Lol starter went out on mine and I didn’t have the money to repair it, and warriors don’t have mechanical start. I leaned how to bump start it by myself, but it’s really dangerous and I don’t recommend It.
@@jaydenramos378 i usually find flat ground or a slight downhill area, put it in 2nd gear while stopped and make sure it’s popped in, then I stand on the left side holding the clutch with everything turned on, and you just push as fast as you can. If it’s harder ground, just dump the clutch, if it’s loose dirt you may have to jump in the quad then dump the clutch to get the the grip to start it.
I live in Mankato, snowmobiles are definitely fun but we rarely have enough snow for them.. thats why I don't have one. I may get the 4snow's out on the Raptor soon!
I love my raptor more than my Ski doo. BUT I can literally cover the entire upstate ny on a snowmobile all on trails. Can go anywhere, only difference for me.
You should go to Saint Joe State Park in Missouri. It is a free for all ride park with mud, rocks, tracks, steep hills, and jumps it might be a little far for you but trust me, it will be worth it.

that raptor have the same Tall Tire setup on my machine ,but my rear and front has different spikes because its too hard to find atv tires here in the Philippines and honestly I have no Idea that this kind of setup was cool, I was too worried because its not a standard size anymore 😆
One of my favorite places to ride, I like the single track loop that’s up the road. The first track you went on is closed now, farmer guy didn’t like all the noise I suppose lol. Still a big variety of terrain to rip on.
I’ve owned 87 fourtrax 250r and a built banshee for the dunes but if if we’re to buy a quad today it would be a raptor. Rode a friends 700 raptor a while back and it was nice.

Pete Hagar, you really need to come to southern Ohio and ride the trails in Wayne National Forest. Theres 145 miles of trails, from mild to wild. We usually have a group of 4-6 people go riding. I've only been riding for a couple months, and it was the first real trails I've ridden and rolled a 400EX 15 minutes off the trailer, then rode for 6 more hours. Had the time of my life and been hooked ever since. Just picked up my own Yamaha Warrior and going back later this month and can not WAIT to ride it on a 4 wheeler that fits me a lot better as a smaller rider.
So cool that you loved the 400ex experience and picked up your own warrior! I actually learned how to ride clutch on a warrior. Hopefully we make it over to Ohio to try some riding eventually. I have a never ending amount of places to check out so we just have to ride smart and we'll get there someday 😊🤘

Some sand pits and an atv/snowmobile club about a half hr north with their own trials called Tug Hill. I have an 03 raptor and a group of friends with sport quads. My wife hates you by the way, especially the days I'm leaning towards buying a brand new raptor 😆 🤣. I'm in snowmobile season right now, you should try it out.

Hey Pete, question. In general when you are pretty far away from home (Minnesota) how do you work out sleeping etc & a safe place for your quad over night when you do big road trips....
Fortunately my parents have a place in Sheboygan Wi and I’m able to stay there when I’m in that area. Thankfully I’ve made several contacts in the last couple years that have let me crash at their place. Otherwise I’ll find local cheap hotels or air BnB’s. I’m not really into camping 😅
IF you wanna do rock climbing / riding /and a wicked stepped hill climb, hit up AOAA (PA) , MOSTLY rock/rocky trails , Technical !!! Might want the 22x11 9 and 23s up front , helps with clearance, specially at AOAA
I think depending on what brand of spacer you buy and how you use your machine they can work okay. I wouldn’t go very wide with them. The increased width can cause extra stress on the stock components since there’s more leverage in extreme situations. If your jumping regularly or really pounding your machine hard they may not be the best option. However if your primarily on the ground riding smooth terrain or drag racing there isn’t a ton of risk. Obviously a wider axle and arms are expensive so I chose 1 inch spacers on a budget. I hope to have the front suspension and a arms replaced with aftermarket parts this season 🤞👍
I'm only 5'10 so I fit on there pretty well. The Raptor definitely has a higher center of gravity when compared to 450's. If you push it beyond it's limits it has a better chance of rolling compared to some machines. I don't like to get it too sideways. I've high sided and flipped off twice 😅 🤦♂️
The raptor sounds better and better every time I tune in bro! I always love listening and seeing big power machines that “Jay motors” are known for!! You being a great rider is all the better for the “flex” u give off to all viewers and people u ride with! Good work bra’!!
you say you like rocks, Steedman Missouri has a atv park down there, 15$ to get in has a couple rock trails, and some things you dont wanna do on a quadbike haha, its mostly a sxs or jeep park but the old guy down there has some nice spots to open her up on. if your interested look up vandyze atv park, also learned to keep a tow kit for myself there, couple deep ruts from 4x4's so much so that i almost accidentally drowned my raptor in 1 haha
I've heard Missouri has plenty of rocks! I would love to get down to that region this upcoming season. I'll make a note of those parks and maybe I'll be able to check them out!

I have 23 it xcr on the front and 22 in the back when I am trail riding. I have a Honda 450r. They are great tires for the woods. And it saves your mx wheels and tires and keeps miles off them
if u want an mx course steep hills pretty muddy jumps a drag strip and want to have a ton of fun just come to majestic trails in Bradford pa it might be far for u peter but trust me it’s worth it
@@danielvinyard4948 Yeah i sold it because of battery and starter issues.The 04-05 are kick and have a beefier transmission and hold more oil let alone you dont have to worry about the starter and battery taking a dump on you.But performance wise i did notice the 06+ were a little bit faster but 04-05 are still more reliable hands down thats why the majority of the baja racers go with that platform.
hey guys, i’m going to be picking up a yfz 450, 2004 in a few days. any specific things i should look for? it has the oil mod done to it supposedly. not sure how to check. what’s the deal with black on the outside of the exhaust pipe? bad head gasket? burning oil? drop some comments please. your feedback helps. let me know

Those quads are registered. I’ve never seen those here in Florida.
Each state handles registration differently. Not many require license plates but they do up here in Minnesota and Wisconsin

I have 23 it xcr on the front and 22 in the back when I am trail riding. I have a Honda 450r. They are great tires for the woods. And it saves your mx wheels and tires and keeps miles off them
if u want an mx course steep hills pretty muddy jumps a drag strip and want to have a ton of fun just come to majestic trails in Bradford pa it might be far for u peter but trust me it’s worth it

@@danielvinyard4948 Yeah i sold it because of battery and starter issues.The 04-05 are kick and have a beefier transmission and hold more oil let alone you dont have to worry about the starter and battery taking a dump on you.But performance wise i did notice the 06+ were a little bit faster but 04-05 are still more reliable hands down thats why the majority of the baja racers go with that platform.

hey guys, i’m going to be picking up a yfz 450, 2004 in a few days. any specific things i should look for? it has the oil mod done to it supposedly. not sure how to check. what’s the deal with black on the outside of the exhaust pipe? bad head gasket? burning oil? drop some comments please. your feedback helps. let me know
The GBC tires are hard to beat for the money and you see a lot of gncc pros running them
They definitely seem to be the most popular tires these days. I’m excited to try something else and compare them. The XC masters blow my mind with their durability. Mine still have 50% tread left on the back over 2 seasons
@@PeteHager I have xc master rear front and ground buster rears and love them and do you plan on ever coming to a gncc

I think they’re fantastic. I have very limited 2 stroke experience but I absolutely love how they look and sound. I was going to ride Mike Sabo’s at Silver Lake last season but he was having fuel issues. Hopefully this year I’ll finally try one out 😬🤞
