Wish you were my neighbor and friend. I look forward to your videos everyday. Don't think I've missed one since I began watching. Thank you for being so amazing.

Laughing, smiling, teasing and being sassy is so adorable and I love watching these two. They lift me up. Especially since my marriage is crap, I have this funny beautiful family to watch ♥️♥️♥️
I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as when Laura says mid sentence "oh look there's a squirrel" and then she couldn't remember what she was talking about.... Laura you are too precious!!!! 😂🥰😇
While you might not like public speaking, you are an excellent teacher! You have taught us all so very much about gardening, positivity and rolling with the difficulties that arise.
I think the answer for Laura going to someone’s garden club is: instead of booking her for a speaking engagement, have a garden tea party where everyone can drink wine, admire the garden, and just chit chat, maybe a Q&A.
Agree Gina! I always love that one clip where she's walking out onto the stage to speak at one of the garden shows a few years back, and Aaron is following her and filming so you can see the crowd's reaction to her entrance. Gives me the sweet feels because I so get it! I'm that person in the crowd! :) (or rather I wish i had been ! aahhh maybe someday)
The one thing I really enjoy about the Highlights channel is I feel as though I'm setting at the table with yall just chit-chatting away as if were all friends...love it!
Oh man. I don't know about anyone else but Laura and Aaron you guys were so funny with this re-cap video..I was just laughing out loud... Laura driving away with the hose attached.. love that you own that Laura.. makes us feel better about our mistakes. You are so genuine. And Aaron competing in the Olympics for track...enjoyed this video so much. Thanks so much for these videos!!
Me too! I thought and did the same thing and not sure if it’s good or bad but I don’t laugh out loud much but this video had me doing just that several times! I love them! 😁❤️
And I love that Aaron challenges Laura's thinking sometimes and she's totally open to it, then we get to hear your thinking process which for gardeners is super interesting.
I think you have enough on your hands without having to answer individual comments! This video more than does the trick. Love these vids, almost as much as your main Garden Answer channel. You have two littlies, a massive piece of land/garden to look after, plus all the usual life bits and pieces. You are both wonderful people and doing an amazing job. Thanks :-)
I agree - the question was probably just wondering - I like that followers here know how it works with highlights and so we interact with each other on daily videos - if we know Laura’s answer from other videos we reply to each other - it’s a great community🥰💚
I think you do a great job, here, and in your videos, answering questions that come up. Pretty sure the followers don't want you taking away from the videos you make to answer comments.
Loved the livestock discussion: Laura, "I'd like to get a couple of horses at some point in my life" -- Aaron, "but not to eat." Best laugh I've had in a week!
I think that sitting down once a week and answering questions is a great way to do it! I would much rather have an extra video then for you to take a day to answer comments. I love the channels and all the work you guys do for us to have content to enjoy, so thanks
I agree. When I first started watching GA I was looking for answers. But quickly learnt to watch the highlights and I like highlights so much better - we get the context also why they are doing it instead of one or two sentences. And then the friendly banter between them :)
I love how involved and supportive Aaron is with your plans Laura, and how you discuss and bounce ideas off each other …and tbh a little envious! You have such a great partnership ❤️. No one else in my family is interested in my gardening obsession and they are normally trying to talk me out of what I want to do - being able to watch your new garden development and see you work as a team brings me so much happiness!
I want a Potager garden because my front yard is so much bigger than my back. And I live in the country on 2 acres and a 4 lane hwy with semi trucks going 70 mph. No one is going to notice my yard or care but me. My son is about to move next door on the 1 acre pasture and says that will look so tacky..he doesn't even know what a Potager garden is. I'm 64 live alone, work and very independent..sick of family comments for sure. I may need a privacy fence between us 🤣.
Have to say, every video I look for Russel lol! He pops in at some point every single time. It’s like “Where’s Waldo?” Only it’s “Where’s Russel?” He sure loves you ❤️
When you said “she’s my girl”,it just made me tear up. I don’t know why, but the smile on your face was just priceless❤️. You 2 have the most beautiful children, I love when they are in the video & Benjamin just makes me smile & his little dance was so cute, to be a kid again, oh my!❤️
I love how supportive Aaron is about everything. What a great partner! By the way, Aaron, I'm totally with you on those random lines in the grass. I want parallel lines in my lawns.
Lol I'm just thankful I finally have a new mower (it works!!) and I can mow at all. My yard is full of trees and straight lines are not going to happen. I mowed twice this week just because I have a new mower🤣.

