BHAKTI BROPHY from what I know, it didn't. Originally this was supposed to be the song, but was replaced with "So-La" because it was more easily accompanied by guitar.
I just watched a rerun of season 5 episode 16 where Abby ( Betty Buckley) sings this song on a telethon. The words are very Spiritual and it reminds me of inner child healing work ( ACA 12 step)

Yes it did air on Eight is Enough. It aired during the final season. The title of the show has Telethon in it. It is a beautiful song!
