I did 2.5 weeks in a personal item bag as well because of detergent! I used liquid but just decanted a bit into a little jar and did a few small sink loads at two different points at hotels. Let dry overnight and bam! Clean clothes again and no need to worry about checking anything or lugging around big bags. This was in winter, too, so long sleeves, full pants, heavy sweaters.
This was fantaaastic! I would LOVE to know where to buy some of the things you use; especially the crossbody shopping bag that zips. And the compression cubes... And... And... LOL. You picked good products!~ Thank you so much for sharing!!🥰
This was excellent 💜 I'm not much for taking the whole house with me either and after tons of videos I must say thank you 💜. I love the simplicity of minimalism and you nailed it!! 💜 Hope you had fun/will have fun?? I forgot to check how old this video is before commenting 😂
One thing I always travel with is a small amount of paracord and duct tape. Paracord helps when there’s nowhere to hang the clothes to dry, you can just tie each end to something and have somewhere to hang clothes. Duct tape, because I can patch up the bag if needed or shoes if hiking and is an emergency to fix them till you get another pair.
I'm chuckling at your "I'm a little extra" with your ONE item that's slightly fancy after fitting everything for 12 days into a backpack. I can't believe you are able to do this! Do you purchase souvenirs on your trips and just carry them separately back home? Or no souvenirs? Do you have a link for your tech pouch, by any chance? That is such a good size.

I'd love to see some links on wear to find those compact shopping bags. I've never seen a cross-body one, and that would be so much easier when on a bike or scooter. Cheers!
Really Basic but you dont need more :) I would also bring some travel medication, Massage Ball for tired feet, sleeping mask, pen and gaming cards. I am extra and I bring some minimalistic makeup, pen, travel hair dryer, Drybag, clothesline, Foot hammock for the airplane, extra cutlery and a portable door lock for safety :)
I love to see that you only take a few things with you. I've seen videos of people travelling for half the time and taking 3x as much. I travel with a 2 in 1 solid shampoo/soap bar that saves up a lotta space. Good job.
@@Emerald-u4m it’s called Duschbrocken, made in Germany, but there are many good brands out there. I like Lush too, for example. Look for zero waste brands in your country and you’ll find plenty 😊

I really enjoyed this video. Informative and funny too! I’m going to try to do a 28L backpack next trip and you make it seem possible! I want to be more minimalist (oxymoron?) And now I also know that insect repellent has a dual purpose haha

Ok so I'm obviously going to have to just start watching videos of ppl just doing personal item only travel. It's not my aim (for a variety of reasons, but mostly cos I tend to do long trips to colder climates) but I want to tighten my packing game and just 🙄 for the majority of carryon packing videos. What I'm trying to say is: this was very helpful. Thankyou Also I concur with everything you said about visiting Thailand (quite disgusted by all the young 20 somethings with their COMPLETELY culturally inappropriate wardrobes!). But do you have any tips for minimal severe cold packing?

Hi.. Dear in India we use bar soap for bath... And I take a new bar bath soap with good smell. Help me to wash my clothes and face wash help me for my bath. Even for 10days trip🎉
I wore a bra under my airport clothes and I also had my bathing suit top so I alternated the three and washed them at night with my shirts and underwear.
I use the small ones by Native brand. They are solid. I prefer solid deodorant and they don’t sell it in Thailand so I’m usually carrying a couple just in case I lose one.
Hotels in the countries I visit provide water bottles in the rooms. If I bring my own it’s just one more thing to track. I do recycle everywhere I go because it’s just a good thing to do.

The little book with all your travel addresses and info is genius! I aspire to pack like this but I need a few more clothes (pj's) and toiletries lol
Sometimes it is best not to compress the cube then it is easier to squash down in the bag

I buy mine on Amazon too. Can buy in bulk - I use for all my laundry at home too cos hardly takes up any room compared to laundry powder or liquid 🤗
