I was at a job interview in my twenties at the local arboretum. They asked me what my favorite perennial was and I said Salvia…..the next question was what was my favorite annual and I laughed a little and said, well, Salvia!! The interview finished and I left the room and walked out to my car. As I was crossing the parking lot one of the employees ran out after me and said “we’d like to offer you the job!” Lol…..quickest job I’ve ever gotten! I’m 62 now and still gardening and love watching your gardening videos every day!!
Lol nice story. I also love Salvias. I got a pot from Costco almost two years ago and it has become a beautiful monster. I had to divide it and I think I'll have to divide it again soon. The pollinators love it and it's so glorious and easy to grow, I don't think I'll ever be without one again.
@@saltycat662 thanks…..lol…..yeah, I put a May Night in a veggie raised bed last year…..the soil was brought in esp for veggies. It got ENORMOUS this year and I’m gonna have to move it!!
I remember when Aaron hated to be in front of the camera, it is great to see his confidence grow, and it is great to hear the two of you sort out gardening and life dilemmas.
Yes, I agree! Aaron you are doing great on camera! But I have to say.. Laura, quit interrupting your good looking man.. will you?😀 I've been noticing that in your weekly recap videos.. Hey, I love watching you guys👍 Love you both and your beautiful kids🤗❤ God bless you all
One of the unspoken joys of this channel is getting to see the two of you discussing in a healthy manner your differences and joking about your difficulties in your relationship and life. There aren’t enough healthy, long term relationships in ‘media’. Thanks for being awesome.
Community gardening is amazingly rewarding! I work as an occupational therapist for a long term nursing facility and every year I bring 25 or more large containers from home for the residents to grow flowers and vegetables in. I buy the seeds, plants and fertilizer for them to plant and care for throughout the season. I have seen first hand that gardening is much more therapeutic than having them sit and do boring exercises in a wheelchair! Whenever anyone asks where I got my knowledge.. I alway give kudos to Garden Answer!
Love the fact that Aaron is so much more comfortable now and I like watching you bounce things off each other. Love your channel cannot say that enough!
Love how thoughtful you are with your interaction with Benjamin. You are so right about how it shapes him. Really really loved this recap video, watching you and Aaron working together is so encouraging. Not every couple has this gift. You are blessed and a blessing. 💖
For a couple years in a row, after we got the dahlias in the ground, my mom would say to me, I hope the dahlias are okay! I hope they aren't out there rotting in the ground! Then, after a week or two more, she would dig one up and they would be fine. I started reminding her of that conversation when she would start fretting about them. My mom passed in 2013. Thank you for bringing up a sweet memory!
I've noticed that nowadays Aaron has really gained a lot of knowledge about garden and flowers and their behaviour. I'm so happy for you both. You both compliment each other 💕🙏
Aww. I would but we moved last summer. I don't have any dahlias yet. It's much drier here. We get less than 15" of rain annually and only 10 inches of snow. No chance of them rotting here! I'm sure, she knows I'm talking about her! Eternal rest, grant unto her, O Lord . . .
I wanted to say I agree with the comment about watching you guys to get away from world problems/issues. I find myself watching videos with you over again that is very therapeutic. Thanks again! Love you guys!
I love your weekly recap videos. You and Aaron are such a wonderful couple. You complement each other so well. You have made such a wonderful place people can escape to if only for a few minutes a day. You leave people feeling better about their struggles and accomplishments both in gardening and life. You have helped me immensely. Thank you and god bless.
🌷☕️Good day to all! This recap is wonderful, it’s so delightful to watch you and Aaron discussing and dreaming together. After all the Queens Jubilee festivities this week, the Queens words regarding her late Prince come to mind in describing Laura and Aaron - you are each other’s “strength and stay”. Enjoy a wonderful new week everyone - happy gardening. 🌞👏🏻🌸💚🙏
Interesting about Proven Winners. I was at a garden center where the sign over the table said 'Proven Winners'. I bought one, and contacted PW via Facebook to ask for more information about the plant. They got right back to me and said it wasn't theirs, knew who's it was (what company) and wanted to know the address of the place that was selling other plants as Proven Winners.. They were all over it. Which is good - people trust PW and pay a premium for them.
The growers pay a premium for them but often they are sold for the same price as other breeders plants. At least that’s what we’ve always done in the 30 years of growing and selling them.
