I would love to see a video with your thoughts on the crit changes and the challenges of balancing the windshitters, pro play and solo Q for adcs. Some of the changes the has happened though out leagues history directed at bot lane.

Sylas with Pyke or Darius's ult, being able to execute champs back to back, is the most broken ability for sylas.

This should be renamed to Sylas' favorite ultimate tier list. I feel like this video also highlighted how many passives are strong.

The ward and trinkets changes from many years ago, did numbers for the strength of teemo's ult. Shrooms up your vision while forcing the enemy team to lower their vision to combat his.
didn't they also reduce the base damage on his R quite a lot at the same time ? like, at rank 3 from 600 to 400
@@staren1991 I know they reduced the AP ratio from 80% to 50%, I don't remember the base being nerfed but I've been playing on/off.
Just a note on urgots ultimate, the execute isn't the part that makes this ability busted, it's the aoe fear on it, imagine Mundo, sylas, and every other brusier with this ultimate, you clear one target and then you can get an aoe fear on the enemy team
Yeah it's insane, especially if you are in a supress state that can be cancelled(warwick) or if you are hard CC'd and will die very fast, allows for dumb comebacks just by sniping someone
25/20% health too... that is a good chunk of damage. Just imagine this ultimate on someone like zac where he can engage and fear the entire enemy team.
There’s a reason why Urgot would flash if he’s executing someone. The massive AOE fear sending people scattering is so good
@Vars reminder, Master Yi's ultimate has a passive that resets 40% of basic ability cooldowns on take down.
Not only 40%, 70% of his remaining Cooldowns, that's pretty much why people hate Alpha Strike so much

@@VarsVerum It would also just be an insane steroid for any ADC since it gives them movement speed and attack speed, and most assassins and bruisers would love the resets, even some mages would probably like it
I think for Kennen‘s ult you forget, that the stun isn‘t part of the ult, but comes from his passive, which you wanted to distegard, as you did with brand‘s.
even without the stun, the ult deals so much damage since it deals 10% more for each successive hit
The same is true for Fiora, whose ultimate fully unlocks her passive on a target and creates a healing area around them should she fully proc it (or kill them). In Sylas' hands it shouldn't actually do anything. Similar story with him stealing basic abilities of most champs in the N/A tier (and Udyr who should be there) and Kennen's passive. So disregarding Kennen's passive is kind of a moot point, since in the context of other champions the passive is included.

Yorick: Permanently summons a sixth champion for your team who auto-farms minions and turns them into your own, boosts Yorick's own attack power, drains nearby enemy health and constantly applies on-hit effects, and can be ordered to independently splitpush a lane, forcing enemies to abandon objectives to deal with her while Yorick himself helps elsewhere.
Vars: She's weird. C tier.
The big problem is that she is the hardest summon ult to actually control. Her main goal is to push a lane, which kinda makes her a super minion. Combine this with ghouls only being able to be with either Yorick or Maiden and not both, and it seems to be more of a crutch than a buff. Of course, her ability to push out waves turns her into a macro problem for the enemy team, but she’s functionally an iron inting sion with a really long respawn timer. If you could control her the same way you can control Daisy, then she’d be absolutely busted.

Also when Sylas summons her she gives him the minions too, and i think he can take a second ult while having maiden up, so maybe vars didn't think hard enough about this one

I think Volibear's ult should be at least A tier because of the fact it disables turrets so you can tower dive without worry for a few seconds
Yeah, and let's not forget it also gives him health, does AoE damage and slow, and can be used to engage/disengage (even through walls)
I think that Poppy's ult is better than you think. The ability to knock the enemy jungler away from a drake or baron can be game changing

8:05 Blizcrack's ult also has 50-10 seconds cooldown. With ultimate hunter blitzcranck's ult has less cooldown than his Q at level 3

It also gives you on-hit magic damage while its up, which is great on champions with more attack speed, plus it also entirely breaks shields which is fantastic in some matchups like Sett
I mainly play Viego, and I remember back in Ultimate Spellbook Blitz was surprisingly one of my favorite ones to get
The answer is Malphite. Its simple, its fast, and it can decide teamfights on its own.
In situations where it does not win the fight, it will atleast be one of the best setup tools in the game for wombo combos and other followup.
This abillity is worth malphites weight in pure gold.

