Personally, I love the green. It reminds me of night time car rides as a child In my moms old car (like coming home from my grandmas house from Christmas Eve). But that’s just me 🤣🤣🤣
Needed to see more on the difficulties involved. So i know what to expect and how to overcome them. I felt the video was in a rush to get to the end to show how good the job turned out.
Pro tip that not alot of people share, but i will cause i like your rig! To stop door ding while key is in or on and need door open just manually close the latch on the door!😱 and dont forget to pull the door handle to re open latch before you close the door!
Nice work man. LMC will send you a free catalog for that truck and it's got everything in there in case you haven't got one yet. I'm with CalFire here in Cali, be safe out there!
Thanks for the video! First thing i did was find the door buzzer, lit it on fire and sent the video to ford. I’m going to be replacing it with a 2019 buzzer.
Good stuff man! I debated doing this on my rig, but was concerned about getting the needles back in the right place. Glad to see it seemed to work out for yah! Also, I know the pain of the old plastic. Broke a piece clean off when opening up my dash this last weekend. Thank goodness for JB weld haha.
Great video!! Love the air freshner on the 300z,lol. I got my t4 kit done on my e99 in Broward Powerstroke. I was talking about your channel to Alex there he'sa really cool mechanic and he told he knows you, small world.
Clean dash for a nice clean 7.tree. Bet the white lights could get rough on the eyes on a long night drive though. I’d personally go with something with more red light I think. But yours will look sick even at noon lol.
Nice job Brandon! Nice to see some current obs videos. Very detailed. Looking forward to more. What brand of gauges do you have in your pod and what are they monitoring? Many thanks! Nice truck!
Brave soul. I thought my plastics were brittle since mine is an ex-Arizona truck. I think yours may be worse 😣 Good job. That PRNDL indicator slips out the bottom of the cluster, 2 squeeze tabs, one on each side. Keeps from having to mess with the little cable & bracket.
Have you had any issues of slack , play and slop in your steering ? I have a 97 7.3 2wd and we have replaced everything on the front end except coil springs shocks and steering column it has new bushings ball joints , red head gear box , tie rods etc and still has slack and follows the way a road leans and has had alignment redone 5 times and still bad
you know that cluster comes out alot easier if you take the truck outa park...... seriously. done had mine out soo many times got it down to a 10 min or less job now. takes longer to find the tools. lol nice truck tho. where did you get the steering wheel adapter? grant doesn't make one for the 1/2 ton 9th gens. was that a ebay find?
Nice work, not sure if you check in here often.... But, how bright are they when dimmed low? I could see it bugging me when driving to work at 4am before I have had my monster drink.
It's best to put them back where they were when the truck was shut off. I kept the plastic off the gauge cluster and had the key to ignition so I could make sure they were lined up.
Just got a 92 7.3 and I'm looking into changing the gauge overlay as well. But with this I'd rather go this route. My question is: what if it's painted white but with green underneath that. Will I need to remove both layers of paint to achieve this as well?
I think my psom is bad so i just sent my 97 f350 7.3 cluster in for rebuild and new led back lights. Im not worrying about the green i just want brighter. Hopefully thats the problem as long as she shifts ok i could care less. 3yrs ago e40d blew up inside i started dreaming of a zf6 swap since i dont race or that kind of stuff i got a 13k trl i pull occasionally. This issue makes me think even more i wish i couldve but as my only vechicle and lack of funds for such a project. Might happen might not
I did these, not hard and looked good. Then a few day later the flicker, different bulbs at different times. Weird set up for contact. tried cleaning the copper but they are unreliable.
I changed mine yesterday and when I hooked my cluster back up now they ABS light is on and won't go off. The bulb wasn't blowed before I changed it because it would come on and go back off after the truck was running. Anyone ever have this problem?
Hey Brandon, great video. love the opening sequence! I just swapped all my lights to LEDs, but the hazards and blinkers are staying solid, no flash at all. Do these trucks need load resistors along with the updated electronic flashers? I have a 97 OBS, it has 2 flashers, we updated both, but still no flashing....
Brandon, Always love your vlogs. I have a 94 OBS Ford that I am restoring some what. Just above the grill, and on the front side of the radiator is a heavy strip of rubber across the front structure of the truck , If stand in front of the truck the heavy rubber strip is just above the grill and across the front that attaches the radiator. You see it immediately upon lifting your hood. Do you have any idea what it's called? I an trying to replace mine, but don't know the name of the part of or where I can buy a new one. It's like a rubber cowling that's just above the grill. Would sure live to know what it's called. Thanks a ton.
Is anyone having any issue with their temperature gauges after they did this? My coolant gauge is working well but my oil temperature always goes to normal even if it’s cold

