We picked this truck up from a mine a few hundred miles east-ish where Quinton found it out in their boneyard last winter. They are getting ready to clean out the yard and scrap all the old equipment in it, so Quinton made a deal on the truck and we headed east to get it. Luckily before it got parked it had two brand new front tires on it, and the hubs still had oil in them. That meant I was able to just hook on and rear tow it instead of loading it up on the deck, which made my job much easier. But the beauty of the @NRCIndustries rollback is that I have the option to do it either way depending on the condition of the vehicle and the circumstance that it’s in. I’m absolutely loving the versatility of this truck!

If you didn't want everyone to know where the truck came from, It might have been a good idea to blur the name on the door....LOL
If that was where it came from, we would have..
@@turn-n-burn1421 yep, I gave the hints I wanted!
Lol. I was just logging on to say the same thing
Burns has a good Pizza Joint
@@CaseyLaDelle casey is smarter then I look
The way you just parked that truck in just 1 try. Awesome. 10 star driver.
I love those Peterbilt tractors!!! Older Mack's being a close second. But that's an awesome, awesome score!!!! I would love to have one built into a motorhome.
That was excellent precision reverse driving that included a 90° turn, of two long wheelbase trucks into that big shop.
If you go back over the last couple of weeks of Casey's videos, he has used his whole fleet of trucks, from the tracked Jeep in the fire tower rescue (an extraordinary adventure) to the grey Dodge to the sneaker Dodge to the big rollback. Using the right vehicle for the job is cool and that is what Rory/Trail Mater does also. Good stuff
And in his next video he is using his small blue tractor to snow plough at Grumpy's.
Love this! I grew up about ten miles from where y'all were AND worked in that mine a loooong time ago. Next time you're in Burns my man and I will buy you lunch! ~Marilyn n Rob
GREAT JOB backing that truck into the shop! Thank You for taking us along for the ride and seeing all the snow covering the land. Be Safe! 👍
Well Casey. I am not one to comment every video. But I do have to say: For someone who is not a “big rig” driver, I was very very impressed with that job of backing that truck into the garage. Amazing. And while I am here, thanks. I appreciate your humility and honesty. You don’t pretend to be the end all know all guy. It would be nice if more people would try to help others at little or no cost.
not sure if anyone gets this...
good drivers don't brag....
Casey is a good driver.... saying he was thinking to have a fork lift push it in because he did not think he would get it in there.....
you're a modest driver ..... great driving
Cool Old school truck 😊
"Precision driving" - that's why Casey gets paid the big bucks! Loved the video. Thanks for your efforts!
LOL "when the wheels fly off we will just..." lol the optimism here :D
Good recovery of a nice old Peterbilt! Save the old stuff because it beats the plastic cars of today!
Casey, thanks for posting Quinton's site - now I've got another great site for my daily fix!
Just to the right of this video is the one where he does the "will it run" on it. Handy. Watching you back that Pete into the door makes it look like you know what you are doing.
I back up horse trailers and flatbeds loaded with hay at home, and your placement of the rig in Quentin's shop was a masterpiece of skill.
Well done. Next time I'm out visiting Brothers, I'd love to buy a beer and toast your many good deeds.
I remember that tachygraph from the buses on a USN base in the PI when I was much , much younger. The drivers used to break the glass and pin the needle so it wouldn’t go past 45. Lol memories
Awesome save
Love them older trucks! They’re runners, wish him luck and a lot of $$$$$ to get it working again
The old HENDRICKSON suspension will give you a nice firm ride. Good job saving that great old truck.
I have not seen a lot of driving videos, but getting that truck in the shop was some of the best driving I have ever seen. You could make a living giving lessons to all of these trailer campers who always have to pull in frontwards! Wow...
I have seen truck jockeys back into tight spots under the pressure of busy traffic. They do it daily but is still impressive. Casey did this cold with one attempt from a contorted path. It helps to have a handle on the art of backing but this was respectable.
Now if you care to see a truly challenging backup effort watch those that back up pup trailers that have their own fifth wheel into loading docks in Sweden. I've attempted to maneuver a farm wagon and can appreciate what it takes.
Very nice, guys👍👍Quinton, so happy your dad wanted this ol truck... she's beautiful ❤️🤗
I like the early morning videos, gives me something to watch early before I start my daily shenanigans. Cheers to a new day Casey.✌🏼
I saw "classic truck" and was thinking some old rusted 1950s or earlier dump truck or something.
But no it's a 1984. I started logging in 1985 and that would have been a state of the art truck.
Man, I'm getting old. I guess I'm a classic.
