Learn don’t repeat. I love you informative well articulated videos. You’re an asset to everyone in the industry including those looking to get started.
Wow this was informative. I do cleaning and sealing of brick and concrete so pressure washing is a small portion of my business. I have learned so much about the washing stage of what I do that my overall jobs are turning out better and now I can’t keep up with the work demand. These 3 mistakes will kill any business trust me I struggle with the first one
I’m at the point now that I’m feeling severely overwhelmed and like I shouldn’t have started this business. It’s great to hear this is normal in the beginning and I’ll get passed it
It beats working for someone else though. I started out just working weekends, then weekends and nights to keep up, now everyday. I am getting really good at amrketing too, so I am at the point i need to start putting on more trucks. Its just hard to find good reliable help. I hope you have luck.
Your information is so informative. I appreciate the knowledge. I am a new pressure wash business owner. I asked myself a lot of these same questions. I'm grateful to have somebody on this platform that feeds good information
Great vid! My name is Rudelle Smithen with Smithen Enterprise Auto detailing & Pressure Washing! I love the content and the education behind it. There will always be more work than workers and sometimes not everything is for every business. I am based out of central fl ( Ocala ) I seem to learn by example which has got me this far, but there are somethings I have to deal with promptly to continue in what I do and I can thank you and many other UA-camrs for the education! 👍🏾
I did a big 1800 SQ ft paver job and put the wrong sand in had to go back and make up the difference cost me only a little $ but ultimately My time cleaning it out. Needless to say I admitted my mistake to the client and they understood and backed me and correcting the mistake. All that to say the job turned out to be wonderful and it was a great learning opportunity.
Good evening sir I’m thinking about starting my own pressure washing company as a side job what equipment do do you recommend me I’m getting to get started
If I'm just starting out, what is the least expensive SH & Surfactant I can use, that works decent? We can always upgrade but we're starting with a tight budget.
+R.A.M. Productions bleach is bleach - cost is based on % of sh and the higher the concentration the higher cost but the higher the concentration the more Effective as well. As far as a Surfactant, we only use that when we are doing roofs, we do not use that for house washing. The Surfactant of choice for us is southern drawl from SoutheastSoftwash.
Does your course talking about epa issues we could run into with ground water release. I am at the scare stage of spending 3k in basic equipment for soft wash and pressure. and we are still a week away of starting operations
pre wet post rinse preferably before dry dont spray SH near ponds onto copper roofs into door locks all fixtures or outlets.Keep black top driveways wet or they WILL streak. Be careful of near by cars or trucks especially rag tops..watch your pressure on decks and around windows ect..common sense is a huge part of this buisness..be careful!!!
Learn! Don't repeat! I do have a question for anyone willing to answer though. Could you guys recommend any insurance companies that I should check out? I'm just starting out and any help would be greatly appreciated, TYIA
Hiscox is who we run our landscape company through I called them because it's 97.00 a month for 2 million in liability. They referred me to another company I forget the name but it's there sister company 96 a month 2 million in coverage
Hi I I liked your real world video I have been in the softwash powerwash business for 17 years You are correct on customer relations showing up on time ,calling before and after the job We live in maine and have a great deal of summer homes o the beaches and I found a woman on the job worked well and puts the customers at ease .any thing you can do to have the customer remember you is money in your pocket Good luck Brian Brian’s Powerwashing l l c
If you are a teen starting your own soft Washing business how would you get phone calls during school or should you hire a call company to do that, or what do you think I should do I need your device.
+Carlos Lewis you have a cell phone - - set up a clear professional recording on your voicemail and get back to them as soon as you can. School is the priority!
Learn don’t repeat. I am brand new to power washing Just learning about different tips and gpm and surfactant… Got paid $1,200 first job Clean pavers I used a John Deere pressure washer 3200psi with a Ryobi surface cleaner Used simple green as my chemicals and the ryobi foam attachment. I also had to Re-sand the pavers $20 sand $17 Portland cement $90 3bags of polymeric sand $204 two guys labor. Total $331 labor and materials $869 profit
Great video! Mike, I noticed in a couple of your clips it looked like you had the front doors covered with a material. I was wondering what it is you guys use? Do you just take regular plastic and place over the door and then shut it, or do you use a type of temporary stick on material?
Hey there, we use polyfilm, the same stuff painters use. If we have access, we will definitely drape it over the door, but we will also use painters tape to secure it..
That's awesome, have you already got it? Let me know what you think. I would like to get you on the channel to talk about it once you have completed it.
So no one can work as a freelancer in this business? That wouldn’t make any sense, say someone has a full time job and wants to do 2 driveways a weekend and they get by knocking on doors, that’s not possible without an LLC?
Hire people who are addicted to the work. Pressure washing is my addiction. It's my addiction and I don't own my business yet, I'm still in the deep research of the business side... My week side. I'm the worker bee... Not great at the business end of my other business. I'm too much of a push over with my employees. I would like quotes examples on videos. Nobody talks about prices. A fast food building, say taco bell sizes are all about the same, how much to do the building, sidewalks, dumpster/grease area? Approximately. Thank you kindly for the videos. I'm studying everything.
I wish I could find people addicted to work and reliable lol. I got the marketing, pricing, equipment, etc down. Its just the whole finding quality team members. TEAM LEADERS.

Hey should I purchase an LLC for my pressure washing gutter snow and land business? How do I advertise?
1. Not reinventing money back into your business
2. Never ignore customers, don’t ignore current customers
3. Hire B players, hire the right folks