In reference to who enjoys the plantings at the college during summer: This beautiful space with so much paved surface seems like the ideal park-like space to bring children with their tricycles & small bikes, to let them ride while the parents sit nearby. A lovely, soothing environment.
Also, you have to know a little about this town. (I grew up around there). It’s a small town and the college is right on the “main drag” through town and everybody drives by. A lot of what is done is visible to the whole community.💚💚💚
We lived in a college town for 13 years (40k population but half of it was school enrollment) and our favorite "walking/jogging" route was through the campus. We would just park in one of the parking lots in the evening and then just do a route and did enjoy all the summer plantings. Most of the plants all lasted through the Fall school openings as well when the 20k students came back.
I have a volunteer garden area at our community library that I tend for past 10 years. Thirty of us create incredible beauty for all to see! ...& folks are so darn appreciative of our efforts!
We had a “community garden” for our church for a few years… then life got busy (and more complicated 😉) but I miss doing that. Definitely something I would like to bring back!
Wow Carol that is awesome! I can imagine that library is beautiful. And how wonderful to share the experience with 30 other people. Great fellowship and a wonderful beautiful contribution to your community!
Your brain is like a designers brain Laura ( thinking about people who are practical vs not) you explore and go through a process of figuring it out! Love it
Hi friends! I’m an environmental scientist specializing in compost and food waste and I wanted to just add a word to the biodegradable pots. Even biodegradable and compostable pots/cutlery/plates (the ones that looks like plastic, not the paper ones) still contain a small amount of plastic and when breaking down, will contribute some amounts of micro plastics to the soil. It’s one of the reasons we don’t allow them in our compost facility at the muni I work for. I wouldn’t recommend them in your backyard compost for anything that you’re growing food in, as we’re also testing small amounts of pfas from them. What a frustrating answer, I know! So glad that growers are considering alternative pots to plastics, we’ll all get there I’m confident!
We are food packaging retailers and several seminars I have attended for plastic recyclers say PLA is causing major headaches as it contaminates and ruins the whole batch of PET recycling if it accidentally is added as a plastic PET product. Seems to me we need a whole lot more research and education of the public about the 'not so solve all Problems' of PLA - although it does have it's place. There's too much fashionable hype/marketing and misinformation out there.
It took me six months to find the "right" drawer and cabinet pulls for my kitchen. I drove my friends crazy, but once I found what I was looking for it was beautiful. Laura, you keep looking for those lights = they are out there trust me.
Just loved hearing Aaron talk about what makes you interesting. So sweet. Also please give your mom a big hug. She's such an encouraging person. Even when ya'll disagree when antiquing she says yes, that's nice... the most negative she gets is the occasional 'maybe not'. She's definitely not a Negative Nelly, & it's SO appreciated. You take after her, such a fine quality, Benjamin and Samantha will greatly benefit from this. I have a very contrary mom, whatever I say or like, she says the opposite and she says so EVERY single time.🙄😪 Laura has helped me be more brave & not so planning & 'boring', Aaron.😉
Laura, you're our inspiration! You inspire us to dream and try new things knowing that things can change and it will (usually) always work out. If we love it and it makes us happy, then that's a win! Aaron is our anchor. He gives you the freedom to dream and build, knowing that the foundation is solid. He's like our dad - you know? Not only do you two balance each other out, but you do the same for us. Head in the clouds, feet on the ground. Anyway, thanks guys!
OMG...hearing Aaron go into details about the difference between him & you just made me think that you two are like me and my husband. In the end it is the perfect pairing!
You both have such a beautiful relationship. You both are a pleasure to be around. Thank you for keeping your channel a "safe place" to come to as a respite from the world. A place of Beauty. xo
So nice to have the recap. I found myself laughing out loud as you two discussed the different way you approach projects. My husband and I have been married 45 years and often have the same kind of conversation where I leave feeling like my idea has been shot down. I have discovered that he just needs time to think it through. It is a good balance, I tend to jump in and run with the idea. That has worked and sometimes not! He is able to bring the sensible part necessary to make my dreams reality. I have often thought we work like well greased gears, most of the time. ; ) I may have to grab that book Aaron mentioned. Sounds like a good read. Thank you for sharing your lives. As always, you and your family add a bright spot of inspiration to my day.
The comment on the need for “many voices” really resonated. In my job each of us brought important insights into tasks. The out of the box voice, the - have you considered this issue voice and the time vs benefit voice. All vital.
