    • @michaeljmobley
      @michaeljmobley Рік тому

      A lab leak could mean a great many things. A lot of conspiracy theorists will consider a "lab leak" to be some kind of weaponized bioengineered virus. Or it could be an animal that had the virus and was captured and studied on and got out on accident. I don't think we'll ever get the answers because China holds them and they'll never tell us. But I haven't heard a single compelling case that it was bioengineered and weaponized.

      Did you watch the whole podcast or are you just someone who forms opinions on clips without full context? First of all, "who cares if its a lab leak" was in the context of what to do during the emergency rather than ignoring the topic as a whole. Second, he clearly said that he was wrong to ignore the origin of the virus as someone who was on his podcast pointed out to him that the source of the virus was more important than it seemed.

      What we “knew” at the time, Sam was that this virus was dangerous to old people that had co-morbidities. Sam conveniently leaves this fact out of the discussion, he leaves out the fact the Govt and Media (and pundits like Sam) did their best to either cover this fact up or minimize it in some way (just like he did here). Not to mention they (the govt and and many companies) wanted to FORCE you to inject a trial type untested unvetted drug into those that were not in the risk category. Also interesting he gives the benefit of the doubt to well intended persons (like those running the big pharma companies) but not to those that are a MAGA supporters.

When Sam said there just aren't that many bad people in the world, he should have asked them if there were that many bad people in Germany in the 30's. If we don't help them understand by possibly being rude, welcome to Holocaust chapter 2.

    • @Josh-sv4vo
      @Josh-sv4vo Рік тому +2

      Sam means bad to the core. Meaning, there aren't that many people who do bad intentionally. Everyone, especially evil people, all think their actions are justified. That is the nature of evil. It can justify the most evil of acts. It's unaware that it is doing bad. As the saying goes "The road to hell is paved with good intentions". Hitler thought he was doing the world a service by killing off the jews. He meant well. And the people of Germany, in their ignorance, not being able to discern truth from falsehood, carried out the will of evil. That is how it works. Just as the people of MAGA, carry out the will of Trump's evil. they know not what they do.
      The vast majority of humans are not intentionally bad. The vast majority are ignorant, and in their ignorance, do bad things, but they don't do so intentionally. They know not what they do.
      This is a core truth for understanding human behavior. The sooner you and the rest of the populus understand this and the other core truths of human nature and reality, the sooner you can have a world of peace, integrity, and real intelligence and the sooner your public figures of ignorance and vanity will be replaced by those with integrity and wisdom.

    Animals to humans at a wet market and the Chinese authorities didn’t know. The other has them totally culpable knowing the virus got out of their lab with them intentionally knowing this and letting it spread to the world by not closing international flights. The 2 scenarios are not even remotely the same politically and for this ideologically possessed not job it doesn’t matter that his country was allowed to be attacked by a foreign adversary because he hated his own president.

    Took me a year or so to realize how childish Sam was in comparison to others I was watching way back in the day. He is all about himself in so many ways, and can't get past himself to really see other people's view points or even listen. He is the only person who can be right, and everyone has to agree with him. I remember years back him not even having a good back and forth with Jordan Peterson, just because the guy was religious so he wouldn't let it go that he believed in something that Sam aggressively didn't. What should have been an interesting and intelligent podcast just developed into one guy attacking another guy for shit that had nothing to do with anything. Such a shame that brain is full of so much knowledge, and so many big words and facts, but it's stuck with an Elephant that can never see past what it wants to talk about. Oh well.

    Is it intelligent to steel man flat earthers or the case for the lockness monster or bigfoot?
    Of course not, but Lex would do that to maintain harmony. You don't have to do a steel and straw man for every argument just because you want harmony.
    Lex's valuing of harmony over truth is irresponsible at worst and naive at best. He thinks it's the moral thing, and that he's living up to a higher moral standard than those who value truth above harmony, but he doesn't understand.
    The valuing of truth is what will eventually create harmony. Peace and love vibes will only take you so far. Omitting things from truth is what creates confusion and perpetuates the phenomenon of the population not to be able to discern truth from falsehood, especially in the context of public discourse. When information is distorted, or not fully accounted for, the masses are easily led astray, as evidenced by the millions tuning into Tucker Carlson on the nightly.
    Access to the truth, from intellectually equipped leaders is critical for a population struggling with intellectual development. When you prioritize harmony over truth, you risk perpetuating falsehoods and distorting reality, which can wreck society in all manner. Therefore, to best serve the populus Lex, Truth should be #1, not Harmony.
    If you want harmony to endure, the truth is THE ONLY WAY to get that.
