I'm gonna have to say that they actually are famous. Most people who listen to Deathcore know about this band by now. Of course they're still underground in the grand scheme of music, but I'd say they have a cult following.
@P. Kwiva 100%. My boy's and I have known about Distant for a hot minute now. Zeroten with Ben Mason got us into these dude's over 4 year's ago. Needless to say they've come a long way since then. Then again there's a ton of casuals lurking the genre (especially now after Lorna has blown up) and what may seem like well known band's to people like you and I that are knee deep in this stuff, they could be relatively unknown to them.

I like it. So many bands are getting insanely technical (like Rings of Saturn, etc.), it's kinda refreshing to hear a more simple, beatdown style of deathcore. Plus the vocalist just fucking kills it!
I absolutely love Distant and downtempo in general...but there are a SHITLOAD of simple beatdown/downtempo band's...way TOO many to be honest. This is honestly one of the most overcrowded genres in the heavy music scene right now. Once again, don't take that as a slight to Distant...I love these dude's, and this is probably one of the most listened too genres for me in general and I go to show's ALLLL the time...but the truth is that there are FAR too many band's within this genre that all sound exactly the same.
As long as there are some variations between songs so that it doesn't sound like I'm listening to the same song on repeat, then I'm totally okay with all these bands sounding the same. When I want to listen to Downtempo Beatdown Deathcore, I expect it to sound a certain way, and if it didn't meet my expectations, I would be disappointed.

I kinda wish they threw in some crazy imagery (possibly even CGI) matching the theme of the album artwork and the lyrics. This song has a certain epic atmosphere to it that takes my imagination to a dark place.
