I usually get the Gangster scene when i go on this ride. So when I went as part of a band trip and I went on this with my friends I was so happy to get it especially since a 3 of my friends were never at Disney before and this is 110% better than the gangster!
No, it's not new. They run both versions when it's busier. This comment was left on my video of the other version of the ride. 'They normally only run the "A Track" on very busy days. It's cheaper to run the "B Track" (The Gangster Scene) due to the lack of pyrotechnics. You'll notice there is normally a tram in front of yours that is empty.'
I love this ride. One question though, why did they rush you all through that final section instead of letting you sit through the film of many decades of great films? I always love the roar of the Millennium Falcon going into hyperspace.
By the end of 2016, they should really redo the montage and maybe even the ride, so many great movies has passed as so many are nearing it's time to shine.
Such a shame this closed. I never got to ride it. I just watched the B Track version of the whole show and like I said there, I'm glad this exists so I can experience both as closey as possible

They did, he just cannot upload that section due to copyrights, etc.

Sadly not going to happen, the ride is going to be replaced by a new Mickey Mouse Ride
