I love when she invites her son on the show, it's so wholesome.
For anyone who would like to make this recipe:
For the Tofu:
1 Package Medium Tofu, drained
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Oil, for frying
Sauce: (note, this makes a lot)
5-6 diced green onions
2 heaping tablespoons of minced garlic (appx 12 medium garlic cloves)
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup sesame oil
1/4 cup mirin
Combine all sauce ingredients in a medium bowl and stir to combine. Set aside.
Drain and slice tofu into wide strips, patting dry with a paper towel. Season tofu with salt and pepper to taste. Fry tofu in small amount of oil in a non-stick skillet set over medium heat, turning tofu over once it has browned on the first side.
Spoon some of the sauce mixture on top of the tofu as it cooks. Flip tofu once more and add several more spoonful's of the sauce on top. Continue to cook until tofu is heated through and sauce has begun to thicken. Serve.
THANK YOU
Is this tofu pressed, or just drained and patted dry?
@@blahblah9036drained and patted dry!
Thank you for taking the time to do this.
@@blahblah9036 Drained and patted dry. You don't even need to pat it dry, honestly. Salting the tofu pulls out excess water, so just drain the water that collects on the plate into the sink. The only reason for patting it dry is if there's too much water on the surface of the tofu, because hot oil in the pan does not react well to water. You can always cover the pan with a lid, though.
2:24 Mama Cho accidentally reveals the secret sauce formula passed down through the generations.
In all seriousness though these videos are just so wholesome and enjoyable.
Soy sauce(plus veggies) on tofu made from soy beans? I think I'm seeing a trend.
"good! good! excellent!" it's like I could hear the little cooking mama success tune every time
Litterally cooking mama irl exclusive to Korea
Sungwon accidentally destroys the tofu with his Hulk strength.
I’m very happy that you are doing this with your mom , I bet your discovering things about her that you never knew. And she’s probably happy that you included her in your videos
I love when this channel turns into Mama Cho cooking channel and Sung Won turns into a little kid again just helping, flipping the tofu. I wish my parents had taught me to cook like this, I had to teach myself with Food Network, experimenting, and later UA-cam.
@ 02:18 Our Mans reverted to a little kid again helping mom in the kitchen
This series is a treasure ❤ also, the mama cho intro is lovely. Congrats to whoever made it!
I just got done eating but this delicious looking food is making me hungry again!
Also Mama Cho praising Sung Won when he flipped the tofu was so sweet!
He unleashed his inner Senshi with Mama Cho
The vibes in this video are immaculate. I feel at peace and restored
are you my uncle?
No, but I’ll share
He’s all our uncle 😂
No, he’s Senshi
That's My Uncle!
2:19 mama cho is the real youtuber™ by telling sung won to show the dish to the camera 😂
I have tofu in the fridge I need to use, perfect timing! Looks incredible
I never thought about cooking tofu like this.
it's good 😋
Very nice kitchen Mama Cho has, and the set up is actually perfect for a cooking show...with the island burners and the wall double oven,
lol I find 2:20 hilarious...It's like a lil kid showing his work.
I didn't expect them to actually make dubu jorim. Also plot twist, this was all the same meal.
The sauce is exactly the same as the fish from before. Personally I don't salt the tofu because I just prefer to use more of the sauce rather than adding normal salt. I also don't pat my tofu dry, although it would definitely help it sear faster.
The only thing I would change, though, is cutting the tofu along the length instead of the width first, and then cutting each slice in half. That way you end up with shorter rectangles that are easier to flip and move without breaking. You could also just cut it the same way they did, but then cut those pieces in half, but then you end up with more squarish pieces, and that just doesn't feel right to me. Honestly, though, you can make the rectangles as long or short as you want.
The cooking is very straightforward. Medium heat in some neutral oil until it looks golden brown, about like it did in the video. Then add the sauce, more is better, except be careful about making it too salty. Then you just get the tofu coated in the sauce and cook it until the sauce isn't wet and runny anymore, flipping a couple times along the way. Since tofu is edible raw, you can really just do everything by eye, and the only things to be careful about are burning the tofu and adding too much salt.
I'm loving this series! I made the salmon recipe from the last video last night. Super tasty!
It would be nice if the recipe was in the description so I could follow along while cooking without having to pause and rewind or skip around to find the ingredients/ratios/steps.
i hope you saw it already, but larryives4589 posted a write-up in the comments. it's very thorough! but yeah, hopefully he adds it in the description or pins the comments with it written :)
This is actually so wholesome :)
these videos have inspired me! i’m hitting up hmart tomorrow so i can make braised tofu and anchovy stir fry!!
The shot of them at the stove together 🥲
I get so much happiness from this

