    I agree, the biddle is one of the best impromptu trick because it seems so impossible. Thanks man!

      is this trick called biddle? or what do you mean by biddle?

      @@slowdown_ I'm referring to the biddle grip which one of the most powerful impromptu tricks is achieved. Alex pandrea and Steven hammer has vids on it too

    Small tip for when you have the deck split and ask them to pick one half: If they pick the 'wrong' half ask them if they are "Sure that is the one they want?" and then slide it over to them or even hand it to them and tell them to hold onto it for the time being as the trick involves both halves. When people pick something they tend to expect it to be used and this gives them a stronger impression that you are fairly honoring their choice.

    • @chrisbaier6252
      @chrisbaier6252 4 роки тому +3

      J Baxter Yes, that makes it seem they chose that half for a reason. And it also distracts them a bit because they are occasionally thinking of that half of the deck. Can also do it if the pick the ‘right’ half, you say “ok, I will take the half you have chosen, you take the other half”.

    For the reveal, PLEASE spread the cards face up. It hits harder to see one card face down and then everyone watches you turn over that one card, rather than spreading the cards and people notice it on their own time.

    This is such a classic. So many variations but the more natural you make this look, it’s hard to beat. Simple, impromptu, direct and impossible ending. That’s ideally how simple all tricks with powerful endings should be 🤔

  • @RobertGamble1650
    @RobertGamble1650 5 років тому +1

    My variation is to control the card to the second from the bottom. Then, after cutting the deck and using the magician's force, I say that I'm looking for their selection by picking out 5 cards I think they could be. So I spread through the cards face down, kind of feel a few cards and pick out 5 with the third card being the second from the bottom. I actually find it more natural to do it that way than controlling to the top. I've experimented with saying that the cards I'm picking out were the ones closest to the selected card in the deck after I put it back in following the spectator choosing it (as well as the spectator's card itself) but am not overly happy with how it sounds when I do that so I usually leave that latter embellishment out.

    Very cool and clean trick, id go for false swing cut instead of the undercut, to my mind the uc is more of an obvious control than the swing, and put back the pile after showing the 5 cards when the spectator says yes, otherwise he already knows that u know that his card was right there :)

    It's a cool trick, but as a magician it's kinda easy to see what's going on. Also, in the end I like it to have them hold on to the cards, but not sandwiching them, so you can turn and transfer the card in an invisible way to make it end up in the big pile. But that's all my opinion, I like your version as well!

    I did this trick once in a party, but for the reveal, i added something just so it had some more flashyness to it.
    I had a hit of vape, blow the smoke in the spectator's hand, and i got a friend to get that smoke and blow it in the deck. So that way i said, "this vape, is magical, it can make some cards teleport. Your card, just went from your hand to the deck through the smoke" and it was mental

    After counting those 5 cards again I like to do a card vanish before showing that there are only 4 cards left.
    It's a cool and easy way to spice it up a bit and you get a good reaction aswell.

    • @chrisbaier6252
      @chrisbaier6252 4 роки тому

      Good idea. Could shake the 5 cards and say their card will jump into the deck. So that explains why there are only 4 cards. Wondering if there is a way to pick up a 6th card, so at the end there are 5 cards, but the chosen card has disappeared into the deck.

    I do this trick a lot, but I use a double lift on the cards, I give them 5 card instead of 4. But I do a double lift to pull 6cards off, slide the chosen under the half deck, and give it too them to hold on too, and I tell them to use both hands to hold on it to tightly, and give another person the 5card, and act like I'm magically moving the card to the big deck. I get big reactions. It's fun to see them freak out that I switch 2card out, and the chosen is turned the opposite direction to the others.

    Nice trick! Two critiques: 1) Your cutting the cards to control the selection to the top looks too quick and very suspicious. Don't run when no one is chasing you. Perhaps another control would be better. 2) As already mentioned, for the final reveal, spread the cards face up and then reveal the selection. It's much more mysterious and makes for important final beat.

After I knew it was on top I was able to follow the card the entire time and even saw u put it on the bottom of the deck in then into the middle before u explained how u solved it. Try to find something a bit more discrete because it gives away the whole trick, but other than that, I thought u did a good job overall