Used him last night in aram and got a A+ he's amazing! But the other 4 in my team were stun/shields so we destroyed them quickly
It's what I'm saying. Malphite is "no questions asked" ultimate. It is purely good at any stage. It is good for teamfights, and good for picks. It's good when you are behind, when you are equal and when you are ahead. AND it can be used to escape. It's just all-round amazing. And with some ability haste + ultimate hunter, it has a relatively low cooldown as well.

Daisy is still inconsistent AF, constantly loses targetting due to shenanigans such as stealth
My guy placed camille ult in A tier while fiddle ult in B tier
The fear on fiddle is tied to his other abilities so it is only a damage teleport
@@spencercox9317 Fiddle R is for sure S+ one of highest aoe dmg both in scale and base (750 / 1250 / 1750 (+ 250% AP)) and aoe cc 2.25 sec plus built-in 2x flash range

But fantasy wise... S. Even in old Fiddle, jump into enemy team and surprise them with your ult is still hilarious as fuck. New Fiddle adds the scared factor so it's even better. But still you can only deal full R damage as Fiddle if you hold the enemy long enough while not being cc
I think Blitz’s ulti is criminally underrated. Damage is okay but the removal of shields and silence could be huge
Especially if you're in the middle of the entire enemy team.

Yeah Blizt Ult is so underrated. Any Shielbow user, sett, mordekaiser, encharter support or anyone that likes shield is so dead.
I would have put blitz at least high a tier because you can't forget the passive. Given you don't use the active, the passive on-hit damage it gives now that it can stack infinitely would be insane on any auto attacker
It removes shields? Damn, that's crazy. I didn't know because whenever I'm either role in the bot lane, I literally ALWAYS ban Blitz... (my main sup picks are Senna, Sona, and Ziggs), no matter who I'm playing, without flash, 1 hook = certain death. It feels like an Urgot ult that executes you from 100% instead of 25%. If Samira could still E through friendly units I might consider banning someone besides a hook champ - if someone else bans Blitz, I'll ban Thresh, if both are banned then Pyke or Nautilus.
I guess I see them the same way as most top-laners view Vayne top and hate any form of ranged-top, except even more shit-flingingly irrationally. I wanna slap them through the screen haha
Pyke ult has to be S. Not only is it a reseting blink with crazy damage, it also give you teammates gold for kills.
Didn't you hear Vars's explenation? He admitted it's good, but it's about the ult in the void, by itself. Pyke's ult is so good because he has ways to guarantee he hits it. imagine this ult on let's say Urgot, it would be shit.

the worst part about bel'veth's ultimate is that, unlike viego's, it doesnt actually make you unable to take damage. So not only do you need to wait for you to have already killed someone to get your stat boost, but it leaves you vulnerable while you are trying to use it. A lot of my deaths testing her have just been someone in the enemy team killing me while I was charging my ultimate. So most of the times you cant even try using it in the middle of a team fight to get the damage of, and instead you just try to use it while no one else is around.
Viego's ultimate just makes him unstoppable, not invulnerable what makes it strong is his passive because during that he is untargettable and he also gets a reset, so the combination of viego's passive and ultimate is what is far superior to belveth's.
Viego is untargettable during ult, exception being towers (they changed that so Viego mid and top weren't as powerful)
I put cait traps when I see my allies dying to her, predicting their death location. It’s actually funny when she ult’s and take a crit headshot while being stopped in her tracks.

