Went to a local Italian restaurant last night for some Alfredo f,, the guy gave me free bread and free salad and the recepie for the sauce wowwww I was so blessed! I had a homeless guy do some gardening that day and payed him well, so I felt I was blessed cus I blessed sombody!! Good deeds always come back!
I've made many Alfredo sauces. Believe me when I tell you this. Once after Sautéed garlic, add a palm size of cream cheese. Smash it up over heat and mix with garlic. Then add heavy cream. And then parmesan. This has been a game changer, most amazing sauce I've ever had. Beats all the restaurants, and so simple. Cream cheese is a must!
I did this recipe and I was in heaven. Incredibly DELICIOUSS. Thank you maravilloso (wonderful) chef. This recipe is so, so easy and so, so delicious. I do not have words to describe how delicious this recipe is!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG
I have made homemade Alfredo sauce before. I used cream cheese with low fat milk with garlic powder and a small amount of onions in it. I never thought about straining the sauce, Thanks for showing me this and also a better recipe than the one I make.
Since I saw this video a few months ago, I have never bought another bottle of sauce again. It's so easy to make, in a few minutes, plus I konw exactly what's in there.
Thanks for these videos. They're a big help. I have a question though. If I wanted to create a spinach alfredo, sort of like a pesto flavor I guess, could I just cook some spinach in the sauce or would I have to puree or something?

6:41 AM JUNE 2 2022 THANKS FOR SHARING THE BEST ALREDO FETUCCINE RECIPE SAUCE . ITS VERY CLEAR FOR GIVING AN EXPLANTION AND SO THANKFUL FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO . LOOKS SO YUMMY AND GREAT I LOVE IT AND IM CRAVING FOR THIS THANKS AND GOD BLESS
In this video, Chef Mark X. Dowling leads an online cooking lesson for Alfredo sauce that gives you all the details you’ll need to prepare your own. Read more and get the recipe: learntocook.com/sauce/how-to-make-alfredo-sauce/
I really love fetucini with Alfredo sauce but the store bought seems not good for me. I love homemade and thanks for sharing your video. What kind of cream did you use? Thank you so much.
So i made this today my goooood it was so tasty. Used gouda with the cream with a bit of Parmesan and i added black pepper and Broccoli the result was beyond my expectation. Thank you so much :)
I thought that’s how you say shallots so when I made it at the restaurant I asked the owner to by me shallots and he said “what?” I then said it again and again he said “what?” Then I told him what I wanted to make and he said oh shallots! Lol I made it and the guests loved it!!! Thank you for teaching me!
Hi there, I am a student of a Technical College of Nutrition and Household, and I've gotta say that I really enjoyed watching this recipe! I've only got one curious question though. I live in a country where Parmezan cheese is really expensive. Would it be okay for me to substitute that with Mozarella cheese?
garoslaw You may use mozzarella cheese, but keep in mind that the flavor is going to be different. Also the cheese is not going to melt the same way as parmesan, so you may end up with a sauce that has strings of cheese in it. If you can find another dry cheese like Romano it would be much better.
Its not the best solution. The mozzarella cheese has a more rubbery texture than parmesarn and it won't melt as much. Plus the flavor will not be the same. Good substitutions for Parmesan is cheeses like Asiago and Ramona. When I use asiago it taste exactly the same but it is a bit more saltier than Parmesan.
Am a Nigerian, and a lover of Alfredo pasta, pls where can get the cream to make the Alfredo sauce, or rather what is the component for the cream, pls helpppp
Hello Chef Mark. I am very curious; why would we strain the shallots (and just retain it's flavors) and not have them in the sauce with the pasta? Wouldn't keeping what's left of the shallots gives the dish more texture and bite? Or, is it that keeping the shallots spoils the originality of Fettuccine Alfredo? Thanks. (I have the acquired ingredients and am ready to try your recipe :) )
This is the first video I watched. I then watched like 5 more. This is the best and he gives you a lot of good little tips. The other videos need to just stop trying. Lots of misinformation on them.
+Menna Hassan Great question Meanna, the answer is no, not all the alcohol will evaporate from the sauce. Is hard to say the percentage of the alcohol that will remain in the sauce, but you will have some alcohol in the sauce, so is not alcohol free.
I will now be successful in my second attempt at making Alfredo sauce. It was interesting to know that you don't need to make a rue. Yuck! Describes my alfredo. I will definitely be using this recipe and method. Thank you for this video.