Clinton has a new toy. The road to the mine, which wasn't shown, appeared to be deserted as you both stood in the middle of the road for some time. Sure wouldn't want to break down out there and need assistance.
And as barren as the land was you are talking about camping in that place. No thank you!
It was a great pickup and return trip with ever amount of safety. Also a super job of backing the two long units into the shop. Didn't even get the tires dirty, probably because both trucks were already dirty.
Stay safe and drive us around with care.
You have wanderlust. I still do when I get out in the country hiking around.
It's really hard to describe the screaming roar of a two-stroke Detroit Diesel. They used to go past my house to the local gas distributor. Nowadays, you can't even hear any trucks go past.
HEY! Good morning Casey!
Greatings from the UK. Great video, brilliant reversing at the end. You have same great copilots - Quinton, Grumpy, Ben, et al
Good driving Casey 😉.
0:49 that reflexive grab for the “oh shit handle” was a vibe lol
By far the best office window view. When I saw where you were going to put the truck I thought you would have had Quinton jump in and steer it back
That was our plan, but then I just tried it myself
@@CaseyLaDelle turns out you were good at it too (just got to that part on Quinton video too)
@@CaseyLaDelle it's almost like you knew what you were doing
@@CaseyLaDelle
You're a very good backer upper. Swinging that long rollback around and putting that long wheelbase rescue truck into that dark hole takes talent.
Good work.
@@CaseyLaDelle Great job! Long tractor, short trailer is hardest to back, you made it look easy.
Great job backing up that looks like a tight spot
In Colorado in the 90's we got caught on a pass in blizzard conditions, and discovered we could see fine through an old VHS camera. We drove out of it fine.
Casey I have been watching your channel for over a year and just noticed I wasn't subscribed so I just did that. Nice peterbuilt. I started driving semi in 87 with a KW ended my career in a peat with automatic
I love that old Range Rover at 16:52! 🎉
i really like clints attitude! hope to see him more
You can see him all the time in his channel!
Your 'new ' truck does it all...
Putting that truck in the shop was impressive. Great job keep up the good work. God bless you for what you do.
Casey..
Your backing skills are OUTSTANDING.
That was Seriously Impressive
Western Oregon in the winter, thank goodness you had a safe drive going out & returning. Backing in the big unit in the garage was beyond what most drivers are capable of, including me. I compliment you heartily for that & in assisting your friend, that was very kind of you.
You may say that you're not very good at this, but you certainly are allowed to brag about your backing-up skills! One shot into the garage? With a rig that probably 50' long? I'm impressed!!!
Hey Casey, This is 2nd time watching this for me. I can see mud tires diff. locks, front drive axle and a Zach lift on the back. and you headed off in ten feet of snow to a recovery LOL
Another great video!👍😎 Backing that truck in the garage 😳Awesome driving skills😎 keep the excellent videos coming and stay safe out there!❤️🙏
Another 25 minutes with Casey? Anytime, Anywhere! Masterfully done Sir.
Love Quinton"s excitement over his find. Outstanding job of backing that rig into his building.
I know you never said you were good at this, but you're getting there grasshopper. You're getting there. 👍
That’s a cool old truck and it’s 90% of the adventure going out into the middle of nowhere to get them. You definitely had some great scenery on this adventure and a few challenges with the snow blown and slightly iced over roads. Thanks for sharing!
Showing off those backing up driving skills! Nice.
I agree , a 12 cylinder 2 stroke Detroit in Quinton's " new " truck . Top o' the morning, everyone !
I already seen it, and it runs, got a good deal good truck.
Impressive backing of the big truck with the really long truck. Good to see someone besides me stayed awake in geometry class. That 359 is a great truck for the price.
Best regards from Indiana.
I love the segment where you stop on the road in the middle of no where. The engine off makes it feel even more serine. The quiet was really load. Love it. Thanks for the awesome video. God Bless.
If you think that's serine, you should try breaking down out west. Waiting for help or even a car to pass by . Ask me how I know. 🤔
That was a masterful job backing the truck into the shop bay. That flatbed is earning its keep. Nice project.
Sweet truck.. Hey, All in the same day is all that matters
Did a great job backing that in the shop!
What an awesome old Peterbuilt! Great find!!
Thanks once again for taking us along on your adventures. The scenery is awesome. South Central Illinois has it's own charm but MAN! That country is beautiful!
Glad you saved this old truck!!😎👍💗
Casey, we take all our trucks to Les Schwab and have All the tires "Siped". They don't have to be new, just good condition with decent tread. The siping machine puts cross-cuts on the tread which gives Great traction on ice and snow, rides quieter, and nearly doubles the mileage life of the tire.
