I'm 55 my multi personal transportation device guru. I'm quick but logical. Don't need gear just lines. When I get back to Cali we will ride them all. Wonderful family I have. Peace.
Hey buddy, home u accepted my apology? Anyway, what do u think now, I know the popularity of these things are growing. Already taught two others how to ride eucs. They've been here at least 5 years and I still think it'll follow the history of the segway.I pass skate boarders all the time and I thought they'd jump ship. Nope. Lmk what u think. I really did like helping other learn, but we really don't need more stupid laws preventing responsible riders their freedoms. Sorrow about San Diego, but in NYC. No rules for us yet.........
I did a bunch of research on both before I bought something. I'm not fortunate enough to be able to own both, so I wanted to make sure I would be happy. I ended up with an EUC. First reason, range. It's a big world, and I love to explore, and the EUC gives me a ton of range. Second, speed is fun! I can easily cruise at 30 mph on the EUC and I can get to work on it almost as fast as I can on my motorcycle. Third. I'm a skier. Cruising and carving on an EUC is so much like skiing, and since I live in a country where it never snows, it feeds that need. Fourth, as much as people think you look cooler on a OW, people constantly stop me to ask about the EUC or give thumbs up. After almost 1000km I'm very happy with what I got.
You made a fantastic choice! People are fascinated by both and I will say that I get more comments about how amazing my Nikola is than the Onewheel. People usually ask if I made the Onewheel. 😂
Thanks Jimmy! As the owner of both, I totally agree with you. I take whatever I feel like that day and that's a luxury that most people don't have and yes I feel a bit guilty for having such fun @ a time like this. But, the way I think of it, we all have responsibility to take care of our own and this is the way I take care of mine. With that said, I just want to say to all the onewheelers out there to be careful these days when you are out. Some people in my area are just pissed off and just seem ready to cause trouble no matter what. It's hard to avoid these people when you are on a onewheel crossing their path. I almost got into an altercation with one and it just ruins the whole day....not worth it. Just avoid these people when you cross them. They are at the lowest point of their lives and really, it's very heartbreaking to see them suffer but when they start to take it out on you, just draw the line and let them sort it out on their own. I think it's important to be enthusiastic about your hobbies at a time like this but also need to be aware of the situation around. That's all.
I must admit that since I’ve gotten the hang of the EUC, my Onewheel has been dormant. The feeling of skiing 30mph triumphs over the slower Onewheel. But like Jimmy said, the Onewheel was my intro into electric vehicles, so I‘ll work to get back on it.
EUC= having a blast on an absolutely dynamic wheel that hauls ass and has tons of capability. Onewheel = putting around on a boring skateboard that feels like you're rolling around on a granite boulder. Capable of not doing very much. And knowing in the back of your mind that you're completely missing out
I went dirtbiking today on a really rocky forest service road. A buddy brought his electric unicycle, and he was able to follow me the entire way up very rocky terrain which Jeeps and vehicles were slowly crawling over. The electric unicycle with suspension will let you explore so much more rough terrain than a onewheel. What we did today would not have been possible on a onewheel
Onewheel is very versatile. I ride mine along the beach, to another beach to surf. Can’t do that on a EUC. But the EUC can easily haul ass, safely, and play music, and be easily wheeled alongside you. Would be better to grocery shop with. Both are great. Just depends what you need.
If an EUC company decided to make a Onewheel, first the Bluetooth would work great, second it would go farther, third it would have speakers,... It would go faster, it would beep or tell you to slow down if you went too fast, it would have better, brighter more color lights, have real fast charger, charging ports for your devices, and on and on... and be worth every penny. PS I ride/own electric skateboards, Onewheels, and EUCs, then I ran out of money for an electric mtb or Telsa!
Another enjoyable, well-made video. I noticed right away that the script had more effort behind it. I am getting closer to getting an EUC every I watch that you cover it. I'm also inspired to try actually writing a script for one of my videos, so thanks!
Don't waste time comparing, I currently only have an electric scooter but love one wheel and euc videos that are well done. I want to support all electric vehicles against the real enemy, combustion gas fueled engines! It frustrates me to see this kind of division because divided we are easier to conquer, silence and discount. Same goes for traditional bike riders, skateboarders and walk/runners poopooing on electric vehicles. I believe the goal should be to reduce emissions and environmental impact as much as we can and with that goal in mind we non-emissioners need to stick together. Oh and Jim great video as always.
