Finally got the chance to watch the video , I have been on the road since 10 am yesterday , just got home from Texas about 40 minutes ago . that thing looks great , quality build 👍🏻👍🏻. Ok I'm going to bed now , I'm beat . Night and God Bless
That's awesome that you guys are building something headed to SEMA. That's one of the things on my bucket list. Can't wait to see what the finished project looks like.
So nice. You guys are working hard and it looks beautiful. If your nervous about taking press fit parts and making it slide in easier by changing the tolerances I wouldn't worry too much. Sometimes things get a little too tight after welding even when we're careful and rotate and wait they can still get way too tight. Like trying to park a Cadillac in a dog house. I do it myself on occasion. I haven't had a problem in about 30 years of fabrication. I'd say the danger of premature wear/failure is only theoretical 😉. Keep up the good work we're all waiting to see that bad boy run. Thanks for putting a spotlight on my favorite hobby btw it's so nice to watch and learn from other experienced craftsman.
Wow.... from hopping up Kandi 150 to this amazing custom build, your shop growing, the tool stash is growing.... Great work, keep it up please !! I really need to get one of those tables....💞
That thing looks pretty tough. I would call it made for some Gravy Bones. Would love to see you and Grayson working on a build like this together. Keep praising God.
Please don't forget to support the rear cylinder. There is normally a mount between the heads. I'm a sportster freak. If it's not supported, you will end up with a base gasket leak really fast.
Sweet Build Greg! Right nice & professional. I've been enjoying your show for years! Keep up the great work & may the Lord keep blessing ya'll real good, pressed down, shaken together & running over kind of good, Amen!
Use the “green” sleeve loctite to help keep the bearing from spinning in the hub and spindle till your ready for the permanent design when u can press em in.
This all day, there needs to be a press fit so the outer race doesn't spin in the housing if not then the bearings won't be doing bearing things properly. You could end up destroying your new bearing adapters and trailing arms because of that poor fit, the hardened race of the bearing will chew up that DOM if it spins.
I love the Harley cross kart build and the trailing arms are the best set up I've seen yet I used to be a fab welder but I am disabled with stage 4 cancer and can't do much now so I watch utube love your channel and look forward to future builds peace out brother
It’s awesome that your using over the counter parts! But you will be going through bearings and hubs! They are a press fit for a reason!!! I hope they last! But awesome build none the less!! Can’t wait to see and hear it moving under it’s own power!!
When you build a buggy you are taking bearings in and out so I didn't want it to be a press fit because of the headache it would add. When I get a rear suspension design that is tried and tested I will make them press fit until then it will work just fine.
Don't need a big press fit. Just need to be hard of slide in with hand like -.0001 +0.0000 slide fit it's perfect. Just use loctite if something goes wrong.
OMG!!! Amazing project!!!! I'm probably more exited than when I was waiting for 670cc supercharged one!!! Amazing work Greg, hope your project will blow everybodys mind on SEMA!
Looks great. Lathe and mill will pay for themselves fast making custom whatever you can dream up. Been waiting for someone to put an H-D engine on one of these buggies or bikes or 3 wheelers, 2 in front of course. Worked amf H-D in early 80's 8 months bought super glide
So dope! You do professional work. I have been watching for a long time now and I'm not one to comment much. In just the last 2 years your skills have become so polished. Congrats on the Sema build. So many people dream of doing a Sema build. Rob
Folks bearings are designed to be pressed in for a reason, they will rotate and wear what they rotate in, and instant presto now you have expensive scrap. Also those weenie little hub brackets for the trailing arms need to be much thicker.
I love reading all the Comments and the Replies at the videos, but clicked something last night that took that out.I can't even ask for help,as a name shows, but no comments, not even mine. How's That for irony?Happy Trails everyone.

Seeing the tubing bender needed for some of that big stuff would be interesting. I reckon RBG would get real good at those bigger builds. He has a head for it.
I took a 883 and did the 1275 kit from Hammer performance and took it from 48 hp to 110hp and they offer a 125hp kit as well. It’s real and it’s insane. For a NA motor.they offer different packages. 80+-90+-100+-110+-120+ hp kits. I did the 100hp+ package and dyno out at 111hp 88ftlbs and next dyno day I should have more ftlbs had to wait on cpl things
Those 883 motors are short on power. 30 years ago I did a 1200 conversion and the difference was night and day. The 1275 kits are even more impressive.
You have come a long way from working on Mini bikes , this is an awesome build ! I first tuned in to your channel along time ago because I bought my Grandson a Coleman Mini bike . All the best to your success !
i was talking to my buddy about finding a wrecked m109r and doing a cross cart / buggy using a ford escape rear end because they are fully independent rear suspension
You have some nice skills building frames. Hope you guys up the horse power from that sporty motor, better clutch, oil cooler .maybe a good turbo.. seams like the cage weight is growing..keep up the cool builds
Whoa. Probably not the best idea to explain that time's ticking down but your going to complete as much as "Possible"? Uh Red, this is ((SEMA)) it has to be complete. And surely everyone will see this as an attack. No. I've been subbed from day one and really want Red and family to succeed. But the reality is, not many get this opportunity. This could be a real make it or break it situation. This could take RGB to the next level. And I'd like to see that happen for them. Keep it up. Looking good
Hey red beard just out of concern for everyone just wanted to let you know that the light from welding can still damage the eyes if they have them closed. You can always get shaded safety glasses for those occasions when people have to help you hold parts for you to weld. Love the buggy by the way though.
Wow! Sick build, guys! That's going to be a mean machine for sure! I watch a bunch of youtubers that make great crosskarts and I gotta ask, why not add doors? Homemade crosskarts seem like they are hard to get in and out of. Yours looks like it may be tough as well. Do you plan on changing out the cross bar after it's welded? You could always put some bends in it to make it easier to enter and exit the vehicle. For safety, you always need to consider how fast you can get out of the vehicle.
Hey idk If this your actually gonna read this but the miata bearings and spindles are meant to be press fits so you don't spin a bearing race. It might be better to make the knuckle removable from the whole trailing arm so it can maintain the press fit and still be maintained.
This is literally the only one I've seen, everyone else uses sportbike, atv, or 2 stroke engines. Harley's have a terrible reputation for anyone under 40.
I wonder if you will need to change the jugs and pistons to make it a 1200cc those 883cc Harley’s don’t have much guts that’s a lot of weight when all done, 883cc is normally a beginners bike or ladies bike, you will need a stage 1 at the very least. Good luck nice build👍
!!!!! Gussets are a must !!!!!!
The quality of your work blows away a certain other channel that also does go-kart and mini bike builds. Keep of the great projects.
that seigmund table is really flexing its muscles on this build. so awesome

