Yankum Ropes Ruined My Video.

- When I got a call for a school bus that was stuck in the snow I thought I was going to have a really good and fairly rough recovery video with my little 4x4 wrecker. When I got there I found that the bus wasn’t stuck that bad, so I figured I’d hook up the 1” @YankumRopes and see if it would do it. A friend of the bud owner was able to meet me there and be the driver to assist with a little throttle, and this ended up being such a very fast and easy job that it made for a terrible video as far as UA-cam content goes. But luckily it made it so that I still had time to meet my girls for a Christmas Eve dinner at a friends house and get some good family time in.

Thank you Casey for introducing "us" to recovery ropes. We bought them, we use them, 💯 game changer....... the soft shackles are one of the best things we've implemented in a long time.
We had a great peer-a-kneez (sp) that dug holes chasing badgers that a case tractor would fall in and get stuck. I remember being elated because dad let me drive the international (with a cab) while we got it unstuck. Dad was mad the whole time, probably because of the long walk back to the house. I was all smiles getting to sit alone driving the big tractor at 8yo. Thanks Buffy.
That would have made my day as well. I wasn't allowed to drive any of the family vehicles till I was 16.

I love and swear by kinetic ropes now… last year I thought it was all snake oil and I spent 200 on one off of Amazon. It has worked flawlessly and amazing it makes recoveries a breeze and no sudden harsh jerks. It’s really amazing how far technology has come

Those "Yankem Ropes" are unbelievable. Even as many times as I have seen you use them or others......just can't get over just how well they work without tearing up stuff.
Great job, Casey. Always a pleasure to watch a pro doing the job the right way. I've never tried to tow or push a school bus, but I have used a 79 Thunderbird to move a loaded cube van, an 81 Volvo 240 automatic to move a mature walnut tree, and a 90 Volvo 240 automatic to haul half ton pick-ups out of ditches.
I was expecting you to rip the school bus's bumper right off! Lol!
But another great recovery! Can't always be spectacular, but they are always enjoyable!

Any time I start to grumble about the AC or heat in my 06 F150 (which is only fiddly on occasion) I just need to watch one of Casey's videos with this truck and it reminds me of the woes of 70's-90's Ford pickup AC/heat, or lack there of, that we had to deal with way back then.

Your video was NOT lame . . true I was expecting the rope to pop but there was anticipation to see the dog's hole and still to get the bus out. The quick pop out of the bus was satisfying. I’ve noticed you always try to use both tow hooks. Smart! It was quite awhile ago I use to do a lot of work for Barnett towing out of Maupin. Don’t recall the whole story. But I had not seen the owner for quite some time and when I did he was all messed up. He was pulling at the time late model early 90’s Chevy onto hit truck when the tow hook flew off and hit him in the face. I think it sheared the mounting bolts.

Looking forward to my birthday! I asked for a Yankum rope. I do snow removal in the Bend area and often pull people out of ditches and even extremely flat parking spaces. Tired of lugging my chains around!

If you had thought for some reason this was going to be an easy one it would have taken an hour or so. Just glad you took us along no matter how easy or hard the job. I used to bid on these buses when the schools replaced them and re-sale them for a decent profit. I have bought and sold 17 of them. One guy bought one and shipped it to Africa, I bet the boat ride cost more than he paid for the bus. I took the corner mirrors off for him because it would have been 4" too long for him to afford to ship it.

It is rare and I mean rate for a Yankum rope or gear to fail. I just like watching your videos. Usually short and sweet. Not a long drawn out affair like a lot of channels. Maybe one day the other channels will get the hint.

Pull the defroster vents apart this spring and find all the treasures the previous owners lost down them or fix the door that directs the air those are the 2 problems I've had with defrosters with my older trucks who's dash can double as a catchall when the defroster isn't needed
Only thing I don't like about yankum is the price. Can't afford one and have seen so many people this year stuck that if I had one I could have helped. Makes me feel bad to have to walk away from an easy job because I can't afford to get a good rope. Otherwise, great job again Yankum and Casey

Yankum Ropes look awesome 👏 I went to buy some off road tyres a few years back and ended up buying a huge kinetic rope which I didn’t really get any use out of it the Yankums look like they have a higher capacity on a smaller rope than mine which was super cumbersome.
i still think it was a good video , you helped that guy out and the rope made it easy to do that , great work , Happy Holidays to you and your family my friend
