- After finding out about this bothy I really wanted to spend the night, the place really interested my girlfriend nichola so she asked to come with me. We hiked up on a warm and muggy day and spent the night at the bothy, great time at an amazing place. Hope you all enjoy

Wow Tim ! I would say that was the best vid you have done so far mate ! Beautiful content and superb editing 👍 . A delight to watch and very interesting to see the bothy inside . Well done both of you ☺️.
Er....... I do have an issue tho 🤨 . You omitted your trademark " Hi folks , Tim Robson here ." . And it is simply not good enough Tim !! ☹️. You ALWAYS say " Tim Robson here " and me and the missus look forward to it ! Yes , I realise that may sound a bit sad . But it makes us smile so it can't be bad 😁 . So ...... next vid ..... " Tim Robson here " please . Keep em coming Tim , very enjoyable they are mate 😉☺️👍🍻.
Thank you so much for your awesome comment, made me smile. So glad you enjoyed the video and my deepest apology for missing my “trademark” intro 😂 I had no idea it was such a big part of my identity and that people need that intro, I will endeavour to never miss it again. All the best to you and your missus
Great to see you out and about again. Thanks for sharing this video, it's quality! Beautiful setting too 👍
I’m glad you thought it was quality I had a great time out making it. All the best
Thank you for sharing your walk out and stay in the Greensykes Bothy. Nice to see your girlfriend out enjoying the stay with you.
All the best from Folkestone, Kent.
And looking forward to seeing the next adventure.
And thank you for the nice comment. This was Nicholas first bothy visit and her first decent hike out with me and she really enjoyed it. All the best to you until next time.
'It's the life for sure Tim. What a location for a Bothy - that forest is huge. I loved that stone seat - I imagine that was built by the former house owners. They left us a great place eh? It was full of useful things and some supplies. I t ake it you had a great nights rest - certainly the morning was beautiful. Well, awesome time out. All the best up there. Mark
Imagine what a place it would have been to live back in the day. That is the beginning of one of the biggest forests we have here in the Uk it stretches all the way at up towards Edinburgh, hundreds of miles of tracks and places to explore. I had the same thought about the stone bench it looks as old as the place itself, they definitely left an amazing place behind and I’m so pleased the mountain bothy association have got their hands on it. Thanks for the comment mark and all the best to you
@@TimRobson30 Ah, it would have been tough and glorious at the same time. Yes, after your video I was on google. I've seen Keilder before but I wanted a sense of it. Massive and I began to google national trails and trails through it. Can you recommend any long ones? I agree, great the Bothy Association have opened this one up to people. A pleasure. Take care.
@WyeExplorer tough and glorious I like that, my idea of heaven hahah. Well all I can say to you about longer trails is the treck that the other man staying in the bothy was walking. Greensykes to Moffat, it’s 23 miles. I don’t know where your starting point could be maybe Langholm to greensykes as a warm up day, stay at the bothy and then walk to Moffat but it looks way longer than I would manage and through some rough stuff. All the best
@@TimRobson30 Yeah, heaven indeed. I would love to hike through that entire forest one day. It sounds like it's going to take some working our for me - I use buses. Well, thanks for ideas. Have a good day.
@@WyeExplorer bus to Carlisle then to Langholm. On your way back get a bus from Moffat to lockerbie and then lockerbie to Langholm again
Pleased to see you out and about again Tim . Beautiful scenery.ATB Gail from Worcester Massachusetts 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Your girlfriend looks very kind.take her every time.❤ Take care the both of youns.
She is very kind we have been together 15 years now and I’m very lucky. Thank you for the comment and all the best
Quite a nice, but austere bothy. It's probably just my opinion - but I think a red carpet would make it a bit more cosy!
Hahaha a red carpet on arrival. It’s a really nice place I just wish we could get it to ourselves one time it’s so busy. Thanks for the comment and all the best
Yeaaahhh I love bothy videos
I’m glad you do because I love making them, always enjoyed visiting such awesome places. All the best

You will so have to do a winter hike to here again Tim
That is definitely on the to do list it would be amazing up there amongst the snow and ice. All the best
no skinny dipping then mate lol
The stream was way to shallow for me to fit in there hahaha dipping my feet was good enough. All the best
THE DOG. Does He / She not have a name ?
Hi thanks for your comment. He is called jack, he is a rescue. Best dog I have had. All the best
My phone is a piece of work 😔 God bless.
Technology really is a pest sometimes. All the best
Since when has sleeping in a house been called camping?
It’s not a house it’s a bothy in the middle of nowhere with no power or running water. A bothy camp is a bothy camp
Where did you park for this trip??
Thanks
We got dropped off and picked up at the carpark in Jamestown just over the bridge, it’s about 2.5 miles to walk from there very easy to find. All the best
@@TimRobson30 Thanks for replying 👍
Do you know if u can park there overnight??
@@dazzeerascalftm it’s in the middle of nowhere and I doubt anyone would say anything, there are no notices to tell you not to and no parking metre or anything like that. It’s a very popular place and gets a lot of visitors so I imagine the locals are very sued to the off car parked there
@TimRobson30 Okay, thanks mate 👍