Love the new training arm design! I am a big fan of the off the shelf axles as well.

Please don't forget to support the rear cylinder. There is normally a mount between the heads. I'm a sportster freak. If it's not supported, you will end up with a base gasket leak really fast.
this thing is going to be sick id love to see the 1450 kit dropped on the 883 bottom end and really get this thing slaying tires
Dang, one day go carts....next day real deal cross carts! Good for you!

I’m pumped to see this build in person at sema this year love seeing all the builds and this ones no exception
Don’t ever doubt yourself ! You got some mad skills and so do those around you. Just for today stick with the winners 😉😎

Also that hub is supposed to be pressed into the inner race so it doesn't spin in the race. So much wrong with that whole bearing set up.

He could tack in the bearings with the tig... but yes press fit is proper .001 a inch correct
Man this things is shaping up great.
Easily upgraded motor as well. A set of new jugs gives you a 1200, and the options are endless for that. Awesome build
Best looking crosskart on the internet by a long shot! It'll be a while before anyone can top this. Great job brother!🤘

Love seeing those blonde lashes building stuff and looking happy doing it! Can’t wait to see this thing rip
Love how you did those trailing arms how they bend close to the frame to make it more slim that's bad ass man 👏👍
She is coming together nicely 👍👍 very cool
A black Thunderheader would be bad ass and sound amazing plus add some torque
That rear CV setup is slick!
them trailing arms look very good I love the design
Anyone else equally as excited for when he gets bored later and does the Hammer Performance 1275 big bore kit?
I have one in my garage. Hope he goes for it
Need to put a thunderheader on that motor when it s exhaust time. 💪🏻🇺🇲
Looking good brother! God bless you and your family ♥
It’s awesome that your using over the counter parts! But you will be going through bearings and hubs! They are a press fit for a reason!!! I hope they last!
But awesome build none the less!! Can’t wait to see and hear it moving under it’s own power!!
I see this alot, with UA-camrs building hubs. Bearing just falling in.
This could allow the Bearing to spin, where it shouldn't be spinning. Lol

@@RedBeardsGarage fair enough. Tbh your buggy isn't driving 200k miles either. So probably will be just fine! Great build as always.

These types of bearings are sealed and have inner and outer races they rotate in. As long as the CV axle nut is torqued to spec it will be just fine.
its probably gonna be a trailar queen . all that thick wall tube gotta weigh a ton with all of 40 hp it will be a trud
You've came a long way ! Keep doing what you love!

It's going to be a wicked machine.
Will be interesting to see how the 883 performs in the kart. I suspect it will be underwhelming.
Imagine this thing getting all the necessary items to be street legal!
Heck yeah can't wait to hear that thing me and my family love watching your channel
I can only imagine how much torque that thing is going to have in 1st with that huge rear sprocket
That's one boss looking chassis, you should run a production of a few of those, I want to build an electric kart ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
HD build I'm liking it!😎🇺🇸

You can always get shaded safety glasses for those occasions when people have to help you hold parts for you to weld. Love the buggy by the way though.
They're adults and can make their own choices 👍
Whenever people weld with just their eyes closed, it's to perform a tack weld. Which takes 1 second. He's fine
Wow people just showing some concern
Number 9 heck yeah!!

This thing going to have body panels?
God bless you too brother.
I was glad when they said to me" let's us go unto the house of Red Beard"" hahahah. Wicked wild and awesome build.
I wanna see u and rather b wielding build a cart together some day
If its for sema u guyz have to put air bags in it....1st place 🏆

How did you design the chassis and sort out the geometry?
You guys need to sell just the IDS Hub Parts!…For ppl like myself who don’t have a lathe…I’d buy a set today!
If you were to sell those Miata bearing cups, I'd imagine a fella could make a few bucks on them! I'd definitely buy a couple sets.
heck yeah you could i would buy a few
given its all pretty much out there with porsh 944 stuff
I just got a Coleman mini bike, any tips to make it a little more powerful at home?
Tq converter kit. It'll make you much faster with 0 power gains.
