This was so beautiful. I have the posters of the artwrok in this video hung up in my room. And as a Portland, Oregonian, it was like watching the places I grew up with turn into a beautiful magical animation like my childhood studio Ghibli movies. Legitimately started tearing up.

Also, as a Theatre Nerd, seeing the annual Shakespeare Festival performing "A Midsummer Night's Dream" just made me smile so much ^_^ (I played Puck in my local community theatre's version of Midsummer. We set our version in 1962 ^_^ )

You guys always make me cry with joy when I watch these. Every time. Since the one trip I took with my family when I was 12, it was the most magical place I could ever imagine. Disney could never compare.
I'm 35 now, my life is very depressive and my health is terrible, I almost died 2 years ago, and my biggest wish is to some day, manage to make it back and spend whatever years I have left there.

Why are these commercials for Oregon so beautiful? The animation, the music, etc. Everything about it is so enchanting. I could watch them on a loop & be happy with life.

Why just do Oregon? If we do 10 episodes at a time, then we have enough states to do 5 seasons! Plus territorial holdings. The question is what should this be about?

Go during a wet season, and prepare for it. The clouds hang so low, you can almost tickle their bellies. The fresh scent of mint, wildflowers, and fresh berries is like a true Eden.

Bro, I live in Portland and...it's nice and all, but I went to Berlin on my honeymoon and it blew me away. Yeah we're better for food/beer/cocktails/groceries I'm sure. But in terms of livability, Germany is pretty sweet. I'm highly considering moving to the Netherlands to get away from our terrible car culture.

If I remember correctly, there's a vineyard that plays opera for the grapes to grow even better.

Saw this today while watching UA-cam on my TV. The beginning reminded me of my favorite movie Spirited Away so I didn't skip! Even the score sounds influenced by Joe Hisaishi. It's rare to actually enjoy an ad. Very nicely done!

There was this beautifully animated commercial with birds and nature in a style similar to this for mountain spring water or something. To this day, I still am not able to find it ever again. I saw it like one or two years ago on cable, couldn't find it since.

So basically the ad company Oregon commissioned asked what type of ad they were looking for and was basically told "Ghibli, Oregon but all through a Studio Ghibli lense an maybe a "little bit" embellished."

I’m loving the fact I didn’t see this from an ad, but because I rewatched these endlessly this year.
Saw this recently as an ad on an anime streaming website. Great job!
The only commercial I can remember that brought a true smile to my face. Studio Ghibli movies are my favorite anime, and this is obviously inspired by them, which is so lovely. The music is A+. I backtracked and joyfully discovered the other two videos, and by the third video there was surprisingly a tear rolling down my cheek. I didn't believe it was possible to create such ambiance outside of Miyazaki's mind, but here they are, and in America no less! Thank you for highlighting the magic of Oregon. I live in Kentucky, have visited Washington and California, but Oregon is next!

Fall is the best season in all of Oregon. But seriously, Portland is Portland. See OMSI, see the zoo, then go see the wilds. See the raw nature. See the ocean, but far from the manmade campgrounds. Exploration is half the fun.
@@TeacherinTraining39 Yes! We are doing all of that! Spending 4 days in Portland visiting the museum, Japanese garden, etc; 4 days in the gorge hiking, and 2 days at the beach. This is definitely not enough time, so we will for sure be back to do more next time too!

Definitely travel to Oregon, it is stunning and wonderfully ecologically diverse! I hope they do more future videos and cover John Day and the dinosaurs, the Newberry volcanic fields, God's thumb and Cascade Head, the Brookings natural bridges, Smith Rock, Big Obsidian Flow, the wonderful tide pools, maybe toss in the Goonies. I love this state and can't wait until my son is old enough for us to take him there!

These adds really are the best things ever and me cry every time. As someone born and raised in Oregon, they really do capture the soul of the state in art. I'd love to see some wheat fields in the next one if y'all take requests. And skiing, snowboarding, surfing and wind surfing, I don't think those have been done yet
