The safest blade quickswap utility blade on the market is the tpt slide, the reate one does have a spring holding it in which adds another part to take the blade out where the tpt slide doesn’t. I’ve played with about 20 of these at work to ses tolerances, they’re cool

Tpt slide is Chinese garbage. Best on the market is the Rexford R.U.T. And 2nd best is exceed designs Tirant razor M mag lock 3.0 both made in USA. Big idea design blows

I wouldnt mind picking up a gravity knife. Either the Remette or this one and I like the idea of having a utility knife. Looks great!

I just got to play with one of these like 10 minutes ago. It’s well made and neat but kinda silly and not for me. Def fun to play with.

You can bring knives you just have to keep them in a checked bag

An interesting utility knife. I wouldn’t mind getting one as a gift but my utility knives were bought at Home Depot - folding/locking, no tools needed to swap blades and got 2 for under $20. Would you really use that Reate EXO-U to cut sheet rock?

Please update on that blade holding mechanism it looks a little weak or loose in the video. Otherwise that’s a cool design and the lock might make it legal. I think that way because technically a Button lock would also be considered a gravity knife. Which would start excluding a bunch of knifes in gravity knife states.

I've tested mine hard use. That looseness isn't any concern. I tried to twist the blade out of cardboard. I didn't want to break the blade but I'm certain it would snap before the holder gave out. Any slop in the holder to handle goes away when you grip it.

Definitely hit up Reate. Hopefully they will take care of you. Everyone says they’re great and it’s sounds like a production issue. I have had good success with exceed design

I hate that they used magnets. Becasue they are held in with epoxy. And that blade is hardly secure. Not the wiggle. But how easily yoy could remove the spring. The tension isn't enough on the spring.
