucketlistvagabond I don't think you get it... The compression cubes need to be unzipped completely, then pack and THEN zipp them up firstly the cover up, then the ziplines along the packing cube to press out air and get compression to maximize space...
What a relatable and helpful video! I can totally relate to the frustration of scoring a cheap flight only to be hit with unexpected baggage fees. Your tips on packing a personal item efficiently are going to be a game-changer for so many travelers. I appreciate how you not only shared your personal packing techniques but also provided links to the items you mentioned in the video. It makes it much easier for viewers to find and purchase the products you recommend.
It isn’t an expander. The correct way to use compression cubes is to unzip them all the way to make the bag as big as possible. Then fill it, full. Then zip the compression zip to make the packing cube much smaller. It will significantly decrease the space the bags take up.
@@thebucketlistvagabond - You don’t use both - a compression bag OR seal saver - NOT BOTH. Put your clothes in the compression cube - then zip both zippers.
I used them on a recent trip the ones you hand roll and they worked great! I didn’t do laundry there so coming back I just used they for the dirty laundry with no issue. Got mine on Shein with no issues.
I enjoyed your video very much. I have become obsessed with packing in a small backpack and i can actually do it with room to spare. We don’t need nearly as much as we think we do. Thank you for such a well thought out video. I hope you had a great trip.
The compression cube and the space saver bags are not the same thing. You don’t put space saver bags in these type cubes. The cubes you have are not expandable. They are meant to be double zipped and it pushes the air out. You don’t need the space saver bags with these. There are packing cubes and compression cubes. You have compression cubes.
Ah thanks for sharing! With these specifically, when I compress them down they still allow air in so I personally like putting the compression bags inside them just to stay more organized as well! But that’s good to know about the difference, I need to get specific compression bags now!
Very nice but in winter not possible for me.. am asthmatic and need very warm things..and extra meds❤ do you inc a laptop? How much is weight and dimensions of your personal item as would it work for Wizz Norwegian Easyjet etc please as a personal item only.
Those zippers aren't for expansion, they are for compression. You pack it, and then zip down to further compress your items to maximize space.
Exactly what I came here to say

agreed, and even better if you use actual compression bags IN these cubes! just didn’t have them this time & needed that extra space!

Always wondered how the vacuum bags are used when packing to return home...
I love my packing cubes.

Thanks for the video.
Unfortunately, this type of packing only works in the U.S. - in Europe/Asia there are stricter weight restrictions - max 7 kg.
oh no! Yeah even some airlines here make it hard now a days!

Wonderful! This makes me happy to know it helped at least one person!
Where is your little grey sweater/cardigan from? So cute
Thank you! It is from target, but I bought it a while ago so it may not be there still!
What about all those liquids that are not in a 1 qt bag?
I love your hair!! is it natural or do you curl it that way? what products do you use? my hair is super curly but I can’t get it to hold.
Thank you so much! I use the SILK hair shampoo, conditioner and after shower silk! Its in a grey/white bottle and smells SO good!

@@thebucketlistvagabond I have the exact same ones and they are compression cubes.. if there's air in yours, they are broken
What happened with the airline rule rules of maximum 100 ml size liquids in a carry on?
Umm, 3-1-1 bag?
All those liquids will not be allowed in those big containers!!
Can we put flat irons/curling iron on personal item bag? Thanks
Yes! Take mine all the time with no questions asked
If you're flying, don't pack your jacket, carry it on, cause planes get cold. That frees up room in your suitcase or back pack
good call!

Can you give us the name of those crop tops again? Where to purchase? Thx. Very good video
They are called Albion Fit!:)
Do these discount airlines check the weight of your carry-on bag? Thanks :)
I know spirit airlines at least does not have a weight restriction
@@oliviakay98 Thanks!! 🤓