HAHA !!!! Love that comment "you are like I'll just jump and builds the parachute on the way down and I'm like aaaah.." Gave me a good laugh. My husband and I are like that.
Wow that sure says a lot a lot about the community you live in, that you can trust any neighbor with your kids!! I am sooo happy for guys and just absolutely wish and pray that the whole country be that way
I too also love your “long and slow” videos 🙏🥰👍🌼🌺🌹🌷 the conditions that our Country has been in is so depressing….. your videos are sooooo fabulous and soooo needed these days🙏 Slower and longer Videos 🙏🙏🙏🥰
The discussion you had about Aaron being a forward thinker and Laura being more fun in her spontaneity is what makes you such a good couple!!! Love this type of openness about your personalities and the reason you both do well together. This will be the reason you will live as a successful couple together for life. ❣️ ❣️
I love the two camera perspective and hopping between the two shots I think that is awesome you guys are doing an amazing job! I've always appreciated your editing style and how you tell your story!
Do your cats have a door from the house to the yard? If not, replacing your door knob with lever style will help them and Samatha (while she's little) get out more easily. lol I mulch my planters because I can't afford to put so many plants in that you don't see the soil. Once the summer gets rolling the plants fill in but until then a little mulch helps keep moisture in. Later in the video, I think during the last review, you and Aaron are talking about the ways they communicate. I turned to my husband and said "hey, that's like us!" He's the one that wants to know exactly where the plant is going because once it's in, that's it. lol I'm like "yeah, I know we just planted that last year but it's not working there, we need to more it over here." And I'm like Laura, I see something that will work for us, like the arbor we bought and I'm like yup, Ill take it. Hubby has to take the time to look it over, test it's structure, check the way it's put together......blahblahblah. JUST BUY IT! LOL
What fun. I love the recaps and this one was an hour' yea!!! Thank you so much for giving us this peaceful break from all the world's problems. You two are great together, you complement each other. Thank you
Gosh aren’t you cute together 😍 I love how you ended up comlimenting each other for serveral minutes straight. I also so enjoy having gardening as a joined hobby with my husband, even though we are focused on different things and have a different approach. We negotiate a lot, help on each others projects and spend lots of time together.
Hi Laura, this is the first year that we have planted a garden at our church. Veggies and flowers for sharing and outreach to our community! I enjoyed making bouquets to give away at our community outreaches last summer and have added new varieties for this season! Sharing the beauty we have blessed to enjoy brings us great joy!
Hi Laura, I live in North Carolina zone 7A and this year I put mulch in all my potted plants and it does make a HUGE difference. It’s soooo humid here and the mulch really helps the plants hold onto a little more moisture than without mulch. I got this little tip from Jenny at creek side and I get so many tips from you as well. Thanks to you both!
Ha, until Aaron mentioned it specifically, I didn't realize that there is "annual" Salvia. I thought it was all perennial. Just perhaps it depended on one's growing zone 🤔. Which reiterates my own personal motto: "I know more today than I knew yesterday. But, not as much as I will know tomorrow". (RMJ)
My 3 kiddos tested positive for covid yesterday (4yo, 3yo and 10month old). Were snuggling and watching garden videos while we quarantine. Good morning everyone and have a beautiful day 🍀🌼🍀🌼🍀🌼🍀
Sometimes, if you have a bar of soap, dig your nails into it as some of the soap stays. That way the dirt washes away easier. I’ve also heard others use Vaseline the same way.
For your shed lights try keywords "Federal Style Lanterns" "Federal Lantern Sconces" or for fun "New Orleans Lantern Sconces", Savannah Style Lanterns" and Charleston Style Lanterns". And down the rabbit hole you'll go.
The Mastergardeners (Carteret County, coastal NC) in our county maintain some public gardens. The maritime museum, the Beaufort Restoration grounds, the Aquarium, a library.
Pinching flowers off of young tomato transplants or young seedlings is usually done to promote vegetative and root growth before the plant puts all its energy into fruit production….as a side note Laura, have you looked at Onion style lights for the cut flower shed. They are used on many colonial style New England and Cape Cod homes.
Yes Elizabeth, pinching off baby blooms does help the plant focus on putting energy into the plant and roots for a strong and better tomato plant and then it will produce better fruit later.
