    Nice quad! It sure pays to keep one clean. Here in Kentucky where I live we have clay dirt. Once that stuff drys on a machine it’s almost impossible to get the residue/film that the clay dirt leaves behind off.

    Always make sure to oil your chain before each ride, this prevents stiff chains and maybe even a snapped chain, Just go to your local walmart or something, and get chain wax, what we do is we put our raptors up on blocks, put it in gear and spray the chain

At the time I was wanting something more unique and Rossier wasn’t as popular as it is now so I decided to try them out. Plus the shorty mufflers are a little louder and I wanted a bit more sound lol I always tell people to pick their favorite exhaust based on sound or cosmetics since all the pipes are pretty comparable for performance gains. Pretty much the same here.
    After the wash, the whole quad gets air-dryed with compressor and then lubricated in any part that has movement. That's how the bearings, rubbers and even cables get an extended life.

      Jon Maser those things look pretty awesome. I have yet to make home washing investment. I do like how the mess can stay at the public wash and you don’t have to put anything away. Do you use an electric washer?

    • @2017mase
      @2017mase 4 роки тому +1

      @@PeteHager that's very true about the mess. My driveway slopes down to street so isn't bad or I've seen people was them on the grass as well. I currently have an Excell gas pressure washer I bought off Amazon when I purchased my house a few years ago.

    Hand wash is the only way. My last step is spray the entire bike with foam tire shine and wipe it down again + WD40 and a tooth brush if needed.

    • @PeteHager

      Travis Strickland you put WD40 on your wipe down towel?? I’ve never used a tire shine product on my quad before 😲

      1. Tire shine on enitre quad, plastics and engine. Wipe down entire quad with dry towel and or paper towel.
      2. WD40 spray on a tooth brush or the exact area needed and then scrub with the tooth brush. Same wipe down method as above.
      Give it try and let us fans know what you think. 🤘🤘

    Anyone that lives or rides in real muddy coal dirt etc my tips are get napa version aluminum brighter (has to be Napa version) it has acids in it that eats the mud spits away. Not harmful for wires hoses etc. I use that on motor sprockets rims and basically just spray it on and leave it set for like 20-30 seconds rinse or pressure wash don’t matter. That helps if u have spots that don’t come clean even tho u scrubbed it. And if u ever notice plastics that don’t come clean only look clean when they are wet mine where like that to. Car tire foam on the plastics and hoses and wires. I spray it on the plastics a quick coat then wipe them and they look wet and clean all the time makes cleaning easier! And hoses I spray and put a quick coat on and leave it go l. Soap don’t matter car soap dawn dish soap don’t matter! Give it a shot

    i usually grab 2 squirt bottles from lowes and use about 10oz of simple green, 8 ox of degreaser 88 and a heavy squeeze of dawn dish soap and fill the rest of bottle with water. squirt it on, let sit for about 10min, sprasy a 2nd coat again and then rinse off with water and comes out spot free since the chemicals do all the work. takes me no more than 20min
