The jobs are in the major cities, nobody in a country town is going to make a good income, unless its online. This is worldwide, not just in Italy. My young Italian relative came to Australia and said the same thing. I asked how many people lived in his area, he said 4000 people. What??? Then I asked him about his work ethic, it sucked. Then I asked him about his appearance which was working against him. After a few slaps in the back of his stupid head he headed home, bruised but inspired. He now owns his own boat repair business around a major marina in Italy and has a high respect for me. Can't wait to go see him, and he was so demoralized from this Italian attitude that he was formally selling drugs and robbing houses. Italians need to find the gold hidden in the dirt. Gold doesn't just suddenly appear. You have to dig and most of ALL STOP DEMORALIZING THE YOUNG. Give them hope and vision of a life they cannot see yet.
omg I am in LOVE with that last property! My wife and I just moved back to the US 6 months ago after living in England and Germany the last 15 years. I would have made an offer if this was available while we lived there.
The historic villa with panoramic tower listing says that it is "in need of renovation". My hunch is that only pictures of parts that were renovated are shown. Still...very cute!!
I do think it’s pretty old. But maybe the agent is connected to a builder and hoping to set up more work. I could see some cosmetic work, but nothing serious. But that’s just my opinion!
Hey Tommy, are any of these houses still available? My wife and I are planning a trip in April or May 2025. I know these are probably not gonna be available then but we were wondering how we could contact you when we get there
The property listings should be in the description below the video. You’ll have to check directly with the agents to see if they’re still available. Best of luck!
If I purchased a home in Italy, and knew I would traveling back and forth to the United States at least 3-4 times a year, do I even need to worry about one of those retirement visas?
If you stay no more than 90 days every 180 days, you just need a passport. Longer than that and you need a visa. And you can split up the 90/180 however you want. Go for a month, come home a month. Go back for 3 months, come home for 3 months. Etc.
I am an Italian living abroad and this makes me so sad, Italy is collapsing.Young people are unable to make a living.
They could definitely use more investment from abroad.

Very nice. They actually want these homes to be lived in, they look very loved.
Agreed. They would make dream retirement homes.
The property for 238 000 Euros is about as perfect as they come. The kitchen is an exercise in efficiency. Nice selection.
Thanks! I thought they all had their strong points.
But you’re right. That cheapest one is simply wonderful!
🤯 Whoa Tommy ! These homes are so beautiful ❤ . They would be millions of millions of dollars in US 😊

What are property taxes like in Italy? National? Regional? Local?
They are typically cheap, for houses with smaller lots we looked in southern Italy, they were around 300 euros a year.
Typically 0.4 to 0.8 % of cadastral value.

If you go to Gate-Away.com you can search by price. The lowest tier is €50k I believe.