Catching up on the cooking videos - these are adorable! So cozy
One of my favourite korean recipes! Imagine my surprise when Prozd covers it
My dude, this is so adorable 👌
This video made me miss my mum but I’m glad you still have yours it’s Mother’s Day in Australia tomorrow , give your mum a big hug
Tasty looking as always!! I know from hot pot that tofu is so hard to move without destroying it but SungWon immediately breaking one was incredible comedic timing LMAO
2 in the same week?? You're spoiling us.
The sizzling sound of skillets could be a sleep sound video all on their own. I think it has ASMR potential.
Love this series!!
These videos make me very happy... and also make me think about changing up my dubujorim recipe.
I made this for my family last night. Happy to see you cooking with mom!
This looks so good and simple! I enjoy cooking but the cost and effort of food prep usually intimidate me, so I'm excited to try this 🥰 Thank you for the recipe, Mama Cho!
I think I would almost prefer to see you and your mom cook everything in one big video, that way it brings everything to a full circle! Just a consideration, great stuff ❤❤
This was so fun to watch!
I love this series ❤
This is so cute. I love how much fun she's having with this show!! As someone who wishes I had a better relationship with my mom, this warms my heart :')
So awesome to watch!

I love these so much
Family time cooking is always enjoyable to see
Looks so good!!
Delicious in Mama Cho's Dungeon! 🥰
Looks delicious. I have to have rice with it for sure. I have tried freezing tofu before and defrosting it before. really helps when frying. Delicious
We didn't cover too much Korean in international class in culinary school, We only made kimchee and bulgogi. This is great learning for me.
1:13 SungWon stance 🧍🏻♂️
2:19 a child shows you their creation
Mama cho is adorable.
I'd love to see more tofu recipes!
Woah! I had no clue FixItMan78 had a 2nd channel! Proud to be part of the #FixItManFanFam

So sweet, and the food looks delicious ❤
This series makes so 😊
Aaaaand now I know what I'm cooking up this weekend!
Koreans: Tofu isn't soft enough
More Koreans: Boil it to shit!
I love braised tofu! I'll have to use that method thank you for sharing
has he shown his mom Delicious in Dungeon and all the cooking his character does?
Top tier content.
Mama Cho needs a towel under the cutting board to prevent slipping!!
You are a very inspirational Engine. ❤️
This is adorable
my mom used to make this all the time... memoriessssssssss
man sad
man see this video
man happy
You're looking like any 5 years old kid helping his mom, the energy is the same XD
I am once again asking you to please tell Mama Cho to put a slightly damp paper towel under the cutting board to stop it from sliding around.
hey buddy we recorded these like two years ago, you do not need to spam this same comment on every single video, you are literally talking to the past
@@ProZDoh okay, sorry! I didn’t know they were filmed that long ago!
I wasn’t trying to spam 😥
It’s a kitchen tip I try to share often because it really makes a difference for a lot of people.
But I’ll stop now since it bothers you. Sorry again!
@@hambone4858 gotcha, i appreciate the intent, the repeating the comment came off as aggressive to me, but now i see you were just trying to be helpful, so no harm done. i'll let her know about the tip (although honestly she's been cooking for like 40+ years and might just keep doing things the way she does things, so no promises)
just like watching an earlier ep of delicious in dungeon!! so cute!! 😆
*ProZD!!!*
I'm early!! Hello mama cho ❤❤❤ such a lovely treat as always 😊😊
Let’s goooooo!!!!!
new series?
That looks so good.
Best way to prepare tofu, and you can technically substitute with any other sauce for one's own preference! My simple go-to is super garlicky fish sauce and green onions.
You have an amazing mother
I cooked this in a monster infested labyrinth today, and it was delicious!
Delicious in Dungeon!
What was the resolution for the final pic? At first I thought I had to up the video quality I thought I was watching in like 360p (good video btw as usual xoxo).
요 두부조림 제육볶음...집밥 제대로네요
This might be the first (only?) cooking with mom ProZD video that is vegetarian! Possibly even vegan? Whoa! Rad!
You're amazing
Similar how I make it. I buy the same Tofu.
I cut it way smaller and thinner tho, and I throw garlic, ginger, soysauce, msg into my mini blender and also throw it onto the tofu after it's browned on both sides.
Sometimes I add butter too 😆
He’s learning the ways of Senshi
Thank you! 😋
Reminds me a little of spam masubi prep
Truly this is Delicious in Dungeon
That tofu looking good.
Yay! I love tofu!
i mean, he had to have picked up at least a little bit of cook'n knowledge from voicing Senchi...right?
😂
stupid question: Are you the narrator for the (short) "Funko Fusion" (IGN) Trailer?? sounds exaclty like you ✌
You mom might have made me want to give tofu a try! S Rank as always.
한국어 두분 다 잘 하시나요!?
👍🏻
woa looks so yummyyyy