Be patient with future EUC owners. They're at a rough time in their life. Range Anxiety, Speed Depression. You got guys out there counting half MPHs as an achievement. WE SHOULDNT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THAT. Think of the kids.
Judging from far.... Does everyone els think the EUC looks ridiculousy stupid from far? I saw one 1 month ago and the poor guy looked so stupid with both legs. The onewheel looks more futuristic and more comfortable to ride. I would say I am very jealous of the ammount of different models EUC, price, speed and range is much better than the onewheel!
I don't know. I get way more compliments and wows on the EUC than on my OW. Most of my OW comments are, "did you make that?" That said, the OW has a huge amount of upside since the specs in terms of speed, range, and safety are so primitive. I just wish FM would do a refresh on the 2+ year old XR which is old tech, but still costs the same as the day it was released.
Chewbacca yup! My thoughts as well. Ive seem some awkward interactions with dudes on the euc because they don’t seem to be able to stop or turn nearly as quick. In the big city...the OW reigns
I've been researching OW and EUC and I'm so glad I've found this channel. The videos have been very helpful, especially this one. I think it's the sense of speed and freedom that I'm after which makes me lean towards the EUC, but vast number of models have been a little overwhelming.
I ride a Pint for grocery runs and an MSX for owning the streets. If Future Motion built a board with the power of an EUC, I'd jump at the chance to feel like Silver Surfer.
You hit it on the head. Still a ton of upside for the Onewheel as the tech is relatively ancient. If they upgraded it to modern specs, it could be amazing!
Woo Hoo! I just made the century club on my XR yesterday. I live on a dirt road so like 85-90 in dirt and my dog was with me for about 70. Looking forward to having this forever, going everywhere with me. Truely a fun way to bug out and see the world
I think it's clear that the OW is the cooler ride, and more fun. I also think it's obvious that having no competition has hurt the board and the buyers. So I completely understand why folks hate on it. They're just hating on FM, rightfully so occasionally.
Cory Boehne yea, they’re kinda bastards, they will get their comeuppance if they dont get better quick. They underestimate the Chinese manufacturers. Would not even be surprised if Tesla just decides to fuck them and make one..
Perfect comparison, I rode a ONEWHEEL for approximately 4 months last year before it racked my knee. I would still ride one if they want to give me ONE. Cause if I am buying it will be an electric unicycle and it will have a suspense system. I have been riding a INMOTION V8 for the last 6 or 7 months ONEWHEEL is a very fun dangerous toy and EUC's are a very cool and very efficient ,very reliable vehicles . Ride on
i attempted to ride an euc for a whole month trying to get it down but just couldn’t figure it out 🙁 but then a couple weeks later i saw my neighbor had a onewheel and i tried it and leaned in minutes so now I have a onewheel but I might still try the euc again some day
Great video Jimmy! I love my onewheels to death, but have been thinking of an EUC to use as my new primary mode of transportation once I move out of the city. It seems like a much more practical machine, although I personally don’t see myself having as much fun on it, keep up the good work :)
Euc is more fun, there are so many wheels i can choose.the new suspension wheels are coming soon. You can ride seat it as well. Ow is ok, off road is fun
I bought the One Wheel because I’m a fan of board sports. It was either a Onewheel or a boosted board. But after 1400 miles and nearly a year later, I’ve had my first serious injury. I had an open compound fracture in my wrist during a group ride. A month later, getting back into riding and having discussions about it, I feel as though the one wheel (I ride a GT) may not be the safest choice. Would you comment or perhaps make a video discussing safety pros and cons between One Wheel‘s and EUC‘s? While I’m a fan of board sports, I’m also a bigger fan of riding safe, and regardless of board sports or not. I love riding in general.
Great video as always. I too love both the Onewheel and the EUC. I ride primarily EUC now for range and speed but both are extremely fun ways to get around. I agree for short jaunts the Onewheel rules. Keep up the great content.
Thanks Jimmy! There is no point in comparing as the best PEV is whatever you want to ride. My preferred PEV is a power scooter but I know for many it is an EUC, Onewheel, e-skateboard or e-bike. They are all great. By the way, my Armored Hoodie should be here tomorrow. I also decided to upgrade my protection and picked some nice motorcycle gloves in case I ever crash on my power scooter. Float on!
