- We wanted to camp for new year but the weather was terrible so I thought we would try a bothy. Having never stayed in a bothy before we didn't know what to expect so we headed to Penrhos Isaf in Wales.
Let us know in the comments if you have ever stayed in a bothy before and do you have a favourite?
We met some lovely people on our stay, thanks for the bacon and bothy advice.
I really did enjoy that one Gaz. The slow mooch up the slope and though the wood was as good as the Bothy. Remember Black Adder, 'a nugget of pure green my lord.' Ha ha! Re--the bothy that is possibly the most enchanting one I've seem. The forest definitely makes it. A great might had by all - what a way to bring in the new year. Well, good going. All the very best. Glad you enjoyed it we had loads of fun and it was great to spend the new year meeting like minded people. You should definitely check it out when you get a chance it's a beautiful place. Thanks for the kind words.
@@outdoorgaz5 Yeah, it was good. I agree always a pleasure to hook up with kindred spirits. I've already been checking the map out. A pleasure-take care.
Hi
I am one of the "lovely girls" who you shared New Year with!
Was a pleasure meeting you all, and yes you are still 100% invited to join us at our favourite bothy in The Lakes!
Ive given you a like/follow so hopefully see your next adventure.
I'll also share this with The Tash's and Emma too 😊
Hi Hannah, glad you found the video we loved meeting you all. Thanks for teaching us some bothy hacks. What was the name of that one in the lakes again?

Its Mosdale Bothy. A lovely, not so small, Bothy near Shap
Precioso paraje y bien húmedo, je,je,je.
Feliz año nuevo.

I'll check out your other vids.👍
Glad you enjoyed it. For my first bothy stay I think we chose the right one. Hope you enjoy some of my other adventures.
Sadly I missed this one but I'll catch it next time.

@@outdoorgaz5 my pleasure you have a lovely channel debs xx
Hi cud eny one tell me where this is thank you so much
Did you bring your own wood?
Yeah we brought wood but there was some already there. We left almost a whole bag there.
No way
Why not?
@@outdoorgaz5 too unfriendly
Bothy is lonely unsafe and desolale
I think it would feel like that on your own but in a group it feels quite cosy.
do you have the route you took at all with parking? would love to do this soon
We parked at Tyn Y Groes Car Park. There are plenty of routes to the bothy from there and only about 30 minutes to 1hr walk. I wouldn't recommend the route we took as we found a much easier gravel track on the way back. Hope you enjoy your stay. Thanks for watching
