    Boston creme donuts are the best dessert in the world! I would eat this all the time if it wasn't so bad for me!

    I made the Boston cream donuts except I used white chocolate. Regular,dark chocolate messes me up for some reason.it's like prune juice for my body. But was very delicious & I thank you for sharing your results & ideas.🎊💯

    As much as you bake, you deserve a new stand mixer! I recommend & love my Bosch mixer! It by far outshines a Kitchen-Aide mixer any day in my book! While it is awesome that you show how to make recipes without a stand mixer is awesome & encouraging to those home bakers whom don’t have one, having one streamlines the process and makes doubling recipes for larger families, for sharing, or for company a breeze!

    Oh Sam I tried making these Donuts filled with Boston cream but unfortunately, I failed at them I was so excited about making them than I disappointed myself. First of all, I want to say that my failure has NOTHING to do with your tutorial you not only show how to make them you also explain everything step by step making it easy to follow. When I put the first donut in the hot oil which I had the temperature at 350 the donut split in a couple of places on the top and a few others did the same thing, also when I went to pierce the donut on the side for the cream the donut wanted to split in half. also, me and the piping bag is a different story, Lol It went out the top when I tried filling the donut, but I'm thinking that I probably put way too much filling in the bag not sure on that. Now I have left over pastry cream and chocolate glaze that I don't know what to do with. I'm afraid my making cream filled donuts is just not going to happen. 😪 On a positive note the pastry cream came out perfect and tastes delicious. 😊

    I don't know quite where I fucked up but following the recipe exactly my dough was still super sticky so I added flour until it was just like hers. Everything was fine until I was frying 350⁰ was way too high, my doughnuts began getting real dark and was uncooked on the inside. They were also extremely dense

    I would be very careful with this recipe. I made this recipe and it came out way too dense. You really proofed before you do any of the steps. Also, the doughnuts should rise after they have been stamped. I wound up wasting a lot of ingredients. I am going to try to redo this recipe with proofing active yeast instead of rapid rise yeast. I might add a little more sugar to help yeast.

    • @SugarSpunRun
      @SugarSpunRun  9 місяців тому +1

      Hi! The donuts do rise before they are stamped, this alone may be why yours came out dense if you skipped this.