For zinnias, don't cut them until the stems are fairly stiff. If the head wiggles a lot when you shake the stem, they are not ready. Check out Flower Hill Farm, she teaches it well.
I happily admit I watch every single video during the week and still can't wait for the Highlight , love the interaction with Laura and Aaron it's so dang normal.
that drone footage... played it several times because yes, seeing Benjamin running through the grass and you coming out with Samantha in her stroller??? that's a perfect life... doesn't get any better than that.. and then i made my husband watch and yeah, we both loved it... and the perspective... i cannot wait to see Christmas on your property this year!! when will Aaron start with the lights? soon? haha... have a great weekend and next week!! :)
I could watch hours of garden maintenance videos or peaceful montages of your garden like the one Laura filmed when it rained a year or two ago or even drone footage. I really appreciate the more involved videos that show a project or feature different plants, but the videos where we just get to see the garden or watch Laura work in her element are so great. Thank you both so so much!!
I love your highlights channel just as much as your main channel. Feels like I'm hanging out with my close friends talking about our gardens.... listening and learning from others (and you)! P.S. My husband loves the lines in the grass as well. :)
Laura, we would LOVE to hear you speak in person. No Worries. We LOVE you just as You are. I am so hoping that you will be at The Grand Garden Show next year and that I will be Blessed to see you. My sister and I are planning to go next year. You have inspired me in gardening like no other. I have always loved growing flowers, but you have taken my Garden to a whole new level. FYI I am a Retired Registered Nurse. 🥰🥰🥰

Hugs and blessings guys from Sonora, Mexico. :)
Somehow I take whatever Laura says as the bible. Simply because she doesn't preach. She advises. I like that she doesn't pretend to know everything but preaches experience and whats best for the plants
Absolutely love the drone footage. It such a great perspective of the property. The sweetness of your family enjoying the new area. Great work Aaron. Love you guys.

I love have Russell tucked himself in the video and snuggled in on Laura's lap just perfectly. My cat is doing the same thing as I watch. He's tucked himself in and he knows to be careful not to block my view or he'll have to move. Cozy cats!
A man and his lawn…😆 Aaron, you are so adorably funny! And the Disney annuals! Oh, my goodness! Maybe you can have a little space to make your annual flower dream come true? Epic shot of Benjamin running through the grass!❤️ It represents freedom to this American heart. If he was carrying our flag, I would’ve cried harder.😬
There are definitely UA-cam channels where their pets really stand out and are totally adorable. This is true even if they aren't the main focus of the channel. Russell and Cheddar totally fit into that category. :)
I think Aaron was trying to be diplomatic and not wanting to do a video in regard to organizing. So funny! Maybe more comfortable behind the camera! Love the interaction of Laura and Aaron.
The video of drone footage really tugged at my heartstrings - and Aaron you recapped it perfectly. "That is what everybody wants, not for their kids but for themselves, to be a kid again and run through the grass." It had all the feels. Thank you :)
This was such a pleasant video. Loved seeing your cat 🐈 sit in your lap. Precious. Lost my kitty two years ago and still miss her. Nice to see you are an animal person. ❤