Another Great video!!! 😎👍
That's a cool Peterbilt. Definitely going to follow Quinton's channel for the rebuild.
The interior of that rig is absolutely amazing. I do hope it gets saved and rebuilt.
Imagine what the settlers must of thought back in the day I've side open spaces awesome scenery fantastic footage awsome content nice to see one saved thank you for sharing tremendous video
Thumbs up great video in the snow and ice
Great video
Thanks for the video, always enjoy watching!
That truck is awsome! Hope youll put it to work!
Amazing! The landscape, the trucks and your backing up. Congratulations! Love to watch your videos.
Oh my! That interior is soooo gorgeous 😍. I love that old truck.
Backing in was amazing
That was top of the line when it was built.
great backing mate.
It is a very very nice truck and can hardly wait to see the completion of what it's gonna be
Awesome work! I want to learn towing and recovery....
Cool video and great backing job Casey.
Can't wait to see the outcome of the Frankenstein build.keep up the good work you do cassie.
Great video and backup God bless from GA and stay safe and happy holidays
Nice driving at the end . . . Cheers.
You guys were like kids on Christmas morning, I love it. 😊
I always say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
Impressive backing skills! If you want a cattle across the road story, A friend and I were spending a week at Moab but we rented a house up on LaSalle mountain. On our way down the mountain to ride, we are suddenly slowed to cattle walk speed for 20 minutes while some cowboys move the heard down the road a few miles. They never looked back at the miles of vehicles behind.
Had that happen a couple of times in Northern California.
What a nice truck, great score!
that was some mighty-fine backing upping!
That was an awesome job backing that truck into the shop. Good on you.
that was funny.... "what the hell is rattling ???" every day in my semi.. if there was a rattle lol.... I had an international....it rattled every day... trying to figure out what the new rattle was..... that was the challenge..
Secretive mine location. "Eagle picher mine" logos on truck doors lol
And?? It also has Hooker Creeks stripes on it. But we sure as hell didn’t pick it up in downtown Bend Oregon..
@CascadeHeavyRescue I thought it was funny. Is that OK? Or should I find another channel to sub to and follow?
Master skills of driving right here..... Great job Casey!!
OMG .......... Eagle Picher ......Flashing WAY back.... Takes me back to the late 1960's early 1970's in my family's business in northern Nevada servicing mining/construction/trucking equipment.
Great video Casey. The long scenic drive was beautiful. Your rollback worked fantastic. Nice backup skill. 🤙😎
Putting that thing into the hangar... Awesome job! Congrats from another towtrucker.
That's one nice oldie👍 7° wow and I thought 18° was cold here in Arizona🥶 I was born in Medford and spent 29 years in Jackson County before moving to Arizona. I forgot how cold it got in Oregon, especially your neck of the woods Casey! Merry Christmas to you and your family🎄☃️🎀
Super impressed at backing into that bay w/o repositioning or unhooking.
Backing up like that takes experience. Experience comes from trying new things especially when you never said you were good at this... Fantastic as always!
Nice work Casey. Thanks for the link. Subscribed to his channel for the build, should be cool.
Loved seeing on Quinton's channel the name and location of the mine. That is beautiful country up there.
You didn’t see what you think you saw
@@CaseyLaDelle 😆. You could see the perlite on the truck. and the diamateous earth. It's okay. We won't say anything more. 😁
@@CaseyLaDelle By the way, great videos. Good variety. As I've mentioned many times, I love seeing the Oregon countryside. My father had a logging company in Lakeview and hauled logs and his heavy equipment all over in Eastern Oregon. Back in the '40s' and 50's.
Gold medal reversing skills right there, impressive!
Your backing skills are top shelf. Good on you.
That was one gorgeous trip.the sunset was beautiful
Let's see - we got to see Quinton again, the new truck, some beautiful scenery, and how the frame forks work. All in one video - is there a better way to start a morning off? I know it's not practical, but a set of TPMS sensors to put on the steer wheels when you tow like that would be super - you could monitor not only the pressure, but they would show if there's a heat increase (as in the concern with the hubs that you expressed). Still a fantastic video - thanks, Casey!!
I started my driving career in a 359 Pete. Loved the corvette dash. that truck spoiled me. It had a 475 Cummins with a 13 speed. Great truck. Nothing against your corn binder I just got spoiled driving Peterbilt's. Truck of my choice. But I'm retired now and only sometimes miss it lol..
Now a fan of Iron King and 406 garage. I love watching old but good stuff get fixed up. Always good videos. You guys on that side of the state are having too much a good time. When you look out and wonder about camping in the boonies, think tracks on the rv. Just a thought.