Public Gardening does help others appreciate it. My husband and I maintain a memorial garden at our local fairgrounds. ( I do a lot of public spaces for work.) However we met at our local fair more than 17 years ago, and constantly look for ways to give back and volunteer. A fun way to reminisce on memory lane. I encourage those that can find ways to volunteer. So great to see that Laura and Aaron do so much for their community. Thank you for sharing and encouraging us all.
What a wonderful way to commemorate your love story Alicia by maintaining that lovely public garden at your community fairgrounds. I agree with you 100% that volunteer public gardening is so rewarding and highly encouraged.
Aaron, thank you for the Five Voices recommendation! You two definitely are so compatible! And listening to you two talk about precious Benjamin, his curiosity, his interests, and how you always remember to take time for and make him the primary focus is inspiring!
I love the recap videos, the longer the better. I really miss them when you skip one. Luckily that is rare. This one was extra good! I’m so glad you’re getting rain this spring. I have been so worried about the farmers irrigation. (My roots are in the areas southwest of Nyssa which is dependent on the owyhee reservoir). It was so low a couple of months ago, my brother told me the supply was likely to run out in August, maybe before. I saw pictures posted by my nephew yesterday, and the water level there looked MUCH more optimistic now🥰👍. If you haven’t ever been up there, you should take a drive one day. Check it out. It’s a beautiful drive and a good place for a family “picmic”. Don’t forget your cameras. 💚💚💚
I was just google mapping to tell you how far it is from Ontario to Lake Owyhee state park. Don’t go by them. They don’t even have the road listed. Go to Nyssa and follow the signs. It will be about an hour drive from Ontario. 💚💚💚
This conversation about how you both communicate is cracking me up. Exactly how my husband and I work. We joke that his brain runs in a straight line from point A to point B and mine runs in a squiggly all over line 😆
I recently was certified as a Master Gardener. In our county we take care of 8 public gardens and one at a complex for girls that have been removed from their homes ( reminds me of where Laura plants the containers). It is nice because lots of hands make light work. I am enjoying the fellowship and learning soooo much. Four of the gardens are at libraries and one is a vegetable garden where the produce is donated to local food banks. I get so much inspiration from Laura and Aaron’s videos.🌷
That is wonderful Kelly! I love hearing about all your master gardener projects as I just completed master gardener training this year myself. And I love the sound of all of your projects! Can you tell me what county and state you’re in so I can look them up on the Internet? Currently my library project is not a master gardener volunteer project but I’m thinking about adding an educational component to it so that I can apply for it to be an official master gardener project. Right now I’m just doing it because I want my library to be beautiful.
@@FluffyFlowersTV I am located in Comal County, TX. Congratulations 🎉! Becoming a MG was a lot of work but I am glad I did it. Good luck with your library garden! I bet it is beautiful. Where are you located?
LOVE the idea of having a video dedicated to community gardening show & tell! It’s been kind of a dream of mine to give back in this way…the thought started when I saw a huge set of planted pots placed all along the downtown in a small town in Vermont. And, of course, was kindled with all the GA projects. Very interested to be inspired by the efforts of this community.
You should totally go for it. I started very small and build up over time. I just love taking care of public gardening projects that everyone can appreciate.
Aaron could you ask for re-zoning or special permit use for the new property? Look forward to see how it gets developed. Amazing what You and Laura have done with the south garden in such a short period of time.
I’m was laughing early on because of the whole shed/light convo because you mentioned not knowing what to google and last time you had the lights and were discussing them with Aaron he said google “steam punk” and I had no clue what it was- until I googled it! lol Anyway, I have been so thrilled with all the videos but I have missed our recaps! Thank you for all that you both do & for keeping me sane and full of light and hope. 😊♥️
The love and appreciation you have for each other and your family just melts my heart. Thank you for sharing all the conversation and behind the scenes planning in these recap videos. They are some of my favorite videos to watch.
I am so happy you have chosen to share your gardening and family with us. It is wonderful that you got your new land - and love hearing the progress, and brainstorming...... how big is the river running back there? Its exciting to hear you two.
I love watching the two of you talk, discuss, disagree, and dream together. You have the up most respect for each other and what you each bring to the table. Your skills and strengths really do complement each other! Thanks for sharing and letting us be apart!
Speaking from experience: Arbs that have been bent down due to snow load, just tie them up to the main branch. This gives them support, maintains the shape of the arb, and gives them a chance to recover and grow upright again.