These videos are preety chill, they are not the same quality as your main scripted stuff but still very enjoyable. Perhaps you could do them more often like in between main videos since they don't require as much preparation. Apreciate all work that u do ❤️ keep it up man
I would enjoy having more of these live commentary videos every now and then. The only problem is that I feel like it comes across as low effort which is why I don't feel too good about doing them very often :/

However, I find this more casual format to be a bit more personal, almost like you are explaining to me directly why Teemo R is S tier. It's more of a conversation in a way (if that makes sense). Your knowledge of the game and general insight come off really well in this format and it's really neat to see. That's just my viewer perspective though. I will continue to support the channel(s) as the content is far above the status quo. Keep it up!

I agree with you on Teemo's ult, I've had games where a Teemo single-handedly doubled the game duration
I think you should make a video on on-hit items, I think it makes balancing champions and other items extremly difficult. As long as your champion can apply on-hit effects effectively, it doesn't matter if you build full tank after your core items (botrk+any other on-hit item). It also makes playing tank against them extremely miserable
I think you are underrating Blitz ult, the amount of power a silence bring on the defense as well as offensive is really good.
I rarely play sylas, but blitz ult is insane for disabling everyone when going it.
May be a bit controversial but I think if they gave Rell a grounding effect on her ult then she would be really good

If you’re gonna be consistent about the passives/other abilities counting as much, then you should probably pull Kennen’s ult down as the stun comes from his passive ala Annie.
Also I felt like a lot of people used K’santes ult for the kidnap about as much as the transformation. That’s more up for debate though.
If you could have the ults on other champs Kalistas would be one of the first picked by every engage support to save their adc. It is so strong. Also, if you're not including passives then Kennens Ult doesn't "stack" its just aoe dmg.
In my personal opinion akshan ult is the worst ultimate in the game. The shocking lack of consistency it has in exchange for the extremely marginal increase in damage in comparison to caitlyn ultimate is so stark. It says a lot when akshan players will actively try not to use their ult unless absolutely necessary, and even when they do they try to charge it as little as possible to minimize the ample counterplay

Some ults that i think she be higher up is definitely Ekko ‘s ultimate. In the hands of a less skilled player it’s kill someone then get out of Jail free card + healing on it so even if you overstayed like when you flash to late you still die, you will therefor not even be punished if you over stayed a bit. In the hands of a pro you can literally turn any fight making it one of the most broken ults out there for sure.
i love these videos! only problem is that your reasoning is sometimes inconsistent, like how illaoi ult is only good because its on illaoi, but yuumi ult is really good cause yuumi can attatch to other champs. For a 40 minute video i understand hiccups happen! Keep up the good work!

Skarner's R is amazing, glad that you put it in S tier. Imagine if any high mobility champ has it, they would easily lock down any one on the enemy team
Shyvana ult is the dragon form, not the health boost. If Sylas takes it he transforms and also gets all other Shyvana abilities. Also the fact that even for herself, her ult is the champion wasn't taken into account I think

Quinn's ultimate would work VERY well on assassins, or if you build an assassin build on Quinn herself, as the out of combat move-speed is a great roaming tool, as well as a very good gap-closer

I would put yuumi r waaaaay down since you can’t use your spells when you use it, so when we factor in that with other champs you can’t sit on an ally it just handicaps you since it dose negotiable damage and locks you from casting other spells for around 2,5 seconds or whatever it is

