14:43 The lush mountain vista does look like Ojai, CA. It is beautiful and serene.
I would put a bath on both floors and cover the stairs to the bedrooms and make a hole in the kitchen wall to use it from inside the house. There’s no reason to go outside to go to bed, just cover those stairs. I’d leave the bath at street level and use it to clean up after working on the land. Then the little home would make sense and be a sweet little get away.❤️🤗🐝
Love the land and olive trees with it. Looks beautiful up there❤
Amazing! This is the property with the most potential you have ever shown! Great video!
Great discussion, by the way, of the different towns. Your videos are always so informative. Thank you, as always.
That is very nice of you to say. I always worry that I am being to talky and throwing in too much info. Glad it is welcomed! BRAD
@@BradsWorld No! There's no such thing as too much information, especially when you talk about the towns. I've driven myself CRAZY trying to find the right town for my price range. All information is welcome.
Hey Brads, I really liked your presentation style ! Though I in different country but wish to have one such property in future... it's quiet, peaceful indeed.
Love it ❤
Lovely
I love it ❤
Demolish the existing bathroom. Add a new full bathroom upstairs with a big walk-in shower. Add a half bath on the first floor. It’s a shame that some people can’t see the potential because this could be a fabulous country home.
Are you a designer?
What people are you talking about that can't see the potential ?
He just showed this property 5 days ago, exactly when you left your comment.
Restore outside bathroom always nice when outdoors add new bathroom at bedroom level…
Maybe next time you're down there tour a house in Sora itself? Looks like a gorgeous town. Great to be introduced to somewhere that otherwise I'd never considered, thanks.
Yeah I am talking to Claudia about that. I stayed in an amazing BnB in town that was so reasonable and right on that street I was walking on... I like that town and could see living in it!
I'd want a bath upstairs and down and an inside stairway.
That olive grove would be a good spot to build a decent sized house.
Ciao Brad and Claudia.
Ok brad thx y very much
Right before you made that comment about Sora, I was looking over your shoulder and thinking it reminded me of New Orleans!
Great minds think alike!
I could live in this! Very nice. Soul see if stairs could be inclosed
I love it and would jump but I need to get out there to see it myself. O and, I just purchased your book. It should be here in a few days!
Great! Hope you like the book. And everyone should be over here to see before they buy unless you are really familiar with the areas!
@@BradsWorldwhat's the physical address?? Seriously. Why don't you post that so we can all do our own research?
Just discovered your channel, Brad (greetings from NYC from one 'Allan' to another!). Interesting little house and layout, tho a little too remote for me. I'm also looking myself more specifically in Abruzzo to buy in the next couple of years. For what the house has already I don't think it needs that much work, just cosmetic. I'd even keep the kitchen the way it is. I'd agree with the commenter who would but baths on each floor and cover the outside stairs, and I'd probably put a spiral staircase on the inside. As for Leroy Merlin, I'm sure you know it's a French company founded by two French guys, Leroy and Merlin (pronounced the French way!) Anyway I got to know the store while I was living in Poland and South Africa for two years each, and it ended up being a favorite home store! I'll be checking out your other videos now. Ciao!
Welcome to BradsWorld! Glad you’re with us now!
I know it is not a priority to many but it would be nice to run those power lines underground to enhance the view… nice fixer… oh and the earth is a plane not a planet… peace
Love
Every time i see properties like this which are steals i said to myself " and just to think that many people in the US , and other expensive counties could easily solve their living situation here in italy with this insane prices! Wow!!!
That's right Ana! All of you who are wondering how you are going to make ends meet on your $2800/mo in Social Security!?! Welcome to Italy!
Any way to add an internal staircase? Would use existing bath as storage/outside mudroom and add 2 baths, one on each floor
You could do Venetian Plaster on the walls.
Card playing table!
The house can be extended ?
bathroom shared wt the neighbors.....
Hi brad. How far from the town is this house? The price is negociable? And how much the fees will be?
Its just a few mins from town. The price isnt going to be THAT negotiable... It's only €32K! Not sure on fees, you would need to talk to Claudia@AlfanoRealEstate.com.
Well that was probably the strangest house you’ve ever shown. Redeeming qualities price, view, and that garage.
Needs some work for sure. But another 40K and a nice place.
And it comes with nosy neighbors right across the street and next to your garage! And no bathroom! Just for Euros 32K! What a deal!
OK Smarty pants... The "neighbors" were just the son and father owners waiting while we filmed. The house across the street is owned by some people from Midele AMerica that jsut bought it last year as a base for European travels.
Any house this cheap is going to need some renovations and additions. Have we become so spoiled that a house AFTER renovations could be had WITH land and a HUGE garage for €70.000 all fixed up nice? In the EU? Near to a cute town and close to others and 90 mins from Rome in a place that doesn't have earthquakes?!?
My friends new pickups in Texas cost more than that!
How dare someone be outside on their own property and look at someone 😂
@@paulb1951 It was a bit creepy, wasn't it, though? You ever wonder why all these real estate vloggers DON"T have any people prowling around when they are trying to pitch a house? Hmmm?
I subscribed and put notifications on, so that I can keep on the know with you. Does this property qualify for the 7% Flat Tax regime? Is there any financing? I can put 50% down. Can you purchase from overseas? Thank you for sharing. Chow!
No on Tax scheme. You can't get a loan on a property this cheap...
Yes on purchasing from Overseas as long as Italians can purchase in your home country.