LOVE THE DAYS LIKE THESE!!! These type of days are awesome but then one day a rude person does or says something bad and it ruins the whole vibe 😞

Thanks for the cream cheese suggestion (which I have but no cream!)
what is a palm size.. like a scoop or tablespoon?
What is palm size?
You can make the Alfredo sauce without using any wine and still will taste very good.
Trevor Phillips Use alcohol-free wine?
Sebastian Lund Nielsen You may use alcohol free wine or if you don’t want to use any wine that would be OK.
Thank you. I am in the process of making it now.
Ayesha Khansa hope you enjoy!
Yes, I did and also i got so many compliments yesterday. My brothers loved it.
Thank you.
Lovely details. How about black pepper also????

great idea to strain off the shallots! I shall try that! I love the flavour but hate the texture in creamy pasta sauces thanks!
It's very clearly explained and easy to make. Thank you a lot!
Really enjoyed your presentation of the Alfredo Souce. Very straight forward. Easy to recreate. Thanks!

If you want to add spinach to your Alfredo sauce, you can sauté the spinach and drain the liquid then you can add the Alfredo sauce.

Try it with a splash of crème sherry, and a dash of nutmeg. Use Parmesan Regianno instead of regular Parmesan. It’s amazing.

Can i just use full cream milk instead of heavy cream?
Sounds great, but how much measurements? I am a beginner just learning how to cook.

Thank you for you sharing chef awesome 👍❤️❤️
Watching from phil. My Fav. Alfredo pasta
Am a Nigerian, and a lover of Alfredo pasta, pls where can get the cream to make the Alfredo sauce, or rather what is the component for the cream, pls helpppp
Hi Ogunleye, You should be able to find heavy cream at any grocery store. Cream has a high fat content, so is milk and fat.
You can change with bechamel sauce i think, just fresh milk(full cream to get the creamy) and onion pique with roux

Well if you want you may leave the shallots in the sauce, but if you want a silky sauce I would recommend straining the shallots.
LearnToCook Thank you, Chef Mark. I appreciate that.
And why garlic before shallots , if garlic burns faster. Because the Low heat when starting ?
Thank you.
which ingridieant instead for white wine
Super recipe amazing
Would be nice to know where you take this recipe from? Do you have any italian recipe book or you have been in Italy and stole the recipe?
Suuper common recipe lmao
Plz can u tel me what he put after garlic
what can we use instead of wine?
👏👏🙏 amazing CHEF 👨🍳 , Shukran .
Is there any way I could avoid using wine? And if so, what would you recommend as a substitute?
Water or white wine vinegar which is free of alcohol with flavour of white wine. Or, just deglaze the pan with heavy cream.
You can use chiken broth or clam juice if is for seafood pasta.
Girl just use white vinegar
U don't need to use wine. U could even juice white grape juice if you wanted that sweetness bit of a bite but wine is not necessary at all.
Loveeeeed it!! Thank you Chef for sharing this with us.
Emilia Soto You are welcome!
which cream do u use and wat is the name of the cream
It's a joy to be in your channel. Thank you
We appreciate the love!
what can i use in replacement of wine?
Chicken stock
That looks so good 👍
I saw butter being recommended instead of olive oil somewhere else. What is the difference? Is olive oil better?
Well olive oil is much healthier than butter, so if you want to use olive oil instead of butter that would be fine.
Please
Becky Norris because if you add butter and then you add cream it will get greasey.
Jessica John it's greasy with the olive oik
Marco Sánchez it is indeed, but on the bright side olive oil is healthier so I'd personally prefer using olive oil over butter.
Thanks great i always wanted to know that .
what type of cheese did he use ? is it cream cheese parmesan or mozarella ? .
Parmesan or pecorino id say
We don't have wine where I live. how can I replace this?

What is shallot??
I would have kept the sauteed veggies in it, I love sauteed veggies! Just my preference! But it still looks good.
I think, you can add some fine chopped carrot.
what kind of cream you used?
+Betsy Daniela right? the most important thing and he says "cream" lol like what!?
+8jsimone Heavy cream I would imagine.
Definitely delicious 👌😊 Just follow and you'll have a great Alfredo pasta anytime at home ❤️
Thank you! This is a fantastic tutorial!!!
How long was the cooking time?
You want to cook the sauce until it gets to a nappe consistency, this means when it coats a spoon with a thin layer of sauce. About 10 - 12 minutes.