Great to hear from you Robert! I just finished a ride with my wife... on SCOOTERS! Turbowheel Swift & E-Twow GT... lots of fun but impossible to film while riding! 😂
@@freshlycharged Great! Did you buy them? I know both scooters very well. I own the predecessor to the GT as one of my first scooters from back in 2014. I also own a Speedway Mini-IV I purchased from Singapore which is a cousin to the Turbowheel. Both are great portable 25MPH-ish capable scooters. I use a helmet mounted GoPro or chest mounted GoPro for filming while scooting. Even mounted on the helm or chest your voice gets picked up well by the GoPro.
Hey Jimmy! I wanted to ask you since you have much experience with the many batteries in these devices. Is it bad to charge your One Wheel Pint to 100%? I have seen some people claim you should rarely top the battery off, and that you should not leave it sitting with a full battery. Is this true? Also how is the battery doing on your Pint? What are your charging Habits? As always love the videos and I hope to hear back from you soon!
I really wonder why anyone dislikes this video SMH all of your videos are great so keep putting out this information for me because I'm buying both of them LOL
If you wanted to learn to ride a one wheel or EUC from your house to a local Starbucks...ya the OW would take you like 15 minutes to pickup. The EUC would take hours to days. But when you take the advanced One wheelers versus the advanced EUC riders. both have skills that are equivalently difficult to learn on both platforms .
I think all thies new electronic rides . Are awesome. I personally like the skate board because that's what I know . But I'm about to do a group ride with some eucs and one wheels. Praying for just a smooth fun ride no drama.
Man I’ve been in an internal debate with myself about getting a one wheel, it’s a lot of money I don’t have but this looks like it’s what I need, to walk my dog, get some sense of adventure, and just live. I rly want to save up to get an xr I’ve been wanting to the past two years, but I need a better job 😂
I would recommend an Euc they are much better for the price, and they simply outperform the OW in every way, from off road to speed, to range, the only real advantage the OW has is looks and ability to ride in place
So to boil it down to a single unbias(i own neither) sentence: Onewheel is easier and more fun while EUCs go faster, farther, and more practical but not as easy or fun... do I have this right?
"Fun" is very subjective and greatly depends how and where you ride each device. If your idea of fun is riding a super slow device that's also super dangerous then sure the onewheel has that. I think I could have more fun riding an EUC off road fast like a dirt bike. To be fair though if you had to ride both devices super slow (let's say @ onewheel top speed of 19mph) then the onewheel probably is more fun. But the reality is that EUC's will allow you to accelerate way beyond that speed............... up a steep muddy hill. There's no comparison really
I loved the format. Also, I think your opinion totally makes sense. Educate yourself before you begin preaching because often, good opinions are rooted from experiences. Thanks for your videos.
I actually seldom hear one group dissing on the other. They seem to keep to themselves mostly. I will say that I see a lot of Onewheeler's moving to EUC's but not the other way around. I wonder, does that mean that Onewheeler's are more open minded than EUC'ers or EUC'ers are smarter ;-) Nice beach scenes BTW.
Deep thoughts! Most people tend to be cordial in person like on group rides and such. But behind the veil of the internet, I've had people leave a lot of nasty comments as I try to bridge the divide between the two devices.
I tend to find it's a method of preference for which kind of device you prefer. People who switch from the Onewheel to the EUC most likely are not too big on the method of using a board style to travel. Which is understandable, it's a specific kind of movement, and not everyone is going to love it. Honestly if the specs of both boards were the same, it would probably come down to mainly just that. The honest to God truth of the matter is, that the EUC can only advance so much considering where it already is. They can go over 50 miles on battery and clock up 35 mph. But it can only go so fast at the end of the day, because you don't exactly want to be moving too fast on something that leaves your body that exposed. So from where I see it, those things may increase in range they they get upgraded, but they are unlikely to keep adding more speed on because if people start having accidents on them it won't be too pretty. So it feels like as both devices are upgraded it really will come down to preference of how someone wants to travel. Because they aren't cars at the end of the day. Both devices have a very noticeable plateau and both are already pretty close to it.
