      It is difficult to explain but I have covered that a little in this video as i get the patient to adduct - causing a contraction and subsequently strengthening of the subscapularis, which then helps to increase the space superiorly above the humeral head within the subacromial space. Hope that helps, regards JG

    What kind of specialist would I go to and have this done. I’m all pinched up in my shoulder. Diagnosed with slap tear through arthogram, scapular dyskinesis and bicep tendinitis but no matter how much rehab I do its still just so off.
    Tons of research and becoming in tune with my body I have come to the conclusion that what you are describing is almost spot on what is happening. My shoulder is slightly rounded my one scapula does not fire like the other one and it feels like it is pinching the supraspinatus, the bicep etc. I lift weights and fight through it but it really makes it stand out. Like when I try to do scapula push-ups when I come into scapular retraction my shoulder feels like it is just pinching everything like it isn’t lined up and I have to rock it back to do it. Most of what I read talks about the impingement to and at 90 degrees but my shoulder pops/cracks at like 110-120 degrees every time.
    Anyway just sharing long story lol but I really feel like I would like to have something like this tried so what kind of specialists would I go to and ask to have this done?

As I'm struggling to move my shoulder in full range and my scapula seems not to move. Which is causing issues with pins and needles to my hands, and lots of pain in my elbows. Thou I have been given an MRI and C5, 6 & 7 are prolapsed too. Which is also giving me major issues. Hi John, I have a painful clicking shoulder on the front/outer part of the shoulder and a non-painful clicking sternum. I've been avoiding things like shoulder press and bench press and have been doing more pulling movements/external rotations with bands instead. What kind of problem(s) do you think I have with my shoulder/chest and is there any movement that might cure these symptoms?

    • @JohnGibbons
      @JohnGibbons  4 роки тому +1

      Hard to say without looking at you - if the click repeats on the shoulder then probably a tendon or ligament flicking and as long as it says non-painful then try not to worry about it. If not sure then see someone like me where you live, regards JG

    • @intenselifter5538

      @@JohnGibbons I think you are right. I think I have a tendon or ligament flicking which is pulling the shoulder and the shoulder is pulling the sternum. Something which has helped me tremendously is performing light weight corrective presses with cables rather than doing a barbell bench press and being strained on a fixed position. I am about 6'4" with longer arms so some exercises I perform at the gym I have to modify. How would you teach someone like myself how to correctively press?

    My impingement comes and goes and its really becoming annoying. Im a bodybuilder where im really trying 100% to have meticulous form. Ice tends to heal it for 10 min. Anti inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and paracetamol I feel like they make things worse. I did all the exercises in the world nothing is helping. How I would accurately describe it is discomfit and irritation "my range of motion is normal" it's like I living with the discomfort. What should I do?

      Hello, your range of motion is normal? As in you feel no clunking when you abduct or extend? But you feel pain?

      Rob Cox pain would be an overstatement. My range of motion isn’t inspired however, if I’d describe it simply my joints etc are very uncomfortable to a point where I keep wanting to pop my shoulder or just chop it off. You know that feeling where you constantly just wanna crack your fingers ? Along with the discomfort eventually it’s painful

      Rob Cox it’s as if I have to live with it forever or I was born this way do you know what I mean ? I feel like at any second I might get injured “very weak per say”

      @@bilalturkan8004 look to opposite side glute for misfiring if you can find someone. Your gait cycle has a direct relationship to your shoulder. Look at posterior longitudinal sling

    Firstly, it’s misleading because it says best video for reducing shoulder pain or whatever and then you go on this long long discussion, explaining the scapula, the rotator cuff, etc. and then proceed to move her arm and ranges of motion. How does that help me here at home lol?

      Its not misleading as this technique helps - you need a competent therapist to do it for you - regards JG
