Brave roll angle given an aileron failure
It was a little steep, and I don't know the plane all that well yet, I have done some STOL flying, so I think that was instinct but riding the edge for sure :) Thanks for stopping in
@@Burstix All good. IRL, I do garden variety GA, so low and slow STOL is intriguing to me.. But i intentionally stay away from “max performance anything” unless have tons of altitude. I feared your return to the airport would be similar to nearly everyone who attempts the Impossible Turn. Glad it worked out. Brave man !
Love STOL planes. One of my favourite is the Zenith CH 701, it requires a bit of practice to land especially if you use flaiperons, that bird lose altitude like a damn stone. 😂
@@baomao7243 I hear that, safe is better! I most likely wouldn't have tried the turn back if I didn't have power you would have seen me straightforward into the trees trying to float it in as softly as possible lol. Thanks for the comments stop by a live stream sometime!
@@Viviansen Oh yeah! The Zenith 701 is great, currently our number one contender in the unlimited National eSTOL class as I mentioned in the video. It's a lot of fun and many of our National eSTOL Pilots fly it! Not sure if you noticed the most recent update, but we actually had SWS work with us to update it to make the stole characteristics closer to real life and we had professional STOL pilot Justin Tisdale work with us to get the mod in the same perfected!
