This video is an insert story of the creator's "Touhou x Star Trek" series. I decided to translate this one because it really stuck out to me, offering a darker story, but heart-warming nonetheless. Also, it was sweet of Patchouli to call Murasa by her first name at the end. Happy Valentine's Day!

Murasa is such an underused character in Touhou stories. Love these videos as always.

All the time seeing Touhou MMD's mostly centering around the comedy sides keeps making me forget that the Touhou verse is originally a batshit dark one (Being basically a Haven for the lost and forgotten ones, while being a human farm for sustenance for the Youkai living there, and horrible dark shit involving people who normally deal with the matter of Youkais and monsters). This short is one of those reminders.

Now that I think about it, something being bright and comedic or dark and tragic kinda depends on how you look at it. Touhou works is not an exception; the nature of them also depends on your perspective and/or how the authors want you to interpret their works. So it's not wrong to regard Touhou as either light-hearted or tragedy.

not gonna lie, the star trek flashback scene was hilarious.
overall great story. i haven’t really seen many stories that remind people that youkai attack humans out of instinct.