Years ago, I had a dash that was white light background. I put amber 194s in. Looked like an aircraft dash.
One of the best tools I've ever bought for working on car interiors is a set of plastic pry tools they're cheap on Amazon.
Nice work man. LMC will send you a free catalog for that truck and it's got everything in there in case you haven't got one yet. I'm with CalFire here in Cali, be safe out there!
SoCali7three what is LMC please. Thanks!
Your blue paint looks fabulous. I lke the blue fabric too. my 01 has blue cloth, everything else looks off to me now.
Thanks for the video! First thing i did was find the door buzzer, lit it on fire and sent the video to ford. I’m going to be replacing it with a 2019 buzzer.
Props to you my dude, looks a million times better. I’ll be attempting this on my 2003 Ford Focus, and swapping the needles to a blue color.
FINALLY somebody who works on 9th gens on youtube!
How do those particular LED bulbs dim? Thanks!
Yow!! Looking good!! I’ve got my dash removal down to a science after 2 or 3 times!! Make sure your shifter is clear down in 1st.
Good stuff man! I debated doing this on my rig, but was concerned about getting the needles back in the right place. Glad to see it seemed to work out for yah! finally someone with an intro that has some soul to it, great stuff bro, what song is that for the intro?
lol cool that you have the exact same vehicles in your garage as me, but yours are waaay nicer.
I like the look, but part of the satisfaction of driving my 95 Bronco is the nostalgia of the period correct interior.
What's nice is the brand lights you bought has a built in resistor, I converted my hole 2000 f350 to those and love them
Looks amazing!!! I been wanting to do that with my 03 7.3. Love the, another great video.....keep them coming
How did you get your needles to light up blue mine are white
Nice job Brandon! Nice to see some current obs videos. Very detailed. Looking forward to more. What brand of gauges do you have in your pod and what are they monitoring? Many thanks! Nice truck!
Thank you! Gauges are Autometer Phantom series. For some reason UA-cam flags all the comments for this video, not sure why? Sorry for the late reply!
Off subject where did you get your steering wheel! Love the videos you make!
How’s you manage the white and blue. I’m thinking of doing something similar
Well...I'm still watching this video, but I smashed the subscribe button after that intro.
Just bought some Acetone the other day, looks like it's time to get some LED's for my 94
1. How many bulbs are there total if I wanted to LED the whole panel. Dummy lights etc
2. Does the dimmer work with LED?
Do these leds dim like the standard bulb?
They do!
Was that Bean’s Diesel where the white single cab was doing the burnout?
When I did mine my gauges got all sorts of messed up my fuel and battery gauge doesnt read right
Did you figure out how to fix it
How’d you get your oil pressure and battery gauge back?
That looks awesome! I want to do blue gauges in my super duty
Brave soul. I thought my plastics were brittle since mine is an ex-Arizona truck. I think yours may be worse 😣
Good job. That PRNDL indicator slips out the bottom of the cluster, 2 squeeze tabs, one on each side. Keeps from having to mess with the little cable & bracket.
Is the brightness variable with the light switch?