I mostly ride EUC these because of speed and practicality. I find it a lot easier use to use the OW or my ESK8 because i don’t have to maintain a lot of focus. The forward facing stance feels more stable. I still can’t let go of my other devices though even if I rarely ride them.
I love both, I own a euc just cause I feel it was a better bang for my buck, but my gf has a one wheel xr and the thing is awesome, they're both tons of fun.
Hey JC - been watching your videos as a buildup and knowledge center to ultimately deciding to purchase a Onewheel Pint yesterday. Ooof that sticker price though, right? I didn't want to skimp on rider gear or essentials either, so the total bill came out to be nearly $1500. I have faith that I'll enjoy it, but I'll be honest.. I've never snowboarded or skateboarded at all in my life. Never did any board sports. Also, since this quarantine happened, I'm trying to find new ways to enjoy the outdoors and get exercise, which got me thinking.. I saw a Red Bull article saying that skateboarding was definitely a workout in your legs and core muscles. How does Onewheeling stack up to skateboarding when it comes to exercise? I know you're not pushing off anymore, but do you still build up some core muscle workouts maintaining balance on these? I'd love to develop my leg muscles and my lower back and core muscles, and I was hoping that the Onewheel could help at least a little in this effort. Love to hear your opinion on this, perhaps a new video topic? Keep up the great content, and regards to your family! Cheers!
Maybe liking a liger or a tigon isn't such a good idea. Especially since it encourages unatural breeding which also produces pain and suffering. Thanks for the comparison of the wheels though

The funny thing about disliking a video on UA-cam is that it probably does more good for the channel than just ignoring it. UA-cam still sees it as engagement.
I don't mind UA-cam recommending my stuff to new people who may not like it. My style isn't for everyone. But the only reason I get thumbs down minutes after posting is because of trolls that are subscribed. Oh well. They keep me motivated to improve. Deciding which to get first, onewheel or EUC. What is your rec.? Never been on any of them and not much time on a skate bd when younger. I skied but never snow skied.
Nice video. If you have the means to buy bought then no comparison. If you have limited budget then you have to compare then defend your investment to justify your decision 😂

Hi Jimmy, you said it all. Great script, great riding, and great Tiger King reference!
Thanks Mike! Beach clips were from our Clearwater trip last year.
@@freshlycharged I knew it looked familiar, lol. It is just as empty now, but for different reasons obviously.
Just do why I did and finance it through Klarna. $100 a month
I would recommend an Euc they are much better for the price, and they simply outperform the OW in every way, from off road to speed, to range, the only real advantage the OW has is looks and ability to ride in place
Walk your dog? Then walk. Stop being lazy.
So to boil it down to a single unbias(i own neither) sentence: Onewheel is easier and more fun while EUCs go faster, farther, and more practical but not as easy or fun...
do I have this right?
MTFT Games they are equally as fun. It depends on the user.
I prefer the Onewheel Pint because is more carving an fun than ECU an the XR.
I do not care about speed or range.
True! If I go for range I either ride my bike or drive 🤣
I loved the format. Also, I think your opinion totally makes sense. Educate yourself before you begin preaching because often, good opinions are rooted from experiences. Thanks for your videos.
We’re on the same wavelength with our thoughts on these two very awesome devices 👌🏽Great video. Well said🤙🏽
I always say whats up whenever I see a onewheeler🤙🏼 EUC and one wheel can live peacefully together
Good use of the time warp feature :)
You're a good story teller. Great skill to have.
I actually seldom hear one group dissing on the other. They seem to keep to themselves mostly. I will say that I see a lot of Onewheeler's moving to EUC's but not the other way around. I wonder, does that mean that Onewheeler's are more open minded than EUC'ers or EUC'ers are smarter ;-)
Nice beach scenes BTW.
You're a bad dude riding through grass in business attire, Jimjam. Lol these are both really sick though. Good insight, thanks, man.
I'm lucky to have both and I love both of them.
Cheers!
I want a onewheel... But I needed and EUC... It was tough to learn but it's paying off. Ride it to work 6 miles rain or shine. V12ht.
Nice review Jimmy, really well narrated and edited. 👌
I used to really hate you jimmy Chang.... great video and I noticed the script was different in this video. Thumbs up buddy
Great job on this video. Never rode these but have been Checking out the onewheel for a while. Thanks to you now I have to read up on this EUC lol!