When I tell people about your videos, I tell them "Laura is so delightful. She's someone I would like to be around. She and her family are absolutely adorable." I have learned it's all about trying, failing and trying again. My flower bed is coming along nicely all because of you. I even made my own pallet walkway. Thank you so much.
I don’t know what I enjoy more, the content pertaining to gardening or seeing the wonderful relationship you and Aaron have!!! I thought I was more like you Laura, but hearing about Aaron’s checking all angles, I’m definitely that! Lol - my guy constantly warns me I always see what could go wrong, but I’m doing exactly as Aaron said, just checking all the angles to make a plan B! Lol you guys are the best! Thank you for all you do to make the world a better place! Cindy(new in NH!)
Hi Laura and Aaron! Love your videos! In regards to the pumpkins looking so wilted, I believe that one of the characteristics of cucurbit plants is that they allow their leaves to flop down, appearing wilted, while the hot sun is beating down on them in order to prevent too much evaporation, especially since they don't have very much waxy cuticle on their leaves like some other plants do. So they are not necessarily thirsty, they are just protecting themselves from the heat. Then once the sun goes down, the leaves will perk back up again even if you didn't water them.
It's funny how different our climates are. We've had a record breaking hot, and dry May and June, while you've had unusually cool and wet. I live in the tropics, so it's topically warm but also usually rainy.
I so value the positivity in your videos. It is a true joy to escape the negativity and misery that is so prevalent in social media/wider media. I can well imagine how difficult it is to consistently maintain, but another huge amount of gratitude for that from me!
Haha Aaron “why do we live in a place where trees fall down?” I feel you! I say the same about where I live: why do I live in a place where your eyeballs can freeze if your outside in the winter for longer than 5 minutes?!
It’s so fun to have “future projects” in mind… we have just bought a cabin in NC to fix up and put in short term rental program. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve listened to this channel while cleaning and painting a mural 🎨. It’s such a blessing to so many!!
Watching all that you have going on is fun. I’ve taken the attitude that the act of gardening is as important as how the plants do over time. I’d like success, but if some don’t make it, it’s not a big deal.
Ever since been watching Laura I've become less tenitive while gardening telling MYSELF it's okay to just let go n enjoy everything doesn't need to be perfect... PHEW.... Great compatibly....
My husband sat down right when you you were talking about The Five Voices. Aaron said, “You’re like I’ll jump and fix the parachute on the way down.” My husband look at me and started laughing 😂. That would also be me! Watching your channel inspires me and brings me joy everyday. Thanks for everything you do!
I just want to give a big Thank You to Laura for her "impratical gardening style". Landscaping around my home used to cause me a lot of stress. I had in my mind that my plant choices were permanent and I worried that I was not making the right choices for that location. Laura gave me the confidence that if I see a pretty plant that speaks to me, just go ahead and plant it where I think it might look nice. If it ends up that I don't love it in that location, just dig it up and replant it somewhere else. This change of mindset has given me such freedom and I now immensely love and enjoy gardening....all because of Laura's style.
I have an issue with Caladiums also. After years, I gave up. A friend, as a joke, bought Hobby Lobby ones, plopped them in the back bed. Lasted two years! Fooled many from a distance (till you got up on it). It was fun, done from love and laughs. Now, beautiful perennials have taken the spot. Sweet memories only BFFs can get away with.
My Caladium survived my cold house, only to died because I put them out too early, I looked it up after, temp have to be 65 degrees or higher, what a bummer
Well Laura, you could always just choose your favorite Caladium and utilize it in the Hartley lol. I think the white ones are glorious. I've also seen a white version that is pretty close to being transparent. Just beautiful. How pretty would a few different ones be at Christmas time in the Hartley?
OMG I'm downloading "5 Voices: How to Communicate" now! My husband INFURIATES me by shooting holes in my ideas & if this book will show me why & that he isn't being critcal, then our otherwise healthy relationship will contine to grow. Kinda like your beautiful gardens. Thank you!
So much fun! Thank you guys, I enjoy your conversations and everything else about the recaps! God bless you! Have an amazing week! Hugs and love! P.s. thank you for making your channel a safe haven with lots a beauty and joy! 🤗❤🤗
Your personalities are so much like mine and my husband's. He sees projects but I need a drawing to grasp the idea. The blessing is you complement each other so well.
