- By dipping a toothbrush in watercolor paint and running your finger across the bristles, you can create a wonderful splatter effect! In addition, a clean toothbrush and water can essentially "erase" little mistakes on your watercolor paper.

Very helpful! Thanks!
You’re welcome! So glad it was helpful. 😊
Hard or soft toothbrush?
Great question! Either one will work. Since the soft toothbrush is more flexible, you may get larger splashes of color when your paint is really watered down. The one I used in this video had pretty stiff bristles, but you could go with whatever you have on hand.
@@corriefrankcreates thank you ‼️
You’re welcome! One thing I forgot to mention is that soft bristles might be a little friendlier to the surface of your paper surface when “erasing” mistakes. Hope this helps. 😊
@@corriefrankcreates This helped a lot. Much appreciated ❤️😁
Oh..i actually wanted to paint with the toothbrush
Ooh, I totally bet you could! It would probably work for loose washes in the background and creating texture in a landscape. Maybe I’ll try it out in another video. Thanks for the idea!
@@corriefrankcreates thank you for replying and good luck
@@MoukhlesDerbalOf course, and thank you!