I think that maybe you could tell people more often on your regular channel about the questions and answers on the highlight channel. I watch every video you put out, but rarely do I hear you mention the highlight channel on the daily channel. And since you have so many new subs now, they need to know where to go for the recap video. Just a thought! 💜💜💜
Laura! Give yourself more credit! You are the my BEST, FAVORITE teacher in my life right now! Just because you’re not staring at hundreds of faces doesn’t mean you’re NOT a great speaker. Maybe ask for speaking engagements that are panel-style… then you can go off-script to impart some of your vast knowledge?
Hey look at that background with the pink flower in the foreground and the lush greenery out of focus, it almost looks too perfect like a "green screen" photo. You do realize that you could sell snapshots to Zoom for their meeting backgrounds! I want a few! xoxo🌞🙏🌺
For the person who asked about zinnias there is a easy test to know if they are ready. You shake the stem and if it wobbles a lot it’s not ready and will wilt if cut. If you shake and it’s pretty firm it’s good to pick!
I agree with Aaron, a meadow would be a challenge. How will Laura prevent wild flowers from her meadow from setting seed in Aaron’s lawns? Sorry Laura😂
@@ericmoore9126 I'm good, thanks, Eric. Summer is winding down and temperatures though still warm during the days, drops at nights; the sun is mostly gone too.
Hi Laura ~ I was at the Grand Garden Show when you were a speaker and you did great!!! We are our own worst enemy. Don't be so hard on yourself. So thankful for your videos.
Love you guys truly enjoy watching them you guys are a breath of fresh air with all the turmoil going on in the world . I so enjoy seeing the children grow Benjamin and Samantha are with a few months of 2 of my Grandchildren. Hope you guys don’t ever stop making videos❤️♥️
Laura & Aaron - thank you so much for all of your hard work. You are my first video every morning. You have a sweet family...take 3 days off. It's Labor Day, an annual celebration of workers and the labor force's achievements. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the time and Love that you have shared. Take a break...soak in all of the Love you have and deserve ♥
I have to agree with you Laura. I tried to do a class with tops . Weight loss program. I almost got sick. So I don’t do those public speaking . And I talk with complete strangers. Lol
We had 20 cubic yards of aged cow manure delivered. My husband and I spread this “black gold” over all beds as “compost”. This worked out very well! It kept down the weeds and then (after a year) it decomposed and enriched our soil!! Win! Win! We will be doing this again!! 🐝👏🐝👏🐝👏
I’m telling ya. We need a mini series where we follow Aaron around and see what his chores are! From keeping the garage/shed’s organized to grass maintenance and even when he goes around treating plants for special issues. 👀
Laura and Aaron...YOU are the BEST!!! 💕 You lift us up and we lift you up. We all have a good thing going here. 😊 The credit goes to you for starting off the positive reaction. 💕
Weekly recap has become my favorite video of the week! It is just so relaxing to hear you talk about the week that has passed and future plans. It really makes me feel like apart of your amazing garden. It is also so fun to hear the dialogue between you and Aaron. Keep up the good work! 💚
The best tip my parents ever gave me was to, "plant the perimeter," for a park-like yard. When Aaron mentioned 'limbing-up the trees,' it reminded me of how humans love a savannah-like openness, because it was where we originated from, (grassland dotted with tall trees.) As predator you can see your prey. As prey you can see the predators.
I love the Garden Highlights video, I love the Drone coverage, I love the Hartley, love all the daily videos & I really enjoy your channel and Instagram channel.
Oh Laura and Aaron how sweet to thank people for uplifting comments you both give so much inspiration, information and laughter. Every video you produce is so uplifting for me and so many others you really got me through some tricky times and now I garden for distraction totally inspired by you. Lots of love to all of your beautiful family from the Uk x
I love listening to you and Aaron’s conversation on how you want to proceed on projects. Maybe I should video with my husband so we don’t end up arguing! 😂👍
😆 it must be an American colloquialism for the objectionable name, in Australia it’s generally either hairy balloon or cotton bush, both a little more PG
best pets ever - Nigerian Dwarf goats. Been raising em since 05' absolutely love my goaties. We have dreaded Japanese knotweed here in NH; fav of goats.
My gomphrena is spectacular'; I'm struggling with supertunias and superbells. (BTW, I only smell gomphrena right after I water them.) I LOVE your videos. I've gardened all my life and I learn something new almost every video! I think you are charming, interesting, and informative.
Great idea for Aaron to do a garage/tool organizing video. Yes, Aaron the products for storage are important, but more important is what tools or garage stuff you use more and where to put them. Please do one. I’m going to tackle my garage starting next month so the weather will be cooler in Texas. Right now it looks like “Sanford and Sons”!!! Funny old TV comedy for you young people. I can’t wait Aaron. Thanks so much. God bless. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
I don’t know about anybody else but I love the high tunnels out there by the cut flower fields, it makes it look farm like. I think that a small one like the one you have by the garage with the shingle front would look beautiful out there. I loved this weeks chores series, I find series so informative.
I used to work at Lowes too. I worked in the garden center and in the seasonal department like Aaron. I worked there while I was in college. I have many great memories.
Laura, early on you were saying the Hartley probably would be “in-progress” until November……and waiting for tradesmen/HVAC and others means you were right you set your expectations a long way out!
You answer more questions than any other channel I've ever seen... thank you for taking the time to respond to that comment (about you not answering questions) - if only to educate your new viewers how your channel works.
🤣🤣🤣 SQUIRREL!! 🐿 @ 39:35 Oh my gosh that was so funny!! I love these recap videos! I feel like we get to be a part of your spontaneous planning sessions!!
It’s funny that you mentioned spiders. I was bit last year by a brown recluse on my right ring finger. I lost the month of May between the bite and not being able to be even in indirect sunlight while being treated. I used to store my gloves on a shelf in the garage, and I rarely wear them. But when spreading mulch I do. Well it was in the glove. I now keep my gloves in a sealed container. So anyone that has brown recluse in your area, keep your gloves in either a ziplock baggie or in a sealed container.
We are definitely a Home Depot family. I meet my husband there. I worked 9 years and my husband 20 and still there. Its a phenomenal company and they have been good to us.
hi, i love the highlights channel, it feels like i’m part of a group planning an d review meeting😌. i vote for mixture of vines and possibly bee hives for where the high tunnels are😉

