For me, PEI is the best place to live after retirement. It is so calm, make me relax... I have been 4 times (and I came in Canada 13 years ago! You're right about beaches and food... sooo goood!
I can see that! Is that where you're going to retire? I also met a younger family who bought a restaurant there, work every single day for 6 months and then travel the world for 6 months of winter :)
Canada is, according to me, the most beautiful country on earth...I am working hard right now so that I can retire in 2040...Once I retire, I will travel the whole country...There's lot more thing to see in Canada.
@@MustDoCanada it's true...But, I will visit all parts of Canada...If I retire at the age of 40, I will get more than 15 years to roam around the whole world...
My Father was born in PEI Charlotte Town to be precise he passed 3 months ago am leaving to visit PEI in a month to honour him R.I.P. Father love you and miss you
Must Do Canada 2 year visa but planning on the big move :) I'm wanting to backpack the east coast first. Spend maybe 6-9 weeks travelling around. Would I have problems in Quebec and Nova Scotia if I can't speak French? Thanks in advance
Perhaps in Quebec would be an issue but nowhere else. New Brunswick is actually the only officially bilingual province whereas Quebec is primarily french. But yeah, Quebec would be the only place that not speaking French, especially if trying to find work, would be a challenge.
Thank you so much! That means a lot and we do hope you make it here someday. We actually hope to make it to Argentina one day too. Maybe we can trade :)
One thing that should be mentioned is the absolutely beautiful golf courses. We go every two years just to go golfing and sightseeing. Best in the world.
I remember first time when i watched this video I couldn't understand anything they're talking about. Now, I understand the half. Hahaha... Still dealing with my English skills
I went to Prince Edward Island back in 1986 with my husband. His family is from there. We had to take the ferry across because the Confederation bridge hadn't been built yet. I wanted to move there, but he wanted to return to Ontario.
I was fortunate to be born on PEI. I now live in beautiful Vancouver. I still long to see my island home once again. I just don't think it is going to happen.
Must Do Canada no...I would enjoy the trip. It just cost so much and I wasn't smart enough to save for something like that. At 74 living on a small pension just doesn't allow for that.
Ahh I see. Yeah, it is far. Farther than Mexico from Vancouver. One thing I would recommend is points. 25,000 Aeroplan points could get you a return trip, although there's still the costs of visiting...
I'm exceptionally inspired and have honestly my whole life wanted to go to PEI. Before solidifying a trip, I want to ensure I have solid plans. I understand that I'd have to fly into YYG. If anyone has any suggestions on finding a hotel or inn for example either in PEI or Charlottetown or a nearby proximity that shares an awesome view of the beach/coastline and serves some mouthwatering, flavorful food? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Also, I'd prefer to be near the Green Gables exhibits, as I plan on spending a lot of time near that area touring. Thank you. 🙂
@Ginger You sound like a really angry person with lots of trauma. If anything, we'd recommend a visit to PEI where, hopefully, the sounds of the waves crashing into the shoreline will bring some peace to your grumpy life. Take care!
@@MustDoCanada Ginger, This isn't intended to be a post to tear the video creator apart (or throw insults). I was simply commenting so that maybe future videos will not have the same issue as I'm truly interested in this stuff. The video quality itself is sublime - the audio was an issue (For me). Regardless, this video is great and I should have given praise in my original comment. My apologies for not doing so!

Crap place very cruel and like to back stab, lived there Si x horrible years, yes it looks nice but the people aren't they don't like outsiders, with the pandemic lots of people from Ontario moved there, they were ripping the licenses plates off their cars ,if from there no problem,if not think twice, absolutely horrible, nearly died of depression and loneliness,no one talks to you, very unfriendly place, remember these people are paid too tell you lies about the place like it great, yea right take from someone who lived there not on some holiday, don't go take my word for it you will be sorry, want a truly nice place to go,go to Newfoundland 1000 times better,. ,

Painfully boring. You know when 50% of a video on what to do is just about cooking a meal, you're in for a dull trip. Be nice to see for a week I guess.
Idk if you’re from the island or what, but there’s so many hidden gems you never get to see in these videos. It always “beaches, cooking, Anne!!” Which is fun but there’s so many more things than that.
macmacleod 413 Yes, I was a bit hard on the place when it comes to vacations. Lovely beaches, and nice green farmland. It's a good place for a very relaxing week. Ive spent quite a lot of time, since the family moved there for a year, and I travelled there several times. During the winter it's pretty dead. And for a place that's so country, there's no hunting, little fishing, camping, skiing, etc etc..... just closed for the season farms. BUT, I will miss the place in the summer a bit.
