140k does not mean he profited that amount. Hiring people for labor and subbing out other companies for sure ate away at a lot of the bag. Don’t forget chemicals, gas, equipment such as tips for the gun either breaking or getting lost. A whole month of paying workers isn’t cheep. He definitely did well but keep in mind that he definitely did not bring home 140k in profit.
@@greatest599 i was about to say 70K but then I was reading thru the comments and saw yours. regardless tho.. he sure made a killing from that 1 job alone.
Nobody said I made $140,000. That's what the quote was for. If you've ever watched my channel, you know all about overhead, costs and how to quote accordingly. But thanks for watching
Army, truly inspiring stuff on this channel, i drive a 4 door sedan but I purchased a hitch to tote a pressure washer so I can get my foot in the door. Fingers crossed!
We don’t touch government jobs anymore. It’s nothing but a race to the bottom. There are always desperate contractors willing to bid next to nothing to win the job. Every. Time. I couldn’t care less about that end figure. When we account for the opportunity cost of losing other jobs (residential/commercial) that we’d otherwise be doing, we’ll pick the later every time.
Yep....same thing I tell people in lawn care. A race to the bottom, which is why I don't price match. There's always some neighborhood kid with his dad's lawnmower and zero overhead.

All these pressure washing guys making courses to create more saturation of the business doesn't make sense to me. Promoting a 6 figure course will bring all kinds of people. And no, I'm not afraid of competition... I'm only confused at the fact someone who's making 6 figures at his/ her business is worried about making videos or courses to get more people into it. My concern is my business, not becoming a UA-camr. It's like selling out to UA-cam.
Not a lot of Army posts :) I'm slammed and I charge a lot. Another company next door to me is hiring 8 more guys this year, they're turning down jobs until they get more techs. Far from peaked ;)
Okay but when you say presentation is key some of us middle class that are actually just starting a business can’t afford a 40-80k truck and then 20k on supplies and whatever you need for “great presentation” I’m 21 starting a pressure washing business and don’t have but a beat up Dodge Ram and a trailer and a pressure cause 1 I don’t need mommy and daddy’s help and 2 cause best way to succeed is yourself and yourself only
In terms of profit he probably only made about 10-20k for himself, That's not even hating more than I've ever made off one job. Just having to sub it out and do it in a month would eat so much profit.
Iv watched a ton these videos and they are great wealth of knowledge and I'm planning on buying the course, however they also say alot in these videos without saying anything.. Lol. I quess that's why you but the course.. Lol. I don't really watch these anymore cause alot it's vague. Just buy the course and get what your really looking for. That said, basic info and or ideas on getting started these vids are awesome.
I moved my business from Pa to Arizona and not gonna lie I’m having a very hard time to get a job kinda pissed at myself. Been out passing flyers cards door hangers yard sings Facebook posts nothing. If anyone can help me out I’d appreciate it.
I’m here in Glendale, AZ. You’re going to have a rough time getting residential jobs because due to our weather, there’s a massive lack of need, when I’ve talked to neighbors/home owners about pressure washing in general, they didn’t know you could hire a pressure washing company at all. You’ll need to get your LLC and register you DBA (blahblah LLC.), EIN (if don’t have one). Get local phone number for your cell with a local area code, unique logo and cards/flyers and make sure you can give instant estimates (digital best). Lastly, if grass roots marketing isn’t working with direct business owners or properly management, find a contractor or commercial leasing companies with pressure washing needs or can refer. The work is there, just be strategic.
@ForeverSelfEmployed ARMY thank you for the awesome video I’m feeling more comfortable is making this business boom but one last question how do I do my full time job and still do power washing I live in MICHIGAN
You dont its one of the risks of running a business. Very few business survive that dont go full time. You have to know when is the right time to pull the plug on the 9-5 or whatever it is. You will know because the work flow for the business will nlt let you have a job outside of your business.
The Military puts contractors into different tiers based on how they do. As you do a job, if you are considered a tier 4 company it sometimes is better to take a loss on a job as you will continue to get large contracts with them. I oversaw a 8 month project while I was in and the lead contractor was taking a loss on the job because of some of the things that needed to be done, but did it as he will get more jobs down the road where he will be able to make a lot more money in the end. Served at Fort Stewart for my first 3 years in the Army. Retired and happy to have served for 20 years. Best of luck to everyone who is a contractor in the future endeavors.