I think that maybe you could tell people more often on your regular channel about the questions and answers on the highlight channel. I watch every video you put out, but rarely do I hear you mention the highlight channel on the daily channel.
And since you have so many new subs now, they need to know where to go for the recap video. Just a thought! 💜💜💜
Great idea I hope she sees this! It would help people picking top comments to be answered too
I think you just have to mention this channel MUCH more on the main channel videos, direct more people here!
I never ever noticed bugs in my plants until I started watching your show. Lol. Loving your info and ideas. Miss seeing the little ones.
Host a tea party! Decorate hats with your flowers and break out those drink recipes!!❤️
PERFECT !!!; I wanna Come !!
Hey look at that background with the pink flower in the foreground and the lush greenery out of focus, it almost looks too perfect like a "green screen" photo.
You do realize that you could sell snapshots to Zoom for their meeting backgrounds! I want a few!
xoxo🌞🙏🌺
Definitely laughed as Laura covered the cat's bum 🤣 you know they love to show the bum to eeeeeveryone!! 😼
I have been landscaping around my small house but I wish I had a landscaping business.
For the person who asked about zinnias there is a easy test to know if they are ready. You shake the stem and if it wobbles a lot it’s not ready and will wilt if cut. If you shake and it’s pretty firm it’s good to pick!
If Aaron is wanting lots of flowers, put him on wildflower seeding duty April through July in the natural field areas on the new property! 😄
He would *hate* wildflowers. He wants tidy clumps of annuals, not wild, chaotic wildflowers that wax and wane (which I love, btw). 😂
I agree with Aaron, a meadow would be a challenge. How will Laura prevent wild flowers from her meadow from setting seed in Aaron’s lawns? Sorry Laura😂
I think Aaron needs his own little patch of garden to plant what he wants 🌻🌸🌷

@@ericmoore9126 I'm good, thanks, Eric. Summer is winding down and temperatures though still warm during the days, drops at nights; the sun is mostly gone too.
Hi Laura ~ I was at the Grand Garden Show when you were a speaker and you did great!!! We are our own worst enemy. Don't be so hard on yourself. So thankful for your videos.
How are you doing today Karen and how is the weather over there
Love the Japanese anemone stealing into the shot over Laura's right shoulder. My favorite fall blooming perennial 😍
Getting a bucket for coming in last! 🤣🤣 I haven't laughed so heartily in awhile!
My vote is that you leave things "as is" regarding answering questions. I think you have a great system/balance!
I like this format over answering by video. We learn so much from everybody’s comments . There would never be time for us to go back daily .