?
I've read red head steering boxes not that good anymore now, not what they were years ago. Go Blue Top box.
I have a 1991 Ford F 150. The dash lights on the instrument have a green background. I am curious what it will look like with LED lights.
you know that cluster comes out alot easier if you take the truck outa park...... seriously. done had mine out soo many times got it down to a 10 min or less job now. takes longer to find the tools. lol nice truck tho. where did you get the steering wheel adapter? grant doesn't make one for the 1/2 ton 9th gens. was that a ebay find?
Hey what's the part number or where I could get those same lights at?
Okay...great job but you didn't add 1 single LED bulb in the clip. :)
Did you have to plastic weld those broken screw holes?
btw what was the part numbers for the bulbs?
I like the color of your truck do you have paint code as I know it is not factory color
What’s the easiest way you checked the polarity of the bulbs incase you had to turn them the other way??
Hi,
Can you tell me how these bulbs lasted in the long run? I've had nothing but bad luck.
how is the dimmer switch working those pods and led's?
What's the led belb size?
Hey buddy to boss drops the steering column down and clears all that you can take it right out really easy so underneath drop the steering column
How many bulbs did you need to do just the gauges themselves ? not including the warning lights
Nice work, not sure if you check in here often.... But, how bright are they when dimmed low? I could see it bugging me when driving to work at 4am before I have had my monster drink.
dose this process work for the ac controls too or something else needed?
Awesome video. may I ask where you got the steering wheel?
How did y’all adjust the needles? About to stab my dash back after doing this and want to know how to do it before I have the issue lol
It's best to put them back where they were when the truck was shut off. I kept the plastic off the gauge cluster and had the key to ignition so I could make sure they were lined up.

I just spent 4 1/2 hours doing this it’s 4 in the morning and rpm side don’t light up and all the needles are off I’m sick over it
So, what if i want it a different color? What would i do to make it?
I love that color blue you painted your truck! What is it?
Truck looks amazing, btw what color is that? sonic blue?
Thanks
Hey how did u fix the tach problem?? Im having the same problem:/
Do you half to scrap the green off im planning on doing red led lights but don't want to take the gauges apart to do it
To see the red light from the LED's you have to scrape the green film off unfortunately.
I did these, not hard and looked good. Then a few day later the flicker, different bulbs at different times. Weird set up for contact. tried cleaning the copper but they are unreliable.
How did you adjust the gages ?
What kinda turbo is on the white single cab?
Remember 20 years ago when changing the entire cluster to a white face was the thing to do
Been waiting for this upload lol!!! 👍👍👍👍 😂😂
Hey would this work for a Ford F-150 1994
Do you have a U-pull-it type auto yard around you, good to get parts and practice removing stuff.
What is the name of the blue paint on the truck
How is the dimming with these?
Looks dope what did the paint job cost?
where did you get your steering wheel kit
On those auxito LEDS what’s the part number
I’ve been wanting to this to my obs as well thanks for the tips
I changed mine yesterday and when I hooked my cluster back up now they ABS light is on and won't go off. The bulb wasn't blowed before I changed it because it would come on and go back off after the truck was running. Anyone ever have this problem?

There has to be a resistive load for the flasher to work. A flasher is a self resetting circuit breaker.
Have you had any trouble from these bulbs? I’m thinking about ordering a set
Hey do you remember the actual bulb size you used, auxito has a ton of different bulbs listed on Amazon.
Its in the description
Looks really good
Where did u get the magnet light ?
Badass intro
Can you post a link to buy the LEDs
Are the bulbs auditor 194??

LMC truck
What’s the link for the led light bulbs?
link for the lights? how many lights are needed?
@The 7.3 Garage how u do your steering wheel setup?
It's a Grant racing wheel with their hub adapter for a 94-97 f-series truck. Summit racing or Jegs has them!
What year SuperDuty is your column gauge from?
What type of rims do you have?
Is anyone having any issue with their temperature gauges after they did this? My coolant gauge is working well but my oil temperature always goes to normal even if it’s cold
Intro is fucking lit🤘🤘🤘🤘
What steering wheel is that?
And can you dim those lights?
Wouldn't that be a bit bright? Looks like it
Has anyone just switched to LEDs and left the green tint? I like the green but it seems to dim even with no bulbs/cleaning cluster
New bulbs*
What rims are those?
What’s the number you purchased from auxito?
Intro music was ridiculously loud.
That leak is what happens when you don’t drive your car. 😂
Awesome now i can do this
Been looking for a vid to do this
Cpaddict.com should have that clear lens