I was worried about if there isn’t going to be anymore recap videos for this summer because of your busy schedule , but I got so happy when you posted a new one. I thank the horses for the new land is an excellent idea 💡
There is an island on our street in Vermont with trees and four flower beds, two full sun, one partial sun, one shade. We raise money by having a garage sale day, buy annual flowers to add consistent color along with many perennial plantings. All the mowing, weeding, planting, cleanup, holiday lights are done by our residents. It’s a joy to see the flowers as you drive in and out of the neighborhood.
Wow Susan that is fantastic! and I bet it looks beautiful too. How excellent it must be for everyone to come home and see those flower beds and know they invested a little of themselves to make their community a wonderful place to live.
Pumpkins do root along their vines. You can encourage it by putting a little dirt over the vine. I do this regularly if I get squash vine borers. Works like a charm! I’d make sure the entire bed is irrigated. That should help.
@@verawallace9055 Give it a try! If I see borer damage I’ll cut it out and pack dirt around the wound and encourage rooting along the vine. If that doesn’t work just rip the plant out! If you don’t ever plant it you’ll never get a pumpkin. If you do plant the seed, you might be lucky enough to get one!! Those darn white butterflies! Used to live them as a kid. Now…
So glad to hear about your neighborhood! I can't help but think we could all benefit from knowing our neighbors more, creating a safe place for families. I grew up in town and being outside until dark. The whole town was like that.

@@onlywatch99 A lovely picture in my mind, of this!
OUTSTANDING IDEA
Laura..you are the Martha Stewart of gardening...you demonstrate so many ideas that we can try that fit our lifestyles
There’s never enough Garden Answer! Love a looong recap video on a Sunday morning. Thank you mucho for the continued awesome content and inspiration!
It took me six months to find the "right" drawer and cabinet pulls for my kitchen. I drove my friends crazy, but once I found what I was looking for it was beautiful. Laura, you keep looking for those lights = they are out there trust me.
LOL Bettyboop! Four years ago we remodeled & I [temporarily] put a cheap light over the back door ‐ it's still there.
I have a very contrary mom, whatever I say or like, she says the opposite and she says so EVERY single time.🙄😪
Laura has helped me be more brave & not so planning & 'boring', Aaron.😉
Laura, you're our inspiration! You inspire us to dream and try new things knowing that things can change and it will (usually) always work out. If we love it and it makes us happy, then that's a win! Aaron is our anchor. He gives you the freedom to dream and build, knowing that the foundation is solid. He's like our dad - you know? Not only do you two balance each other out, but you do the same for us. Head in the clouds, feet on the ground. Anyway, thanks guys!
Lovely comment!
Amazed how much you can accomplish ..... do you have volunteers or employees that help you and your husband? Your property is amazing!
That discussion was so cute!
I love the two camera perspective and hopping between the two shots I think that is awesome you guys are doing an amazing job! I've always appreciated your editing style and how you tell your story!
I love watching you two communicate and the love and understanding you have for each other ❤️
I use bark mulch in my containers mainly to try to deter toads from digging in them and ruining my plant roots!
Thank you
I do the landscape design, installation and maintenance, except the mowing, at my church.
What church do you attend
Yes I think they misunderstood the question. Mulching containers helps So Much to help them Hold moisture
Omg I have an old quilt that is ripped and doesn’t match anything by would be PERFECT for a picnic!! What a great idea!
Ha, until Aaron mentioned it specifically, I didn't realize that there is "annual" Salvia. I thought it was all perennial. Just perhaps it depended on one's growing zone 🤔. Which reiterates my own personal motto:
"I know more today than I knew yesterday. But, not as much as I will know tomorrow". (RMJ)
I didn’t know this about salvias either. Thanks for always teaching. You guys are a blessing!
I love the plants in the back grown, love the set up.
My 3 kiddos tested positive for covid yesterday (4yo, 3yo and 10month old). Were snuggling and watching garden videos while we quarantine. Good morning everyone and have a beautiful day 🍀🌼🍀🌼🍀🌼🍀
Bless your heart. Praying all goes well. 🙏🏻
Prayers for a quick and full recovery ❤️🩹
Poor babies! Get well soon!!!
Hope you all get better quickly ❤️🩹😊
Take care-ALL if you!!!
Time for google Elizabeth! 😊

Having the summary posted on Sunday is the best!!!
My summer goal is to fertilize annuals each week. My calendar is marked. This has never been high on my list and I'm taking your lead this year.