It's 3.5s, and only the Q is unusable during it, E and W are still usable. No wonders why I never seen any Yuumi casting Q while R-ing to catch up.
I think another metric that should be used when judging best ult is how well it fits with the rest of the champions kit
Man I've played ekko enough to safely say he's definitely not B, bro you put ahri in S. It's a hard ultimate to pull off but when you learn how to use it you can be really strong, like imagine they're chasing you you drop w behind you and ult to it when they're right there, easy triple.
Honestly, I don't know what he even is talking about. He calls Ahri's R "ready on demand", but not Kassadin's. She can cast it a few times and that's it. Kassadin even at lvl 6 can cast it every 5 seconds. Having a flash every 5 seconds is better than 3 dashes every 60 seconds.
@@THEO00900 recasting kassadin ult a lot early will nuke your mana. She has definitely a better ult early game, but his scales so much late that it just one shots so it's really unfair to say ahri's is better. I'm just mad he downplayed ekko's ult so much, i mean he probably doesn't play him and he's not a very popular champ so i understand, but it's a pretty broken ult.
Teemos level 16 version of his ult is so good ive started going Roa just to get there faster. a 900 range ward that does insane damage and has a 20~ second cd without sharing the ward cap

Ekko's ultimate should be S tier Imo because it's a free life on 30 sec cooldown that also does AOE damage
yknow what. now that im looking at this, I just remembered that there's a gamemode in that one lol copy game (mobile legends I think it was?) where you can get two ultimate, your own and a pick from 2 random ultimates
I feel like bard got a bit shafted here with going into N/A since ye all ults are pretty situational if the situation is do i miss or not. Bard ult is good for zoning, protecting allies, catching enemies and towerdiving but if it's just N/A because it can be used poorly means most ults are N/A, Trynd ult is useless if you use it out of combat.
Ever heard of ultimate spell book, I agree mostly but I'd say Quinn r has alot of pressure and makes any split pusher 10 times more dangerous, Jax can take 2 towers bot quin r then appear at baron 20 seconds later

Master yi R pasive gives 70% cooldown on basic habilitys on takedown, i feel like alot of champs would love that
The only two I disagree with is fiddle and rell.
Fiddles ult is at least as good as kennen’s if not better, as it includes a teleport, so you don’t have to rely on external mobility like flash or rocket belt to use it effectively.
Rell ult has a situation where it’s better than amumu ult and those like it, that being when the enemy team has large amounts of tenacity. Since rells ult is a displacement it isn’t affected by tenacity, when makes it better at peeling or engaging on low mobility champs like Darius, garen, etc.
Definitely would bump up Shaco's ult to upper A or lower S. The ability to double your AA dmg output while making engagers wary of diving towards a clone for the fear debuff. Its got the offense and mental defense
As a fiddle main i feel insaulted this ability is literrly his whole kit and has so many aplications

I think voli should be as high, if not higher than nasus. While both are essentially just steroid ults, voli ult has a short dash that also deals really good dmg, and disables a tower for a bit.
To be honest if we are truly not considering de passive of the champ for the tier list Fiora's should be on D tier as the only thing that it itself does is the healing at the end, all the damage comes from the passive and not gonna lie a Hana ult with out the knockback that is really awkward to trigger doesn't sound that good
I remember when zeri released and you could infinitely stack her ult and ppl ran around practice tool with 4k move speed
Liked the video! Only thing I didn’t like about it is the concept if If its good for all champs. I mean we talking about a specific champ then how the ult works with that champions passive should be a bonus not a negative in my opinion like brands ulti for example. Other than that great content!
Ahri actually relies on her passive to get extra stacks, so getting extra dashes is not applicable to anyone but her. However, I'd say that even with just 3 dashes it is still universally good enough to be S. Like almost everyone uses flash, and then imagine you have 3 extra flashes that also deal some dmg. Ahri's main weakness is her w and partly her q. E is fantastic and R is amazing. Q can be a great source of dmg+true dmg IF you hit both. W however is mostly good for finishing off enemies, or executing minions but it is lacking in overall dmg.
Ahri may not be the strongest champion in terms of gamechanging teamfight mechanics, or pure dmg. But she has THE most fun ult in the game, as well as it being very powerful and versatile.
Bel veth ultimate also deal true damage and heals you, going AP bel is always fun
Why dont you use the grid version and have it be (Good in ki vs bad in kit)and then(Good in vaccum vs bad)?

