THANK YOU!!! I thought I was losing my mind because fans and commentators alike seem to heap effusive praise upon Patrick for fixing Serena's technique when in reality he has destroyed it. The new FH is underpowered and inconsistent. It started in 2015 when Sascha left and Patrick took the reins. He needs to go.
@@CDawg Yes! I noticed this starting in 2015 Aussie Open. Her forehand has gotten worse to the point where in 2020 and 2021 I see her pull up and hit her forehand with a reverse finish 80%-90% of the time. Shes not getting winners and consistency.
@@CDawg Also don't get me started about how Patrick ruined her serve. She used to be so strategic with placement and slice spins. Now all she does is go for broke and try to hit flat bombs everytime.
I commented that Serena's technique was awful under the highlights video of her 2019 Toronto match against Alexandrova (ua-cam.com/video/P-7Rv-5wvpQ/v-deo.html), and I got called a troll (@Ben Siemer) and a hater (@SG Atsuko). Please excuse the length and language of my responses...
@Ben Siemer Not a troll, you f**king idiot. Serena is constantly pulling up, instead of hitting through, her forehand follow-through. Those serves were an absolute joke. She hasn't played GOOD aggressive tennis since 2014 when Sasha left. Even though she won three majors in 2015 her tennis was mostly awful: she choked away leads and introduced these new ineffectual underpowered groundstrokes. At the US Open Patrick was bragging about fixing her serve to Pam Shriver: you can't fix perfection. Look up some videos of her play from 2012 and 2013: listen to the sound of the ball coming off her racket. Watch how her opponents can't get the ball back in play even if they make the distance. That is no longer the case. I can't tell if her tennis has deteriorated with age--which is common and understandable--because her TECHNIQUE has changed for the worse. I love Angie Kerber more than most people, but she should not be leading their major final head-to-head. Simona Halep would not be the Wimbledon champion if Serena had shown up and played with her pre-2015 technique. The Frog needs to go!
2013 was a successful one for Serena, if it had not been for that choke against Lisiki it would have been perfect almost
Estos partidos son los partidos que provocan ver no los de ahora
Thank you for showing Serena vs Li Na. I always enjoyed their matches.
Thanks, awesome match and HL! One of my favorite Serena dresses especially for the colors of the (superior, former) Miami Open
Sharapova also had similar colour's dress for miami 2013.
yes
SERENA NR 1 od zawsze już na zawsze 🎈🎾🇺🇲😎🖐️🇵🇱
Li was on the verge of being Maria 2.0 before she retired!
Wonderful Serena. 😍❤💕💖🙏
Serena was so fit and not using the reverse forehand finish on every single shot - actually hitting through the forehand. I miss this