I wear protection on my V8f and feel good. I've been riding in snow lately and would much rather ride anything in your neighborhood .
I can't believe you didn't mention the Liger's best skill, their strength in magic!
I thought it was its skills with a bow staff?
Maybe liking a liger or a tigon isn't such a good idea. Especially since it encourages unatural breeding which also produces pain and suffering.
Thanks for the comparison of the wheels though
hi, aside the one of your holidays during the spread of the virus, I am a fan of your videos, thank you!
Now you got me looking at a V11!!!! Love my onewheel, but the range on the EUC... Man. Serious commuting potential.
To be fair, I always thumbs up your posts. 👍🏼
Awesome, thank you! I'll always thumbs up your comment!
@@freshlycharged Thanks man! That means a lot. My wife and I love your videos. Your solid editing skills, well thought out, interesting commentary and FUN you and your kids have together. Keep up the great work my friend!
Eventually, they will either tire of me or start liking the videos. ;)
@@freshlycharged in the meantime it's great that they keep engaging with your videos. UA-cam doesn't care so much if people like or dislike your videos only that they watch them and engage.
Bro! I appreciate you content! Thank you for taking the time to make your videos!
thanks for watching!
Good analogies, I like how you weave it into your discussion. Did you draw the Liger?
Napolean Dynamite did.
i realized as a youtuber a onewheel is a tax write off so i bought one last week and have been binge watching your videos, thanks so much for the content!
Thanks! Glad the videos could help.
The one wheel only does like 20mph. It’s comparable to the very very low end of EUCs - basically beginner/toy wheels
Seriously, I have them all! Go have fun trolls. XR, pint, msx and the pro. Literally no time to comment, only have one set of feet.
The video starts at 2:30 😵💫
Jimmy, I'm pretty sure you're the only one comparing the two. EUC Blows.
insightful
Blows right past the xr at twice the speed without nose diving. While not working about where the next plug in is 😂
I really like all electronic rideable devices, keep up the great work love your videos.
Who ever gave this a thumbs down. I will find you. Give you a hug cause you need it.
Love it. That's what they need, a hug!
How can you see who gives the thumbs down? I wanna find this guy now!
Jimmy how did you go about teaching your kids to ride the EUC, since it has such a steep learning curve. Any tips?
I could def tell you worked on the script. Great stuff!
Thanks again!
class video mate.. im a one wheeler.. 4 months in.. but im curious of the Euc. lol and I'm 48 🙈🙈. il b subscribing.. cheers mate
EUC all day....unless you only wanna go slow and not too far away then the Onewheel is for you😂
Commence arguing 😂
EUC for transportation. Onewheel for fun
EUC definitely! 😊
I have EUC and Ow I have to agree with your comment lol.
Way to be JC! 🤙🏽👊🏽 ✌🏽
Which one is safer / doesn’t require as much careful agility?
The EUC will be safer, but can be more difficult to learn.
Deciding which to get first, onewheel or EUC. What is your rec.? Never been on any of them and not much time on a skate bd when younger. I skied but never snow skied.
Euc cause it's harder to learn
its like snowboarding vs skiing
Riding an EUC is like riding a Onewheel but turning the awesome meter up to an 11 out of 10.
Nice video. If you have the means to buy bought then no comparison. If you have limited budget then you have to compare then defend your investment to justify your decision 😂
Easily one of your best.
Which is more difficult to learn or has steeper learning curve, ow or euc? I started learning ow and still difficult to control a steer a curve.
Great video! Euc all the way!
Would have liked to hear an actual specs comparison on this comparison vid
which is better for use as filmmaking tool?
I use my EUC exclusively to film every ride video for the last year.
Cool video, but I would strongly suggest people don't ride their electric Onewheel on a saltwater beach. A little bit of salt water goes a long way for eating electronics.
Thank you for all your videos! Always great stuff!
I like the music
Actually had no idea that tigers like to play video games.
all except for the tiger moms. they hate video games and much prefer their kids to play piano and do their homework.
Hi Mr. Chang, what is or was your longest streak on a Onewheel? Thanks
Yup, just buy both and enjoy life 🤗