I see a lot of work
Oh yeah!! This would keep you busy for a while. But good bones.
Ciao Brad. We have a home in southern Umbria close to Orvieto. We are looking for home improvement stores like those featured in this video. Having no luck finding locations via the web. Coolidge you share the names again if the 3 retail stores ? Thanks in advance. Fran & Barry
Obi has a location in Viterbo, less than an hour from You. You can also search for Leroy Merlin and Technomat. Good luck! BTW our OBI is about 1 hour from us too... But when you need a lot of different things it is worth the trip and prices are MUCH better than the local little stores.
Mille grazie!!
Can that staircase be enclosed?
I am not sure, doubt the city would object... But I would look at doing an internal spiral first, those are pretty simple and wouldn't probably even need approval and much cheaper. But just thinking outloud here...
Thank you...
I would just buy this for the view alone. Too bad, I dont have schengen visa or Us visa to act on this right away. Do they have fiber optic lines?
Not out here in country like this house. But in even smallish towns you often do. You can get Starlink for €40/month and just €200 equipment cost. I have 200 Megs down and about 12 Maximum UP on that service in the country in Italy where I live.
@@BradsWorld i work from home so it is must. If this will be a holiday home, does Italy suffers from squatters or Okupas like in spain and US? Illegal settlers who occupy empty holiday homes?
What a strange setup for a living space with the outside stair to the bedrooms and that bath under the stairs also from the outsude of the house. What concerns me most are those creepy neighbours, thing is you buy the house and also get these strange guys with it. Maybe they'd be willing to sell their property for another 30k? Anyway I do love the location and I can see the potential this building has to offer. I like it a lot.
The creepy neighbors were the owners that had come over and were waiting for us to get done filming... 🤣🤣🤣
The other house on other side of the street was sold to a couple from Missouri, USA!
@@BradsWorld lol mr. olavschneider might be the creepy one still living in moms basement..
Wish my property in Deneysville South Africa would sell.. I would put a cash offer in on this and retire in Italy
Good luck! Wish my property in Texas would sell so we could buy our family home here…!
@@BradsWorld.. good luck right back at you..
You should promote your property in Texas with one of the agents there as a holiday destination for those who travel a lot.
I know my neighbourhood have 3 French family with holiday homes, as they say, they follow the sun
160m2 is 1700sqf
Thanks! I try to give on the fly estimates. People get the idea. I would love to just do everything in metric but... America can't seem to get on the wagon with the rest of the world on that.
I need some contact info for this property. Thanks.
Claudia@AlfanoRealEstate.com. I have contact info in the videos always!!
Is it too much to ask for an address so I can do my own research of the location?
Found it: Via Valle, 25, 03030 Ciaiali FR, Italy
@@mr2ferrari Just a friendly heads up, addresses are almost never given on property videos like these or outside of inquiring with the local agent directly because of privacy concerns. Believe it or not, people do take the info and show up completely unannounced to the property and catching the current residents at home, which is understandably disconcerting for them. And when you do manage to find an address on your own, it would be a good idea not to post it. 🙂
Yeah no... I check it on satellite and that is not the place. There is no garage and too many houses around. Just contact Claudia the agent at the email in video and she will get you situated. You don't have to be a sleuth!
All very true and correct Allan!
Hi is this place still available thanks I’m new
Probably yes. You can contact the agent in the video Claudia directly to ask at Claudia@AlfanoRealEstate.com
Why don't you cover how hard (long) it takes to get plans o.k. to do any renovations and how expensive labor cost's are . It's not a walk in the park when you have to wait a year to do some up dating to a property. 🇺🇸
He does state how much a kitchen reno would cost, didn’t you watch?
What kind of wild life there? Wolves, bears, cougars?
Wild Boar, Fox, Spinosa (think gigantic Porcupine), Badger, Deer, Rabbits, not sure about wolves, they have them a bit farther north in Umbria and Tuscany...
That house is almost “demolish and rebuild” worthy (saving the blue tiles from the big master bedroom). Having an external staircase to access both bedrooms is just yuck. The only saving grace is the walls in that back room behind the kitchen will look beautiful if that coating is removed and that bluish color is exposed all the way around. I wonder if there would be a way to build an internal staircase up from the kitchen or living room and create a hallway in some of the excess space in that huge bedroom, so you walk up internal stairs into a hallway and enter each bedroom from that hallway. You might be able to put an en suite into each bedroom.
Here's a funny... A lot of even the very expensive homes here in Tuscany where I live have an external staircase first and foremeost, then sometimes have been redone with internal. The reason is that in the olden days, the downstairs was just for animals and tools, and the families lived upstairs. Not saying that is the case here but maybe. And the bathroom might have been an add on when they started making indoor baths! Who knows.
Still for sale?
Believe so. Email the agent. Claudia@AlfanoRealEstate.com
They dont answer phone call and send msgs for all 3 different phone
So many of these little towns have groups of men outside. Where are the ladies?
They are inside, making bread and complaining about the men in the village😂😂😂
The amazing thing to me is always seeing the crowds of 80 year old guys chilling at the local coffee shop or sitting on the benches. Truly a Blue Zone.
@@BradsWorld So true! Like you say, there are crowds of old men hanging outside. They look happy though. If I was an old guy, this is where I'd like to be.
Found it! Via Valle, 25, 03030 Ciaiali FR, Italy
Excellent!
