I met Bonnie Tyler in 1996 whilst working as a pianist in Swansea and I was chatting with her and Ronnie Scott who wrote 'Its a heartache- and Lost in France etc.Ronnie asked me who my influences were and I told him that I admired Tori Amos immensely and Bonnie Tyler agreed that Tori is an extremely talented artist. What I find is that she always finds a way to make a song her own, instead of doing what many other performers do and rip it straight off. You don't have to like the way she does it, but you can't deny at least she puts her own mark on them.

I used to think only Tori brings to life a song.... but there are a few other artists out there capable of such wonderful performances, like Bonnie Tyler who gave life to this work of art... and the way Tori takes entities like "Total eclipse of the heart" and nurtures them, and gives 'em a taste of her overwhelming, never-ending passion, what more could you ask for?...
