@@nlv9848 I have to admit though that the album has a decent song "Crave," which truly soars. I actually feel that this time, Madonna collaborating with a young artist did not come across as a cynical way of getting young audiences' attention. I feel that her joining forces with Swae Lee works beautifully as a musical piece.

Remember when her vocals used to sound so raw and barely touched in albums like Erotica and Like a Prayer, where she basically recorded her vocals in one or two takes..nothing overproduced, now she sounds so fake

Madonna does not need money.
In fact it's clear that the album is running at a huge loss.
The theatre tour may be different, but she has actually kept the prices low, and unless she adds an arena-stadium leg (possible), it won't make huge sums (ok, true, she gets 50% of the record sales and a whopping 90% of concert tickets, so she ends up making a killing every time - much more than what people think).
The problem for new artists is colossal.
Record sales are virtually non existent and if you want a fairly profitable tour you need to be established already, which means that starting is difficult.
Record companies are simply not investing in new talent and their profits are minimal compared to the past so they will almost invariably choose cheesey middle of the road acts rather than innovative ones.
The very fact tha streams are FAKE and bougt in most cases adds another cost to the act promotion, which puts newcomers and especially innovative newcomers at a disadvantage...