Benjamin running thru the grass was a “Sound of Music” moment. 😆
How are you doing today Linda and how is the weather over there
I enjoy these videos. Thank you for taking the time to sit and chat with us- it always feels like one big gardening community.
I have to agree with you Laura. I tried to do a class with tops . Weight loss program. I almost got sick. So I don’t do those public speaking . And I talk with complete strangers. Lol
I can’t wait to see the Hartley and your garden this year around Christmas 🎄
We had 20 cubic yards of aged cow manure delivered. My husband and I spread this “black gold” over all beds as “compost”. This worked out very well! It kept down the weeds and then (after a year) it decomposed and enriched our soil!!
Win! Win! We will be doing this again!!
🐝👏🐝👏🐝👏
SMART!!!!!
How are you doing today Christine and how is the weather over there
Haha 🤣 Laura “Squirrel” and is instantly distracted! Love it! 🥰
Weekly recap has become my favorite video of the week! It is just so relaxing to hear you talk about the week that has passed and future plans. It really makes me feel like apart of your amazing garden. It is also so fun to hear the dialogue between you and Aaron. Keep up the good work! 💚
I love the shingles on the front of the greenhouse too!👍💖
The best tip my parents ever gave me was to, "plant the perimeter," for a park-like yard.
When Aaron mentioned 'limbing-up the trees,' it reminded me of how humans love a savannah-like openness, because it was where we originated from, (grassland dotted with tall trees.) As predator you can see your prey. As prey you can see the predators.
Laura and Aaron you get what you give and its pretty obvious your fans love y’all!! 💚
Laura, That why we love how your property looks , because it not natural . It's well thought out , with HUGE amount of Love:)

I love love your information. I find new ideas in this. Thanks to you both.
I love listening to you and Aaron’s conversation on how you want to proceed on projects. Maybe I should video with my husband so we don’t end up arguing! 😂👍
How are you doing today my name is Eric Moor
Ok, I had to laugh when you put the cat's tail down 😂
Laura you teaches us every day and you are good at it. You teach, we learn, we so appreciate you and Aaron.
I had to look up the common name for Gomphocarpus after you refused to say it and I died laughing!! 🤣🤣🤣You are the cutest!! Love you guys
😆 it must be an American colloquialism for the objectionable name, in Australia it’s generally either hairy balloon or cotton bush, both a little more PG
LOL I bet a lot of folks looked that one up.
best pets ever - Nigerian Dwarf goats.

You made my day with “I just want to have pets” 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕!!!
A 2ND VIDEO?? WHAT A TREAT!!! HAPPY FRIDAY AND HAVE A BEAUTIFUL LABOOR DAY WKND LAURA, AARON, and BABIES!!!
💚 from Zone9-
Great idea for Aaron to do a garage/tool organizing video.
How are you doing today Cary and how is the weather over there
I used to work at Lowes too.
How are you doing today Barbara and how is the weather over there
You answer more questions than any other channel I've ever seen... thank you for taking the time to respond to that comment (about you not answering questions) - if only to educate your new viewers how your channel works.

🤣🤣🤣 SQUIRREL!! 🐿 @ 39:35
Oh my gosh that was so funny!!
I love these recap videos! I feel like we get to be a part of your spontaneous planning sessions!!
I love when you two spitball ideas during these videos!
Definitely better now that Aaron participates.
I love you two doing the highlights together, it's awesome.
How are you doing today Olivia and how is the weather over there
hi, i love the highlights channel, it feels like i’m part of a group planning an d review meeting😌. i vote for mixture of vines and possibly bee hives for where the high tunnels are😉
For those who most definitely need to know 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 gomphocarpus has several common names cluding I guess most used is balloon plant however my mum used to call it bishop's balls. And she rarely did it with a straight face 🤣🤣🤣
I would love to see a GARDEN ANSWER INSPIRED GARDEN DESIGN IN DISNEYLAND!!! 💚💚 IN THE MEAN TIME!!! YOUR GARDEN IS MY DISNEYLAND DREAM TRIP!!!
Glad to know I’m not the only one that gets so easily distracted ! 😂