Excuse me, I won’t have any slander on poppy’s ultimate. It may not have damage or massive aoe, but it, like the rest of her kit, is wonderfully versatile and can be used well as a tank, a bruiser, a carry and an anticarry.
so i have an argument for yoricks ult being at least b while it can be kinda inconsistent it passively creates ghouls as part of the ability itself and it targets what you auto, it is also ranged so it stays safer and is infinite duration plus it gives you a burst of percent max hp magic damage every couple of seconds. i legitimatly feel like it is the most consistant of the summon ults

realistically sylas is the best but its entirely based on their team + they also have the ult so its kinda even
I honestly hope they pull an Aatrox on Tryndamere. Give him a solid redesign that keeps a few of his core features and then slowly phase them out because they can't balance them properly on the reworked version.

I think Kayle's (current) Ultimate is high B-Tier, the Ultimate is good at Rank 3, however before getting to level 16 it does mediocre damage, invulnerability is way too short and the cooldown is unnecessarily long.
Every champion in A-Tier is a threat the minute they receive their Ultimate at level 6 because it's that good, causing your opponents to become more careful and reduce their aggression, that doesn't count for Kayle.
I agree with most of these to a fair degree, but I feel like you underestimated Rakan’s ult SOOOO hard, its an insane engage, an insane disengage, and really good cc. Its crazy, literally every champion would love having this. I cannot think of a single class that wouldnt want Rakan’s ult. This is easily a top 5 Ult in the game

i think you should have just ranked the ultimates bassed on the champion that owns it, and not on if other champs would the want the ult or not.

Yeah I tried making zoe ult work in ultimate spell book... It's just so weirdly specifically good on her and not very many other champions, honestly the funniest example I can think of off the top of my head would be singed, zoe ult forward and yoink someone sounds pretty hilarious, but beyond that it's like... "Do you like _temporary_ mobility?" And who actually cares about that specifically _beaides_ zoe?

idk if it's just me but Cass's ult is just so unwieldy. The main flaw for me is the ridiculously long start-up that allows most experienced players to turn in time. It's great when you can flash (300s cd anyways) or hide in the bush or fog for surprise (the short and unclear range makes that unreliable most times though.)
Not even experienced, it happens on silver on EUW very often since the animation is so clear(not to mention she stops spamming E which means she is doing something else)
@@fitmotheyap right, unfortunately I think she walks a fine like with being broken cause if that ult comrs out instantaneously for example she'd be very op. She already has one of the best basic skills in her W, so I think adding venom passive to the ult or shortening the startup time a bit wouldn't hurt.
Honestly I think Fiora should be in N/A because it requires her passive to work and that’s not attached to the ultimate itself.

I strongly disagree on Shyvana. You get a lot more than "just a bit of health" from her dragon form. It's a hard engage, it can pull enemies into tower range or teamfights, it massively enhances her kit, which you said you'd factor into your consideration and all that on top of the "little bit of health" you get.

Amumu instant massive Aoe stun and dmg, regardless of patch, will forever be S+ tier and you cant tell me otherwise.
Good list overall, though I would've included the champions' kits into the criteria because you were pretty inconsistent on that front: Annie getting C-tier and Kenne S-tier, when both are designed to work with their respective passives, and likewise bumping GP down a tier because you chose not to include his Silver Serpents, is all a bit unfair in my eyes.
Also, the fact you _sometimes_ included the criteria, "How much would another champion want this ult?" but _not for every entry_ was pretty weird. Like, I don't think LeBlanc deserves _S-tier_ on the basis of, "if another champion had this ult, it would be broken."
Keep the focus on "how well does this work in a team fight/how game-changing can this be?", while still keeping the rest of their kits, and their kits alone, in the back of your mind.

I feel ekko ult should be a tier, the lack of total control is annoying but it can literally oneshot squishies and is a get out of jail free card on a 30 seconds cd in the late game