You won’t regret it! I did this last year, and my plants got huge.
I am trying to do this too! Hoping it makes a difference.
Amazing what You and Laura have done with the south garden in such a short period of time.
you can always put a fan out there to help keep flies at bay. I keep an oscalating fan that is the pedestal type on my patio just to keep them away.
I enjoy seeing and hearing how much you guys love and like each other. So sweet!
I’m was laughing early on because of the whole shed/light convo because you mentioned not knowing what to google and last time you had the lights and were discussing them with Aaron he said google “steam punk” and I had no clue what it was- until I googled it! lol
Anyway, I have been so thrilled with all the videos but I have missed our recaps!
Oh I'm so overjoyed that Aaron read 5 voices. I'm currently reading/listening to it! Such a great tool for my work at church.
An hour and 13 minutes!! 💜Awesomeness!! Can hardly wait to watch this one!! Thank you!!
I mulch my containers a bit when first planted. Lol, just can’t help it. 😄 A very fine pine bark. Some containers aren’t as packed in.
Haha Aaron “why do we live in a place where trees fall down?” I feel you! I say the same about where I live: why do I live in a place where your eyeballs can freeze if your outside in the winter for longer than 5 minutes?!
I also wonder if rain X would work on containers , maybe the water would just slide off preventing the water from just sitting there and drying? 🌸💚🙃
It’s so fun to have “future projects” in mind… we have just bought a cabin in NC to fix up and put in short term rental program. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve listened to this channel while cleaning and painting a mural 🎨. It’s such a blessing to so many!!
7.16 THIS IS WHY WE NEED AARON IN THE VIDEOS HE'S SO FUNNY 🤣👏👍👌 LOVE YOU GUYS 💖
AGREED👍😀
MORE AARON IN VIDEOS PLEASE😀 HE IS DOING AWESOME!👍
You guys are so uplifting…I love how you respect each other’s opinions and personality. Great role models for young families. ♥️
Watching all that you have going on is fun. I’ve taken the attitude that the act of gardening is as important as how the plants do over time. I’d like success, but if some don’t make it, it’s not a big deal.
Oh! I love that!! Thank you
Our town has a lighting and electric supply store with tons of lights on display. You should see if there is something similar in your area.
Laura is the frosting and Aaron is the cake.
Yay !! Here we go for +1 hour, what a treat 😏
I missed this so much 🙂
Well Laura, you could always just choose your favorite Caladium and utilize it in the Hartley lol. I think the white ones are glorious. I've also seen a white version that is pretty close to being transparent. Just beautiful. How pretty would a few different ones be at Christmas time in the Hartley?
I love helping with gardening at our church. I have 3 landscaping areas and 2 pots by the Parish Office door.
Laura and Aaron.....Your property is the most beautiful property ever!!!! I love it!
OMG I'm downloading "5 Voices: How to Communicate" now! My husband INFURIATES me by shooting holes in my ideas & if this book will show me why & that he isn't being critcal, then our otherwise healthy relationship will contine to grow. Kinda like your beautiful gardens. Thank you!
I bought it at the moment he mentioned it
Pertaining to Land &Sea, I live in western Oregon and have ordered it from Amazon, which means it delivered right to my house. No problem getting it
I love what you do. It fills my heart and feeds my soul. Thank you so much.
So much fun! Thank you guys, I enjoy your conversations and everything else about the recaps! God bless you! Have an amazing week! Hugs and love!
P.s. thank you for making your channel a safe haven with lots a beauty and joy! 🤗❤🤗
AAAAh Aaron - you said such lovely things about Laura - That's beautiful! That's what makes you fun Laura - soooo sweet!
I love you two!! She’s a dreamer and he’s a thinker!! I love you both!!
Your personalities are so much like mine and my husband's. He sees projects but I need a drawing to grasp the idea. The blessing is you complement each other so well.
Our family was a farm family and we spent hours working and playing….. and growing into awesome adults. Precious time.
I was worried about if there isn’t going to be anymore recap videos for this summer because of your busy schedule , but I got so happy when you posted a new one. I thank the horses for the new land is an excellent idea 💡
The UnPlugged Salvias are perennials for me in North Texas! Such a great surprise the first season I saw them come back.
Am yet to sow a pumpkin seeds am afraid of the vines borer, I also see the hated white butterfly hovering around
