I kinda understand the hate, but not everyone is living in the backwoods needing a survival knife, lets be honest. Some of us, me included, just need a utility blade for packages and the like. Price wise I get it, but to each thier own. Used and abused Milwaukee fastback, now to throw some money at the fancy fidgets 😅
Finally, a Reate I can afford. But i really like those Elementum and their price too.
Love the EXO-U, will be buying a couple!
Just got my black exo u, super dope!
Yellow looks great
Just got the Civivi in green from you guys. Love it. Very comfortable in the hand, easy to deploy, get to use the whole blade! My first Civivi knife!
Nice! Hope you like your Civivi as much as we like ours 👍
tell us how you like to have to remove and replace a screw to change the blade. that is a design deal breaker for me... I understand it but don't want it... better designs abound...
@ttattx I won't need to change the blade often enough to care, probably to be honest, but a thumb screw like on the Olight model would be better. Forget the name of it.. it is like $25...
The screw only needs to be loosened 1-2 turns to change blade, so it's not that bad @ttattx
Milwaukee has a button lock flipper as well! And a blade quick release!
And deep pocket carry
Love my Civivi utility and just picked up a silver Exo-U, as I couldn't resist. Can't wait to see it in hand. Also you only need to loosen the screw a couple times not completely remove it to change blades.
Black is my choice, Reate!
without a doubt i need one of these
Fun and fidgety while helping out at work!
I still prefer my old Gerber Prybrid from 5 years ago. Does everything i need....and more.
More practical and affordable
Awesome thanks
Thanks for watching!
I have the purple reate exo u and I love it. My only complaint is as a lefty, I wish there was a lock on both sides. I have to use my index figure.
Thanks for weighing in as a lefty on these
I got the elementum. It’s a very smooth knife! If it had a tool-free blade change, my TiRant would have something to worry about.
Not sure why people knock on this. I just got a reate EXO-U. Amazing for opening packages. Literally what i use it for at work. If i need to do more than i have other knives.
I dont see the Exceed Designs TiRant V3 on the table. You guys are SLACKIN! its easily better than both of these.
Be careful using that Reate Exo-U. The blade pops out super easy with very little pressure while cutting. I believe it's due to the butterfly clip that holds it in place. Has anyone here ever experienced this issue? It happened to me twice yesterday while using it.
I've been using mine for cutting tons of boxes and re-purposing plastic bottles without any problems.
Are these gravity utility knives considered the same as a restricted gravity knife?
What's the thought between the diamond pattern versus speed hole scales? Any real practical difference either way? Or, just a preference thing? Thanks in advance.
Preference and texture
Can they cut and peel an apple? If not I stick to a regular knife.
Are they easy to sharpen?
Also really need to see more designs with mass production of different blade styles (seen one knife like that.)
Also a slip joint version, both modern and traditional.
The modern one with a choil would be really nice for areas with crappy laws.
To. To sharpen? They’re replaceable utility blades.
@@The_RC_Guru I know but some times it’s a waste of materials.
@@kylethedalek i imagine they’re easy to sharpen with stones. I’ve stropped new ones a couple times for my pocket folding one. But I don’t think many folks sharpen them they’re so cheap.
Take a look at the razorgen2 by surge panchenco. It's a slip joint utility blade holders made of g10 and TI. Perfect for UK edc imo comes in at around 150 quid
As an older guy I've been carrying a utility knife for longer than I've been carrying a cell phone. That being said, they didn't make them like these when i was a kid
These knives will have a place and time for a certain customer base, I do appreciate that. I am not in that ballpark. Lazy knives 😊 Still, informative video for the earlier mentioned customer base.
Thanks for watching
When scoring sheet rock, cutting plastic straps, and trimming tyvex on the job site becomes boujee.
A cardboard cutter is just that
A knife is for the real world chores
Got my reate today but don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining. No one is running utility knives for EDC. I will however.
Milwaukee fastback. Because at the end of the day it’s not worth 77 bucks to hold a .50 cent blade
👍🍻
I thought the exou was suposed to be like 45. Not 75!!!
I have a craftsman does that count 😂
Means you were cool before it was cool
Go bills
Utility knives are the new edc?😂not for this old southern country boy! 😂
Agreed. I keep a Milwaukee Fastback in my truck, one in my shop tool box and one in the garage. I keep a real knife in pocket. And the blade change in the Fast back is push a bottom, swap blade. Having to have a torx driver for a utility knife is for a kid that wants a toy…not a man that needs a tool. Everything is marketing these days.
That should say push button, swap blade. Can’t freaking edit YT comments anymore without logging in to the app😡
I have a feeling these are more for the EDC crowd that have well moisturized hands that’s never turned a wrench 😂
There is a Milwaukee Fastback as small as a pocketknife. Carry that and a folder is what I do.
That's because the new generation is too lazy to learn how to sharpen a real knife.
I find this trend ridiculous and funny...
Different knives for different folks, thanks for watching
Utility blades are the new EDC? 😂 looks like they just found new ways to make utility blades uglier, more expensive and overly complicated. I mean I keep one in my work truck and there’s one in a kitchen drawer but I think I’ll stick to my Bark River, Buck or Esee for carrying.
Sorry - not going to buy utility knives from premium knife dealers. I bought 2 for 1 Husky brand utility knives for $15 at Home Depot.
China = no, utility blades = no for me and in my humble opinion.
Nooo 25$ OTᗩᑕᒪᗴ ᑌI 110% 👍👍👍 ᗷᗴՏT
