@@DeltaDgtlAnimation I honestly have to agree. I was not too impressed with "Nadir". In fact, after the first 5 minutes, I ended up switching back over to "Born Hanged". After a release like that, you can only hope it continues in that direction, heaviness and lyrically wise. Hell, even "The Unconquerable Dark", in my opinion, was better than "Nadir", but to each their own. Considering it to be one of the best metal records ever, is a bit of a far cry, to be honest. Sure it's good in some perspective, but not one of the best. Being a little hypocritical, I'm honestly hyped for Angelmaker to drop their new album on the first of the year. I've loved everything about them, from Decay, all the way up to their split with ANiT, despite only having 3 songs. Dissentient has to be my favorite from them, because in my eyes, it deserved album of the year. It covers all aspects of metal, both old and new school. Albeit, maybe I just haven't found a song on "Nadir" that I like, but I figure I'll give it another listen.

Cajobu I totally respect your opinion man, (and Angelmaker is incredible), but I suggest giving it more of a chance than 5 minutes. This album is a bit of a grower, but it is honestly a masterpiece. I have never heard an album that sounds even a little like Nadir. Totally respect if ya don’t like it, but it really is amazing. Second Death, Contrapasso, and their Celtic Frost cover (Dying God Coming Into Human Flesh) are my favorites. Definitely recommend giving it a better chance man :)
